The SIG Sauer P229 Blowback CO2 Air Pistol is an excellent addition for any fan of SIG Sauer’s pistols. Bursting at the seam with functionality, this pellet gun is a great training tool for the concealed carrier or for plinking at the range. Propelling the .177 caliber pellet to speeds of up to 380 FPS is a single 12g CO2 cartridge, with a patented quick change system.
Because it is powered by CO2 with a reciprocating slide, it helps mimic the impulse of recoil during training sessions. The included 16-round magazine drops free from the mag well when its intuitive release is hit.
Work on affordable accuracy training with the rifled barrel and realistic SA/DA trigger. Upping realism, even more, is the functional safety/decocker and weight of 2.2 lbs with the magazine. The Picatinny rail allows the user to add a light, laser, or training tool, and the cut slide accepts a SIG AIR Reflex optic.

I REALLY LIKE THE GUN, BUT THE MAG RELEASE IS A BIT TOO TOUCHY. . ALSO, I WISH THE CO2 CARTRIDGE COULD BE REMOVED W/O LOSING THE REMAINING CO2. . IT'S SAID NOT TO LEAVE A CARTRIDGE IN THE GUN OR IT'LL DAMAGE THE SEAL, BUT, IF YOU DON'T USE THE CHARGE UP, YOU DON'T HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE BUT TO LEAVE IT SEALED OR UNSEAL IT AND LOSE THE REMAINING CHARGE! A CURRENT DILEMMA. . OTHERWISE, GREAT GUN!
All metal, accurate, Easy CO2 loading, trigger feel in SA is amazingly close to the real firearm. Typical Sig quality !! Nearly 80 powerful shots per CO2 cartridge!!
Things I Would Have ChangedMags would be better if metal, work fine as long as you are gentle when inserting pellets, suggest thumb and forefinger to pinch them in without pushing.
What Others Should KnowI also have SIG 1911 Spartan BB pistol, and Walter CP88, this is right up there with them as far as quality (all from Pyramyd). Happy Pyramid customer for over 10 years! Great products and customer service!
Time will tell-may be quality as good as my Walther CP88! Impressive accuracy, easy CO2 loading, 80 strong shots (5 mags) (which is what I get with the CP88 without blowback) you will want extra mags, Have handled the real gun-near impossible to tell difference cosmetically or weight! Blowback is NICE! Always happy with Pyramid customer service!

What Others Should KnowCareful loading the mags, they also fly out when ejected - catch them or they could be damaged.
I was disappointed that there were no instructions included with the item. Yes, the instructions are available on-line but I could tell from the packaging that originally instructions were included.
The removal of used CO2 cyl from handle is problematic requiring a tool to get it out.

Weight is just like the real thing... fells good in my hand... shoots with co2 and is accurate.

good weight for training ,recoil is somewhat realistic and it shoots well. The red dot installed easily and works great.
