G&G Combat Machine R16 Carbine AEG

Very accurate and extremely sturdy. Even though it is almost all plastic, it is very solid. The sights are BRILLIANT. The mag capacity is very high as well. And the magazine can take several drops to concrete and still work fine. This is a great gun.

The gun isn't perfect, but there is nothing specific that I would change.

This is a great buy. For the price, I don't think you could find anything better. I love it.

Fantastic value for the money, I have two of them that were returns to Pyramydair. I've used them for a year and really beat on them without any problem whatsoever. Get a Specter Gear 3 point sling and the Elite Force M4/M16 midcap magazine 10 pack. TruGlo or Leaper's red dot optics are great on these.

the first thing is the realistic weight when you first shoot it it drops a bit but that is an easy fix with the hop up comes with 1000 .20 gram bbs (sweet)the body it plasttic but its midas well be metal because it feels like it and it has all metal internals witch is great i pesonally liked the tan version but that doesnt matter and it fits really well in mt sholder and i love the realalistic features of the gun just great all around gun G and G prodused another great gun

I personally like to shoot aloot so i would buy anothe mag or 2 but thats just me also i would also buy a 8.4 high performance battery just for a little bit more higher rate of fire but that is just me again and maby if you want to spend a little more money get a red dot or a holographic site or somthing because this thing is dead accurate and the price for a G@G weapon like this is a steal and i myself coould not pass it up

After a lot of research and reading, I bought two of these (one for my 10 year old son and one for me to defend myself LOL). Build quality is great. Solid on the outside. Internals are metal, high quality, and fully repairable and upgradable. I'm an engineer so this was an important criteria. Don’t forget to buy 9.6volt 2000mAH batteries (or higher maH which gives you more operating time). The 2000maH batteries easily survived through 4-5 hours of airsoft at a birthday party, which finished with full auto target shooting, magazine after magazine, until one rifle stopped working-totally dead. The other was fine. I received the inoperative rifle and discovered the batteries were too hot to hold! I let them cool for about 2 hours, plugged them into the charger, and the next day the rifle was good to go. I don’t know if the batteries were the issue or if the rifle has some sort of thermal protection as the motor heat could also be felt through the pistol grip. If these two rifles can survive 5 hours of 10-11 year olds running around a woods, hills, dirt and dust along with a bunch of full auto shooting, then they have passed the ultimate quality and durability test. I highly recommend these rifles as a quality alternative to anything available at the big box stores…and I imagine Pyramyd has made some airsoft sales to Colorado Springs and Monument, CO recently as a result of these rifles' performance.

Make sure the lockscrew on the adjustable stock is secured (it's the nut that that the stock lever pushes against to let you adjust the stock). We lost one nut at the party. Made my own replacement with parts from the local Ace Hardware Store and loctited the nut on the other rifle. The front sight is not removable---so if you remove the rear sight/handle to install a 30mm red dot sight, you may want to purchase a weaver riser. It doesn't bother me or my son, but the red dot is blocked by the front sight without a riser. Buy lots of ammo--I only bought 20,000 rounds of biodegradable ammo...and it's all gone---that's not including what the 10 kids brought themselves to the birthday party.

Bottom line: GREAT Airgun, adjustable stock great for adults or kids, just the right weight.

You should buy at least two "normal" capacity magazines as many places do not allow high capacity magazines. Of course, we are also looking at a 5000 round magazine.......I believe one battery may actually suffice for that!

Also--do NOT use these with only eye protection---USE a FULL face mask that protects your eyes, face, teeth, and ears This is very important. Paintball masks work very well.

First off this gun is solid. It's more solid than some metal guns I have purchased. The body is a hard nylon fiber (basically ABS plastic but stronger and looks and feels like metal ). The retractable stock and barrel are fully metal along with the magazine. In a summarization of the gun, everything is solid enough that if I dropped it on concrete from 4 feet high, it wouldn't phase it. This gun will shoot strait for a good 150 feet or 50 yards. I know on the box it says 340-350 fps. but I took it too the range and with .2 gram BBs it got up to 390. The first 50 shots you fire out of the gun will vary on fps but that is because it needs to be broken in. Over all the best gun I have purchased!

IT DOES NOT COME WITH A BATTERY so make sure that you order a battery and charger. The battery casing is pretty difficult to open.

I reccomend this gun to anyone who even took the time to view the gun. It's a great value for the money!
