Description
The Diana 34 EMS Breakbarrel Air Rifle with beech stock gives shooters a one-of-a-kind modular air rifle system with various swappable options resulting in different setups. This is all thanks to Diana's latest innovation, the Easy Modular System (EMS). With maximum velocities of up to 1050 FPS in .177 and 950 FPS in .22, this air rifle is great for small-game hunting and plinking.
The most prominent modularity on the 34 EMS is the ability to change barrels. A unique locking system provides a firm attachment to the block, which is important for accuracy. Diana achieved this without compromising the slim profile of the rifle, a feature which compares favorably to airguns costing far more.
Further adjustments can be made to the fiber-optic front sight and the micrometer adjustable rear sight, which can both be switched for other versions. Also, a milled 11mm dovetail optics rail is on the barrel for additional sighting options.
Shooters can also switch the spring-piston power plant for an available N-TEC gas piston, which offers benefits such as the possibility of leaving the air rifle cocked longer, less noise when cocking and shooting, and the absence of spring fatigue. The air rifle also features smoother and easier cocking due to an improved two-piece cocking lever with polymer guides.
To get an attractive and durable air rifle that adjusts caliber and more through modular design, look no further than the Diana 34 EMS Breakbarrel Air Rifle with beech stock at Pyramyd AIR.

10 of 11 Diana 34 EMS Break Barrel Air Rifle, Wood Reviews
Everything so far the trigger is super smooth, cocking effort is super easy and smooth, the metal finish is fabulous, the iron sights are great,
Things I Would Have ChangedNot sure maybe change the stock screws to Philips head
What Others Should Knowits a high end german air rifle just buy it you will love it
Love the gun! Smooth to cock plenty of power and very accurate!
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowMine loves JSB jumbo Heavy 18 grain. It shoots MOA at 50 yards.
Excellent build quality. Very accurate, easy cocking. Best machining I have seen in Diana guns-not perfect, but very good. These guns show that Diana has learned some lessons over the years and applied them to this design. Easily the best 34 series rifles I have seen. They cost more than the older versions for a good reason.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe Dianawerk needs to change the mainspring/guide in this rifle. The mainspring needs to fit the spring guide tightly to eliminate vibration. I don't care for the open sights-they are inferior to older versions of the 34.
What Others Should KnowThese guns are partially lubricated at the factory. The piston seal is lubed with oil. The mainspring/guide does not appear to be lubricated. The cocking joints are oiled or greased. The rifle will likely diesel for the first number of shots. I suggest the rifle be broken in with 10 grain+ pellets to help reduce dieseling. This rifle is my new go-to for pesting or small game hunting because of the excellent build quality and accuracy. Quite pleased.
Everything! Great rifle!
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing!
The wood stock is a beauty to behold. It comes with a nice finish, better than seen on most rifles, and the wood grain exposed is superior. The rifle is much more impressive in hand than any photo I have seen. The overall quality is pretty high.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe T-06 trigger is brilliantly designed, but this variation can be problematic. You still have to fully compress the 2nd stage and just before you reach the apex there is a sweet spot. Finding that sweet spot is quite an endeavor, and in my experience, more problematic in attempt than worth the award. After owning it for over six months and using it daily, I still am firing off rounds unintentionally, before I am ready. It can get frustrating. Still haven't found a way to prevent this. Power is something this rifle needs, and the biggest disappointment I have. My velocity is 564 fps with 18grain pellets and substantially lower than needed.
What Others Should KnowIf purchased, the factory set trigger weight is dangerously low, and will shoot unexpectedly on touch if not careful.
Nice wooden stock ... nice wooden stock, that is about it.
Things I Would Have ChangedQuality needs improvement. Blued finish thin. Sights feel cheap, plastic, and glow sight inserts messy looking. Rear sight is horrible ... no positive clicks in wind-age or elevation. Screws work out loose after a few shots. Packaging needs to be improved to protect from poor shipment. Feels like they cut corners for cost savings.
What Others Should KnowAt this price point, the little details should matter. This particular revision to EMS is begging the aftermarket to step in and upgrade the rifle to what it should have been.
It is way better looking in real life than in the photos, very impressive. The Diana logo printed on top of the action is beautifully done. The T06 trigger is a significant improvement over others I have tried. I was able to produce a very tight grouping at a little less than fifty yards once within the first few days of ownership.
Things I Would Have ChangedQuality, quality, quality... ---------------------------- * Within a week of use the mounting bolts and barrel to action attaching bolt backed themselves out of their position, in fact all bolts were loose within the first week. * Also occurring within the first week, the barrel acquired a ding/blemish. This is an epic fail in its own right, and never should happen in the first week of use. * The reported velocity of this rifle is well above what the actual velocity is. It might reach those speeds if using very light pellets, but using a 21.14 grain pellet it was calculated to be around 662fps, and a 14 grain pellet was in the lower 700's fps. * The energy output and velocity of the rifle fell in consistency with use and began to vary from shot to shot using the exact same ammo. This made the rifle nearly impossible to zero out at long distances over 50yds. Admittedly, this does not seem to be a rational possibility, but it was experienced and was very disappointing.
What Others Should Know* Before discharging the rifle, acquire a long-necked small flat-head screwdriver with a blade less than 1/8 inch wide, and adjust the trigger.
* The dovetail to picatinny rail adapter that I purchased was designed to fit Diana rifles, yet does not match up with this rifle correctly. The bolt that acts as the mount stop is much too small for the hole provided for it in the rifle, and neither of the two provide a means to prevent the bolt from passing into the action disabling the ability to charge the rifle.
* After loading a bullet into the chamber and snapping the barrel back into firing position, the pellet has a tendency to fall out and will result in a dry fire. Dry firing presents the possibility of damaging the piston seal of the rifle.
* The gas piston upgrade can only be performed by a Diana certified technician, and will not be available to consumers. So, that is not really an option.
received the gun , quality is nice, been putting through the paces added a tesco scope and the the accuracy so far is good . haven't yet tried at further distances but c onfident it will be just as good . ps the sites provided with the rifle are good also . i like the idea this rifle gives you options down the road if i want to change to a different caliber 22 and change to a gas piston not that it is required but nice to know you can do it . i am happy about the purchase . this is my first air rifle and i think i did well purchasing it . usually when you get into something for the first time most people myself included usually your purchase you wish you chose something else not so with this gun .out the gate this gun i am satisfied .
Things I Would Have Changedthe gun came in a nice box. the instructions on how to use the gun was ok . it would have been nice if they gave more information on maintenance and exactly what to use and other information to keep the rifle top performance . to be fair though that information is available on line from many sources even from pyramid air
What Others Should Knowit is a great break barrel spring piston rifle that is in a price range that is good for the quality build it offers and the options to the buyer . it would be a purchase that wont disappoint you. the remarks from a local gun store that i go to said you purchased a exceptional nice gun
I have two of these, one, the .177 has the T05 and the second a T06, in .22 which I purchased from Pyramid air, I can't say enough good things about these air rifles, If you sight at the base of a squirrles ear at 25 yards that is exactly were the pellet hits. The T06 is better than the triggers on most of my High powered rifles. Ammo is not expensive, and usually not hard to get. As a small game rifle they can't be beat.
Things I Would Have ChangedOn the latest model I put a sling swivel on the barrel, close to the stock so i won't close the barrel with my hand there. the wood stock has a sharp corner and will take the skin off to the knuckle, you can guess how I know that.
What Others Should Knowit has the look and feel of an adult size firearm and the weight, don't expect a light weight gun when getting the wood stock, I don't own a synthetic model so I can't speak to those stocks.
