One of my favorite rifles. Its accurate, quiet, and I love the Quattro trigger.
Things I Would Have ChangedWish everyone could try one of these.
What Others Should KnowShoots most every pellet well. With JSB 18 grain the best. Wish I could give the accuracy more stars.
Still breaking in the gun, but is working well so far. Good power, accuracy for short range (5-20 yards) I am doing. I'm using .22 crosman premier hollow point. This is my first air gun since I was a kid (BB gun), so some things like artillery hold and scope usage are new to me. Primary usage is pest control... mostly squirrel, some chipmunks. The zone in my yard where I get clear shots is 5-15 yards and I have been doing indoor target shooting at 10 yards. First day I couldn't hit anything (hadn't zeroed scope for my range). After zeroing, I have not missed a shot fired at outdoor pests. Free shooting I can get quarter size groups at 10 yds, which has been plenty accurate for head shots. Using a rest the rifle can shoot tighter...it's more accurate than my current technique but I am improving. Scope does not have an AO ring and out of the box is blurry even a 10 yards. Solution is to remove the objective locking ring and turn the inner objective ring until focused and then replace the locking ring -- so it is adjustable, just not convenient to adjust. I had no problem adjusting it down to 5 yards with sharp focus throughout the zoom range. Open sights look nice, but at my age, my eyes are not good enough to use them, so the scope is welcome. Have not yet tried playing with adjustable trigger, factory settings are fine so far. Gun is quiet -- I've got close neighbors so this was a selling point, and at .22 caliber, rounds will not go supersonic.
Things I Would Have Changedfrom everything i've read, bipod is useless... it's cheap looking too. Gun also comes with strap which is reasonably nice, though the gun doesn't really balance well from the shoulder with it. Gun is a little heavier than I would like overall, make's it harder to keep a steady left hand under the stock, but I am also new to shooting this type of gun. The safety is nice, release with a a little pull from the shooting thumb, but a mounted scope gets in the way a little bit --you have to come in from the side to release it.
What Others Should KnowCamo pattern is nice looking, I like it better than plain black, but would have considered the wood stock if it was available. Not sure it's worth the $$ over black, but depends what you like. This gun is also available in Vortex (air piston) for extra $, but this is relatively new so I went with time-proven spring piston. Scope comes with clear/yellow shoot-through covers. Cocking effort is not too bad -- a quick tap breaks the muzzle, then you can swing it down with a firm pull.
Overall very happy with this gun. I started out just wanting something to get rid of squirrels, but now have discovered that target shooting is fun on it's own.
This impressive 22 cal is powerful, accurate, and quiet. A 3-9x50mil dot ret scope & one piece mount were used. JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo (15.89gr) pellets were used for testing. It will punch thru a 1" thick pine board @ 10 yds, a 3/8" pine @ 50 yds, & a steel coffee can lid at 40 yds. It can easily shoot thru soda cans at 50 yds. It shot a 2 1/2" group @ 50 yds and a 5/8" group at 40 yds. The trigger is good, the open sights are excellent and the noise level is low.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe sling attachment clips are poor. On one occasion the snap at the butt end came loose. Luckily my hand was around the gun and it didn't fall. The gun is a little heavy because of the big scope, so a sling is very handy.
What Others Should KnowThe gun was tested on a bench. The rest consisted of a 6x6 block of wood 12" long with a length of foam pipe insulation (2 5/8"OD & 15/16"ID X 12"long)placed on top of it (held in place with some twine). The front stock rested directly on the foam and the rifle was lightly gripped. Rifle accuracy should improve when the trigger is adjusted for better "feel" and the barrel is further seasoned. The stock attachment screw loosened and the scope rotated a few degrees. The rear protective scope lens cap fell off frequently because of the recoil. (PA Service test measured pellet speed (RWS 11.9gr) @ average 870fps)

Mossy Oak Camo, it is quiet, compact, German steel, gun sling, accuracy, general feel, TRU GLO, Quattro Trigger. Have slain hundreds of pest birds with this thing on my homestead. I have birds eating & getting into animal feed, so this has been super effective. If I'm far enough, they don't hear the air gun at all, and can just drop them one by one. Have just been using open sights since I can get pretty close & the Tru Glo system is top notch. The contrast of the red against the green is, so bright, and it's super easy to sight in for accuracy. I've been getting head shots (15 yards max) no problem. They just plop over from a headshot. It is a powerful air rifle though, I've miscalculated windage one day, and hit a couple birds nowhere near their heads & the force was powerful enough to make them kill shots. I'm very pleased with this air rifle. I can go out in my camo gear & sneak up on varmints no problem & wreck them since it's so quiet.
Things I Would Have ChangedBetter scope, or A.P. for close range shooting
What Others Should KnowIt's a compact gun, I'm 6' & it's not an issue for me, but could see it be a problem for others. My gun came with a lot of extra oil. You may need to wipe it down. The .25 cal is semi-backyard friendly depending on how big your yard is. If I didn't have a cement block wall, I would be very cautious about using it, because depending on the ammo you can get some serious penetration. I've been using 5 gal buckets filled with dirt as a target trap & have had the predator polymags go right through it & hit my block wall from 20 ft. The JBS Diablo Match doesn't go through, so something to keep in mind.
