There's an error in the owner's manual. It says you must first put the gun on safe and then pull the hammer to half-cock to load the gun. That is incorrect. Once the safety is applied, the hammer does not move. So, don't put the safety on to load the gun.

You'll marvel at the realism of your Single Action Army revolver. Besides the incredible attention to detail on the gun, the box is also a nice surprise. It has a vintage look.
Unlike most other CO2 revolvers produced today, the Colt Peacemaker loads a bit differently. Like the firearm, the cylinder does not swing out. Therefore, each shell is loaded separately through a loading gate on the right side of the cylinder. To make the cylinder turn, you have to pull the hammer back to half-cocked. Then, rotate the cylinder to either load a full shell or remove an empty one (by pushing on the ejector rod). Since the shells are loaded singly, speedloaders cannot be used.
To load the shells, put one steel BB in the bottom of each. This is the opposite end of the shell than most other revolvers. Truly, a unique six-shooter!

A lot of fun to shoot, especially to someone old enough to have been raised on cowboy movies & TV shows. This revolver has good heft - like the real thing. Brings back that old feeling from my youth. It operates smoothly & is pretty accurate, considering I've been shooting BB;s through it.
What Others Should KnowCartridges don't need to be removed from the cylinder to reload. BB's & pellets can be pressed directly into the cartridges while still in the cylinder - saves some messing around.
Very nice weight and balance. Very accurate for a pistol. Authentic action and loading. Great fun to shoot.
What Others Should KnowThe only thing you won't like about this revolver is that it is so pretty you will have to wipe your fingerprints off it every time you put it away.
I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He loves it! He had a toy gun like this when he was a little boy, so he really loved getting this as a gift. We've been outside trying it out for the past couple days. It's tons of fun! It is realistic and heavy like the real thing.

Fit and finish are excellent, the heft and weight are right there with its center-fire cousins, and I found the trigger pull was light and crisp. Pretty much puts your shots where you point it, with good accuracy shooting off-hand from 10-15 feet. Very well built, and great fun to shoot!
