I lost the original adapter that came with my rack. I ordered this one and I am really pleased with it. It attaches to the rack connector to the car hitch and stays secure with a screw. No more loosing the adapter.
We did not need it as it turned out as the adapter we had fit the new vehicle!
Upon installation of this adapter it was loose in the hitch allowing it to wobble to and fro. Not better than the old one I was replacing. I had to get it modified which I’m still waiting to get it back to try it.
The adapter works great for any "Toy" that has a 1 1/4 inch post to start.
Very happy with this. Good fit. Highly recommend to anyone needing the adaptor. Price is right.
We have had our Saris bicycle rack for 9 years and love it. We purchased the adapter as we visit our daughter and sometimes use their Saris rack (they have a 1 1/4" receiver hitch) We attached the adapter and drew it up tight for our hitch. The adapter bolts up solid in the 2" receiver hitch and keeps the rack and bikes from any movement. These are well made racks and components made in USA.
Big thanks to Saris' technical support representative for helping me acquire the part necessary to remount my older Saris car hitch bike rack. I had misplaced the original and essential connection bolt.
I bought this hitch adapter, its exactly what I needed for my bike rack. I was ready to wait for 3 weeks for the delivery, when I was happily surprise to received my package in 4 days.
I called Saris customer service and they told me I need to replace the plastic hitch Adapter on my service freedom 2 bike rack With an aluminum one! Now my bike rack is rated for 60 pounds for each bike or before it only rated for 30 pounds.
