Description

SIG Sauer breaks into the breakbarrel airgun market with the US made ASP20 Break Barrel Rifle, a suppressed single-shot, gas piston rifle ideal for backyard target shooting and taking down small game.

Available in .177 and .22 the ASP20 uses a gas piston powerplant that is specially calibrated to deliver its pellets downrange at optimal speeds for accuracy and energy.  The added benefit of this powerplant is the ability to shoot in colder weather without sacrificing power as you would with a spring-piston.  Each uses a Glidelite Cocking Mechanism to ensure that your cocking effort is a smooth and manageable 33 lbs.  In the .177 caliber, the ASP20 slings pellets at 1021 fps, and at 841 fps in .22 to dump 20 to 23 FPE into your targets.  This design is based on the notion that subsonic pellets will fire more accurately, a maxim that proves true time and time again among premium airguns.  Built for quiet backyard shooting, those powerful shots are all moderated by an integrated suppressor.

Moving to the action, the ASP20 features an adjustable 2-stage Matchlite® Trigger, designed for smooth and consistent trigger pulls to aid in accurate shot placement. A proprietary drill-pinned Breach Wedge Lock System also aids in improved accuracy by perfectly lining up the action with the barrel.  A long Weaver/Picatinny rail awaits your choice of optics, and all of these features are set into an ergonomic black synthetic stock with checkering on the grip and forend.

All of these options culminate in a superior gas-piston breakbarrel air rifle that lives up to SIG’s legacy of crafting airguns with innovative technology and quality construction that deliver hours of shooting fun.

Very well made. Excellent fit and finish. Seems very accurate and consistent - although I have only put 100 rounds through it.

I just haven't owned it long enough to comment.

High quality build. Very accurate. Adjustable trigger. High quality airgun scope.

The ballistic turret on the scope is a good concept but you must use the specific pellet it is designed for.

I purchased this rifle/scope combo directly from Sig Sauer since the larger airgun our lets were out of stock. Ive been shooting PCPs for years but I wanted a high quality break-barrel and had been reading good things about this new Sig ASP20. I must say all of the hype was pretty much true! I got the .22 as I want to hunt small game with it. I find the rifle very well made and accurate. With JSB Exact pellets and JSB Hades pellets, both 15.89 grains, I am routinely shooting 5-shot groups at 25 yards that are well under 1/2 inch. I even shot a 1 inch group at 50 yards! Thats unheard of with a springer! Im also very impressed and pleasantly surprised with the Whisky3 ASP scope. So often, airgun/scope combos include a very sub-standard scope. Not this combo! The Whisky3 is a very good airgun scope with positive and repeatable adjustments.

Smooth, reasonable cocking effort, trigger feel excellent, great accuracy, quiet, recoil similar to rim fire 22LR, high pellet impact energy judged from trap, Scope optics, brightness, features. Came with scope mounted and zeroed fairly close. Overall weight and fit perfect. Much nicer than the Benjamin NP Vaporizer in terms of power, noise, recoil, cocking effort and overall weight.

Nothing for me. Stock fit me perfectly. Overall the combo pleasantly exceeded my expectations.

Good value and well worth the investment.

Received my ASP 20 today. Awesome rifle and scope. It is everything and more that everyone said it would be. Probably shot about a hundred rounds through it and after getting is sight in, ( which didn't take much ) it just kept putting rounds through or touching the same hole at 25 yards. I can't compare it to my other .22 cal. It's in a class by it's self. I bought it direct from SIG. It got here fast. Thanks SIG. The one thing that no one on any of the reviews or videos talked about the the holes in the stock. I was hoping it was for quick disconnect sling mounts but nothing is mentioned anywhere about them. I was able to use the sling I use on my AR-15. It did look like they were mounting holes but I didn't know until I bought the rifle. Just another great feature. I don't think I will ever need another rifle. This is it. I didn't take any photos of my groups. If I knew I could post them here I would have. Sorry. You just have to trust me. Oh I used Crosman Premier Domed Ultra Magnum 14.3 gr. pellets. I also tried H&N field target trophy which were .3 gr different in weight and still shot a tight group. I'm glad I don't have to buy expensive pellets. Thanks SIG for a great break barrel. If you don't have the money to buy this rifle, save up for it. You will eventually end up with it anyway.

Wouldn't change anything

The holes in the stock are for quick disconnect sling mounts. Awesome

A sincere thank you for clearing-up the possibility of mounting a sling to the rifle! As I'm a disabled vet.(US ARMY), this answers a lot of queries I've had @ sling-mounting possibilities! Sincerely Yours, D.L.Rohde ..!!

Although I've only had this pellet rifle a little over a month I find it very accrete with the 4 different pellets that i have tried.Once broken in I expect the groups to tighten up even more. The Whiskey scope is fine quality and gives a good sight picture. Do you at Pyramyd Air sell scope caps ????? I would think they would come with rifle/scope combo..

Needs scope caps to come with combo... Also a automatic safety would be nice but once using this set up one becomes SORT of used to clicking on the safety after loading a pellet.

Needs scope covers !!

Thank you for including the info about missing scope caps and if they don't include them shame on them. I am going to look into this as i was thinking about getting this combo, but now am thinking if i can buy screw in proper sun shield for the scope [not honeycomb] as it is supposed to be a hunting rifle i expect a hunting scope.

The build quality of this rifle is excellent and I can't find a thing that I would change; the power and accuracy are supreme. It proves out the old axiom......you pay for what you get. The groups are tight and consistent. The .177 hits with authority............I really like it.

The Whiskey3 scope.......although the glass was good it arrived without lens caps and it had enough finger smudge and specks on the inside of the lens that I mounted it on a lesser quality rifle. I then mounted a different scope on the ASP20. I am surprised and saddened that Sig Sauer let this scope get out of their plant, I have owned several of the firearms and thought their quality control was first class, until now.

I should have ordered the 10 for 10 with this rifle but forgot to do so. If I had PA would have caught the scope issues. Oh well, live and learn.

High quality and the price reflects it. Attention to detail and workmanship very good. Cocking effort is smooth and manageable. Trigger is adjustable and has a precision feel no issues with the trigger shape which boils down to personal preferences anyway. Feels balanced and comes to rest naturally. Shoots as good as the person using it. The Whiskey scope has good optics and is easy to use. Made in the USA which to me is reason enough to own one plus it goes well with my collection on Sig handguns.

Weight is the biggest issue as it weights much more than my old foriegn made air rifles. These thing is built like a tank with proper maintenance it should last a life time.

You get what you pay for.

Easy to cock, very accurate, great scope, good power! I am 67 years old and dont have the strength I used to have but I can easily cock the gun. The gun is heavy but it makes it steady to shoot. I can keep the shots in about an inch circle at 30 yds. I have it sighted in at 30 yds and it is about 3/4 inch high at 12 yds and 1/4 inch high at 20 yds. I am using Diablo Field Heavy 18g pellets. The pellets easily go through 3/4 inch pine boards and into a tree. I also love the scope, it has parallax adjustment to focus the scope for the distance you are shooting at. The scope is very bright. The quality of the gun and scope is incredibly good, a beautiful combination.

Add a sling, make a Safety easier to see if its on safe.

This gun is quite heavy. I haven't taken it in the woods but I think I will put a sling on it. But, it should be accurate enough to hit a squirrel at 30 yds. And powerful enough to kill it quickly. The scope comes mounted to the gun and only needed elevation adjustment. The gun came in a cardboard box in cut out foam and then that box was in another cardboard box with packing material.

Accurate! BEST 5 shot groups at 25 yard, .115 and .210. Diabolo Jumbo. It feels like I'm sitting behind my SIG3000 .308., without the BANG and KICK.
