Description
The Norica Dragon Air Rifle is a breakbarrel airgun with a history of sustained success due to its emphasis on reliability and performance for a reasonable price. It can reach velocities of up to 1000 FPS in .177, 820 FPS in .22, and 600 in .22 for the power needed to deliver dependable and efficient small-game hunting, pest control, and target shooting.
This air rifle shows Norica's dedication to utilizing quality materials in the manufacturing process because it features both a solid steel breech and a German steel mainspring, in contrast to air rifles from other brands that use lesser materials that may fail over time. The fact that it uses a spring-piston powerplant means that it can continue to shoot without switching CO2 cartridges or needing a compressor to add air.
The Norica Dragon Air Rifle has a textured grip and a textured forearm on its light and comfortable synthetic stock, which helps shooters avoid losing their hold due to moisture. In addition, it uses an automatic safety and a ventilated rubber buttpad to help absorb the forces generated by a shot more than a plastic buttpad would.
In order to produce accurate shots without requiring additional accessories, this air rifle comes with a steel hooded fiber optic front sight and a fiber optic rear sight that can be adjusted for both windage and elevation.
To get a budget-friendly airgun for effective pest control, target shooting, and small-game hunting, buy a Norica Dragon Air Rifle today at Pyramyd Air.

6 of 6 Norica Dragon Reviews
my first one was shooting great when it broke after about 300 shots. pyramyd was great about replacing the gun in less than 2 weeks. have over 1000 shots on the new gun and it is working fine.
Things I Would Have Changedi would love a wood stock option , this gun is worth it
What Others Should Knowpyramyd service is the best
Liked about everything on this rifle. The fit and finish is good for a budget rifle. Liked look of the rifle. Was very accurate with several pellets. Light weight. Long barrel too.
What Others Should KnowThis is a follow-up to my prior post . This rifle has a lot to admire but sadly had to be returned. A few hundred shots(2 or 3 ) on it and the barrel locked up halfway through cocking stroke. Could only pull about halfway down. Suspect misaligned spring guides. Pyramyd was really good to refund my purchase in full.
Will certainly continue to be a customer. This may be a one off problem. Hope so, as this rifle really has a lot going for it!
Very good value. With tight fitting pellet accuracy is excellent. JSB 15.89 Exacts produced sub dime sized groups at 12yd using artillery hold. Metal finish very nice.Sights are fine enough to shoot small groups. No scope going on this rifle. Fairly light also.Buzzing seems minor but tune in a tube on the way. Not a big deal really. This is really a nice springer!
Things I Would Have ChangedThe only reason for the 4 star overall rating is the TRIGGER. Very heavy. (But was able to shoot very small groups) Just unpleasant. This model does not come with adjustable one.
What Others Should KnowFor the money, I think this is one of the best buys
for a springer. Just make sure to use a tight fitting pellet and enjoy! Being new to Spanish workmanship,
I was impressed.
Fit and finish were very good save for some joint flashing irregularities that I will likely remove with a very sharp picket knife. For "glowy thing" sights, they work very well and the delicate front bead on a dainty post was protected by a steel tunnel. Trigger pull was quite good for a rifle in this price point. The rifle has an unusual feature of two rubber buttons on the forestock and they are great locators for the open hand.
Things I Would Have ChangedI will likely change out the blade rear sight for a Williams Peep. I do note that Williams Gun Sight Company seems to have reduced the air gun sight offerings.
What Others Should KnowSome spring "crunchiness" was present on cocking cycle but dropping some RWS Spring Chamber oil seems to be working itself into the chamber and minimizing the rub.
The barrel needed and got a good cleaning and polishing with J&B Bore Paste and two-dozen strokes with a bronze bore brush. That was followed by felt pellets pushed through the bore with Birchwood Casey Sheath/Barrier Oil. Until clean and then a few dry felt pellets until dry.
The rifle seems to be coming into its own now. I applied a few drops of RWS/Diana Air Chamber Lube to help burn off the machining oils and that is now burned off. The erractic nature of a rifle so prepped is ending - which is a usual phenomenon. As it does so, the accuracy improves as the shot cycle stabilizes.
Very solid well built air rifle kept simple with outstanding workman ship. I like the fact it was not manufactured in china.
Things I Would Have ChangedAdd a muzzle brake or moderator .
What Others Should KnowSimple and well built air gun for the money.

Very good accuracy potential (Spanish barrels are excellent in my experience). My example shoots JSB Hades VERY well out to twenty yards or so with open sights. Remarkably smooth, gas-ram-esque firing cycle straight from the box. Smooth, consistent, & predictable TRUE two-stage trigger. Decent balance, good stock fit & ergonomics. Relatively easy, if unrefined, cocking effort. I applaud Norica's inclusion of a scope stop & excellent fiber optic sights; they are very fine & well-protected, but plenty bright enough for most lighting conditions. Norica likely has the very best fiber optic sights on the market currently.
Things I Would Have ChangedNorica badly needs better quality control & more appropriate packaging to prevent shipping damage. My gun arrived with a badly canted front sight unit that still isn't perfectly straight even after re-working. The metal finish is relatively good, but wears easily. There are many sharp edges, such as the breechblock & in the cocking slot area. The trigger feel is feelnice but non-adjustable. Even after polishing & a bunch of shooting, the second stage has a hard, stiff break of around four pounds. Norica should put the NATS adjustable system in all its guns... Cocking was very "sproingy" and gritty at first. Even after cleaning & a lube job you can feel the rough, cheap action of fighting an unrefined spring into compression. Very soft latching on cocking too.. Guns without the NATS, such as this one, cannot be de-cocked without modifications. The safety is automatic, but crude; it cannot be put back "on safe" once disengaged without re-cocking the barrel - a bad choice in my opinion.
What Others Should KnowNorica's one year warranty is lackluster & service from PA/Air Venturi uneven. My gun wasn't up to spec, shooting well below 600 fps with 14-16 grain pellets. Norica (and also Cometa)e oce had problems with premature spring wear/fatigue resulting in poor performance. If my example is typical, Norica still does. I had a long conversation with AV service, & they really didn't seem to want to accept that the gun was detective in some way. They also claimed up to a 10% variance in velocity from published numbers was industry standard & "acceptable." So, caveat emptor folks..They also want YOU, the buyer, to pay return shipping for warranty claims, which I find rather objectionable. I was at the very end of my warranty when I contacted them, but things could certainly have gone better. The breech can be a tight fit for many pellets (especially tipped or pointed ones) & Norica unfortunately doesn't use screws with lock washers. My advice, buy a NATS gun w/gas ram or Hatsan 95 instead...
