6 of 6 Colt Python .357 Pellet/BB Revolver Dual Ammo Kit Reviews
Nice size looks like the real deal.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe Barrel is plastic not steel.
What Others Should KnowBought the kit and the holster came with it very good sturdy holster and the extra. Speed loaders is very good to keep you shooting longer. Good deal for the price.
Decent look and feel Integral tool for the CO2 screw - is part of the side grip. Decent accuracy for it's cost and a porch plinker The trigger is very nice, particularly for this price range. Surprisingly nice.
Things I Would Have ChangedCrossman Premier Pellets fall out of the pellet discs - so pre-loading is an iffy proposition - and care must be taken loading a new disc. Did I say Crossman pellets fall out of the pellet discs? I may need to try one of the wide skirt pellets to minimize this annoyance. Azimuth adjustment is via a very, very, tiny Philips screw that is not included, is not part of any normal kits I keep around. Mostly plasic - so a looker an not a real simul-pistol
What Others Should KnowBought for porch plinker.
Need more time with more pellet choices, target,
Overall very satisfied for the money.
GREAT KIT for THE PRICE ADVERTISIED FOR $39.00 GOT ON SALE WITH COUPON $29.00 CAN't BEAT THAT !!!
Things I Would Have ChangedFOR THE PRICE NOT A THING
What Others Should KnowTHE GUN IS A COMPOISIT MATERIAL CLIP IS METAL ,SHOOT WELL. AT 25 feet CAN EASILY GET ONE INCH GROUP..
Trigger pull is smooth. It's supposed to hold 10 rounds of both bb and pellet. Easy to install the magazine.
Things I Would Have ChangedPractically everything except the trigger, it is very smooth and yet tight enough that you know where it's at. Needs to be heavier. It's so light It almost comes out of my hand when pulling it up to aim. Price is too much for no more than the gun is worth. Co2 capsule installation. Safety position.( Almost need both hands to operate it)
What Others Should KnowI really wish I would have saved my money. If you're expecting close to a real feel, forget it. It's so lite it felt like I would loose it when drawing up to aim. I've tried 8 different types and brands of ammo, and have yet to find one that won't fall out of the magazine without using something to push it in deeper. Like the head seat is too deep and won't retain any tension on the head of a pellet. The bb mag. so far will only hold a Croman copperhead bb. Not that I keep to many different brands of bb, but the Daisy's don't fit either. Changing the co2 capsule is pretty clumsy also. There is a hex key built into the grip that is pretty fat when using it . Applying the safety is easy enough, but takes both hands to release it. All in all, I'm not impressed. In comparison to what else is out there, it's no where near what you can get for a whole lot less money. I can't say about the accuracy because after fumbling with the the ammo , the safety, co2 capsule, etc., I gave up.
Its
Things I Would Have ChangedIt holds CO2 for up to 72-96 hours. I use it for night time varmint hunting. So far its dispatched 2 possums and 3 rats. Its quite enough not wake the neighbor at 1 am in the morning. The 10 shots is wonderful. Made with quality and feels great in your hands. Easy to load. Great backyard air pistol.
What Others Should KnowNo sights allowed.

Surprisingly decent trigger for an inexpensive air gun. Both single and dual action. Surprisingly decent accuracy for the same reasons. This is a deck target shooter for me. Cylinder pin reloading not break open as similarly priced gun(s) are. This is my favorite dry fire trigger practice gun. Accuracy is also decent - center bulls on porch metal target
Things I Would Have ChangedHolster is cheesy and not really suitable for carry or draw practice. But it covers the trigger which is OK. Pellets must be pressed into the discs some otherwise they're prone to falling out. Could be heavier but is well balanced;
What Others Should KnowMy favorite for trigger practice - live and dry fire.
Left one at the Mountain House and want one for home (is Colt-2254040 [Colt Python .357 CO2 BB...] the replacement ? )
Far better quality and value than the similarly (if not higher) priced Crossman, which I purchased as I couldn't get a 2nd of this, and which broke (poor barrel retention design) within 20 dry fires or so.
