Description
The FX Maverick Sniper Air Rifle has been engineered from the beginning to markedly increase performance when shooting heavier pellets and slugs, while also retaining their celebrated accuracy with traditional ammo. They accomplished this through their typical method of leading the industry to new heights by pursuing surprising innovations.
The Sniper model features a longer barrel for more velocity and power than the smaller versions, as well as a larger-capacity air cylinder for more overall shots.
The biggest technological advances on this air rifle are the greater plenum volume and the dual externally-adjustable AMP regulators. The 89cc power plenum—the biggest FX has ever put on an airgun—generates very powerful shots, while the dual regulators control the pressure in two steps, leading to very consistent shot-to-shot velocity.
FX has also emphasized a tactical design for the chassis of this airgun, with a new FX buttpad, textured FX AR grip, and the ability to further adapt the functionality through aftermarket parts. The Maverick comes with an angled 20 MOA Picatinny optics rail optimized for long-distance performance, plus three Picatinny accessory rails for adding bipods, lasers, and lights.
All of these new additions shouldn't obscure the fact that this air rifle also offers all of the same top-notch features shooters have come to rely on, such as the Superior Smooth Twist X (STX) barrel and liner system, 2-stage adjustable match trigger, dual manometers, and revolutionary external rear power adjuster with 7 macro adjustment presets plus micro adjustments via a hex bolt in the hole in the 8th setting.
To get a market-leading air rifle with improvements such as dual AMP regulators and increased power from a larger plenum, buy an FX Maverick Sniper Air Rifle at Pyramyd AIR today.

10 of 26 FX Airguns Maverick Sniper Reviews
I am getting the hang of tuning this rifle,I really like the adjustable dual regulators. The huge air bottle is lightweight and holds a ton of air. The cocking lever is smooth and works flawlessly. I really like everything about the Maverick Sniper.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe price is definitely hefty,,,if the rifle is trouble free for the foreseeable future then I’ll only complain this one time. The rear pressure guage markings are very hard to get a good reading on. It would be nice if it used a digital rear guage, especially since it’s so tunable and precise readings would be ideal for reference.
What Others Should KnowMagazines work great,,,again hefty price tag and not really worth it,,,$15 cheaper would be a better price in my opinion.
Pyramydair Is excellent in all areas, I’ll be a lifetime customer. The rifle is throwing 47grain slugs at 825fps, 39gr@995fps, and 26.8gr@1120. Fps are exceptionally consistent across the chronograph. IE: 1fps variation or less. Really quiet except for the sonic crack of the lighter slugs
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing Great gun from a terrific retailer
What Others Should Know800mm barrel might make it even better. Fx is or was having some minor component production quality issues which they said are getting fixed. Fx also provided great support when I needed their help with an issue.
Fast shipping
Things I Would Have ChangedMore knowledgeable staff on hand that actually know how to fix a gun
Easy tuning and large plenum
Things I Would Have ChangedWith it had a .357 upgrades.
What Others Should KnowThis is one of my favorite guns to shoot. It's easy to tune and a bad in 700mm barrel. I suggest getting a carbon sleeve, tensioning kit, tuner and slug kit. With all that I just mentioned I'm getting 107 fpe, 977 on PW 6 shooting 50 grain jsb pellets. I can't wait to see the accuracy I'm going to get with those Zan slugs.
Ive had my .25 cal Maverick Sniper for a few months now and couldn't be happier with it. I chose FX for the quality and it being a compact 700 mm barrel. Out of the box accuracy is awesome. I have no disappointment in buying this. Lots of info on YouTube for general info and tuning. There tons of things you can do to this like caliber change, different barrel lengths, and some power upgrades for a few examples. Pyramyd Air is a great company to work with and is my go to, shipping was fast and so were the emails with tracking numbers. 10 outta 10
Things I Would Have ChangedKinda salty on the price, but so far no buyers remorse.
What Others Should KnowYou're buying a really good, quality air rifle so don't skimp on a scope. you don't have to spend 1000 + on a scope, but get the best quality you can swing. You won't be disappointed.
Get a tank to make refills easier because you'll be doing it a lot. It's a lot of fun.
Make sure your barrel length is what you need. Im not unhappy with the 700 mm barrel but the VP or compact would have done everything I wanted. Long barrel habits die hard I guess.
lightweight, sturdy synthetic stock, finish, huge 580cc carbon fiber bottle and plenum, 700mm smooth twist superior liner makes for very high accuracy.
Things I Would Have Changedto me it is designed perfect. i have no plans to change anything on this gunlar
What Others Should Knowthe large air plenum can cause a slight delay in rapid shooting. it takes about 2-3 seconds between shots to maintain consistent velocity other than that its extreme spread is a mere 2-4 fps after a whopping 90 shots with jsb .30 cal weighing 44.75 gr. that is outstanding with this gun. you will get the advertised 90 plus shots per fill using jsb 44.75 gr in .30 cal. flying at 880-900 fps
The gun looks and feels great! Craftsmanship is top notch.
Things I Would Have ChangedFor the cost of the maverick sniper .30cal, I shouldn't have to purchase an aftermarket tungsten hammer weight to achieve the 900 + fps required to shoot the 44.5 grain fx hybrid slugs. But what a difference it made . This rifle for the money should most definately have an anti feed mechanism on it. I have ha a double feed issue at least a half dozen times. When this happens you have to take the barrell off and carefully remove slugs. Double feeds are an operator error but it will happen I almost guarantee it.
What Others Should KnowI have my first reg set at 185 ton190 hard to tell with the gage and second reg set at 170. I am achieving 980 fps average with the 44.5 grain fx hybrid slugs producing approximately 95 foot pounds of energy. It hits HARD! But it took me quite a while and about 400 slugs to get her tuned up properly. Be patient and learn all the intricacies of this gun because when you finally get her tuned up you will be very impressed . I added the Dony FL moderator and can shoot this from my living room without hearing protection. Varmints be ware!! Dime sized groups at 50 yards and now that I have her tuned up I'll be going out to 100 and will attempt 200 yards after that. Don't shoot the lightweight steel resealable squirrel and rabbit targets with this monster it will dent them to a point that they are inoperable. Go with the heavy steel targets.
I was not happy with the product at all
Things I Would Have ChangedQA the product before you ship it out
I got this gun tuned to the JSB 50.15 pellets. It is extremely accurate and deadly.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowYou have to get to know this gun it has a lot of adjustments to work with, but well worth it.

I got lucky when I found a mint FX Maverick in .22 caliber from a friend. It is not finicky, was easy to tune, extremely accurate and very powerful.
Things I Would Have ChangedAt this point, nothing.
What Others Should KnowI tuned my Maverick in .22 caliber with JSB 25.39g Knockout slugs. 2000psi on rear reg and 2600 psi on front reg. 6 on hammer spring.gave me 944 fps and. 50.3 fpe I put on digital pressure gauges to maximize accuracy in tuning. I do suggest that anyone that buys this has a quality radar chronograph. I have FX Pocket Chronograph. Knowledgeable people that I trust told me that an FX was not for me. "Too many things can go wrong" and too many seals. That might be the case with the FX Impact, but not with the Maverick. I'm sure I could've gotten even 70 fpe, but I don't need that from this 22 caliber air gun. 50 is amazingly enough anyway, given that most 22 caliber PCP rifles or somewhere in the 30 fpe range. Anybody who buys any air gun, especially an FX, should definitely do the 10 for 10 that Pyramyd air offers as well as the 24 hour leak check.. Also remember that Pyramyd air offers 60 days satisfaction guarantee. I don't know that anyone else offers anything even close.
