H&N Excite Coppa-Spitzkugel, .22 Cal, 16.05 Grains, Pointed, 200ct

The copper coating on these pellets make them harder for better penetration for under powered guns. I gave them a hammer test compared to lead pellets. It takes 2 similar hits with hammer to have the same expansion / squashed level as a lead pellet. On a 640 fps gun, the Jet 1, A lead pellet plants itself in a very hard 3/4 t&g plywood used for flooring. With the copper Excite Spikes it goes through it like butter. This is something only my raccoon gun Flash pup can do with lead pellets. Does it mean my Jet 1 can do raccoons now? I don't know, but squirrels love these copper spikes, they just love them and only one shot needed placed anywhere.

They do need some breaking in on guns. They load hard at first then fine after a few mags.

These copper Excite Spikes will make your under powered gun punch above its weight.

More consistency in pellet weight and weight distribution.

These don't work well in the Marauder Field and Target. FPS was average of 795, min of 789, max of 802 on chronograph. This was on a 10 shot string. The issue is that they spiral when shot over 25y, you would think with the ballistic coefficient that they have they would be great at long range. They are not, at least on my gun. Short range 22-23ft/lbs with great penetration but not a lot of expansion.

This is my go-to pellet for my .22 P-Rod. Exceptional accuracy and potent enough to drop a crow from the tree-tops.

Pellets fit loosely in the chamber and can easily fall out when closing the barrel.

Read my blog about the hornet pellets. The modifications I did to my rifle is listed in with the hornet pellets. These pellets also weigh 16.0 GMs and shoot to the same point of impact as the hornets do. Much cheaper. Shoot very accurate at 40 yards. Occasional flyers but I look at the pellets before I shoot them and very few have dented skirts causing the fliers. Other than that these are great pellets and shoot well in my rifle. Every rifle is different so find the ammo that works best for your rifle.
