Description
The muzzlebrake gives you extra leverage when cocking the gun. Because of the power, most shooters will put a scope on such a gun, so Ruger included one with this package. Not much to do but load it, aim and start shooting. Sometimes, it's the simple things in life that give us the greatest pleasure. And spring-piston guns are about as easy to use as you can get when it comes to airguns.

10 of 17 Ruger Blackhawk Elite Air Rifle Reviews
So far everything only shot it maybe 40-50 times
Things I Would Have ChangedN/a
What Others Should KnowGreat gunfir the money ! Very accurate I put the scope on tighten everything down shot 3 shots less than 1/4 " group at 25 yards never touched the scope
Very realistic looking, extremely powerful, and low price for the good quality.
Things I Would Have ChangedNone, just too awesome to change!
What Others Should KnowIt has a pretty good amount of recoil, so it isn't recommended for first-time shooters of air gins. Also, it is extremely powerful! So, please be careful when shooting this airgun.
had a heck of a time getting zeroed in due to wrong pellet selection after much trial and error my rifle shoots best with Kodiak match extra heavy 10.65 grain
Things I Would Have ChangedGet a better scope
What Others Should KnowRifle doesn't like pellets under 10 grains and Thanks to all who post it has helped me a bunch for the money don't no how you could do better
Looks , price , performance
Things I Would Have Changedtrigger , scope and rings .
What Others Should KnowI helped a friend set it up not my gun . This air gun had so much oil in it . It was dieseling for 5 shots , sounded like a 22 lr going off . For another 20 shots smoke was coming out of it . After that it settled down . The trigger was around 8lbs . We adjusted it down to 4 lbs . After the first stage the trigger would creep 1/2 in. before it went off . We were shooting at 50yrds . bench rest and grouped 3" to 4" in . Better pellets might shrink the group size . I think it needs to be broken in and dry patches run through to get the oil out of the barrel . Not too bad for the money .
I like the Power of it, the accuracy of the scope and the weight balance, the style and look of it.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe lack of power in-between shots. And for it to make less noise.
What Others Should KnowThat's all!
Great for target shooting, or for spoofing rodents off your land. With the scope you have 100% accuracy.
Things I Would Have ChangedThis is a very heavy Air Rifle, I wouldn't recommend it to someone that has disabilities with lifting.
What Others Should KnowIt's alot of fun!
This is the first "break barrel" rifle I have owned, bought it a couple weeks ago to shoot some starlings that pester our other birds and feeders at our farm house and for some target shooting from our huge deck. I like the weight and feel of this rifle along with the power to reach out beyond 20 yards. The scope hasn't moved on me at all, despite what other reviews say. Once sighted in we can hit a 3 by 3 inch target at 30 yards and more.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe scope could be a bit better but works great for backyard shooting. For the price of this rifle, ($99) I think it's a great buy. A lot of fun for me and the wife to target shoot with
What Others Should KnowTake the time to sight in the scope, took me about 30 shots.
Just as good as one of the $200/$250 rifles
I love the grip , once I got use to it going back to a standard stalk was uncomfortable . Accuracy, I have dropped about 12 jack rabbits in the last two weeks at about 60-65 even 70 yards 4four of which were head shots and they seem to pass straight through using big fives hollow point 7.9 grain ,deadly accurate .
Things I Would Have ChangedScope has to be readjusted once a week . Pain in the rear .
What Others Should KnowI would put the safety in front of trigger , I loose precious time with it being under barrel.
Accuracy. Power and penetration.
Things I Would Have ChangedMore weight in the rear of the gun for better balance. Lighter trigger pull. Front of the scope needs to tighten better as it comes lose.
What Others Should KnowI would recommend the daisy flat head rounds as a great ammo for power and accuracy. Using the flat head round it will go threw a tin soup can both sides at 20 yds. or one side at 50 yds.
The 50 yds. shot had to raise about 2" up and 6" to the side for 10-15 mph wind and bullet drop. The target was a small tomato sauce can about 2-3" in size.
I would recommend oiling it every so many 100 rounds to keep the piston and seals good and never leaving it cocked for pro longed periods of time as it is hard on the spring.
I would avoid using the daisy penetrating rounds due to inaccuracy of about 6" or better diameter for spread at 20 yards.
The main reason I use the daisy rounds is the cost but mainly the availability in local stores.

Things I Would Have ChangedThis air rifle is a piece of Chinese junk. At first impression, it seemed well made, and easy to cock. The accuracy was marginal at best, even with the included Chinese-made optics. However, after just over 1000 shots, the mainspring broke, and the cheap die-cast pot metal trigger group broke apart. I believe that Ruger should be embarrassed to have their name on it! Perhaps if it were made in the USA it would be a better product, but I would strongly advise anyone who will be shooting more that at a bare minimum, avoid this air rifle.
