Our Zy-Ex Ti-Lites mimic the look of their more expensive counterparts almost exactly but instead of 7075 Aluminum, we use 43% glass filled Zy-Ex for the handles, and Japanese AUS 8A instead of American XHP for the blades. The resulting knives are extraordinarily lightweight, while remaining remarkably strong, sharp and good looking - at a price almost everyone can afford!

In my view, the Ti-Lite 6-inch with any type of handle, aluminum or zytel, is the best self defense k knife I know of. Why? Because it can be used with the blade in or out. In a situation where lethal force is not called for, the Ti-Lite can provide needed support for one's fist in the same way a roll of dimes can. The wave support at the base of the blade can rip or tear flesh, or the blade can be deployed to discourage or end a fight quickly or against multiple assailants. The knife also rides easy in the pocket and can easily cut open packages. It wouldn't be my first choice for yard work, but it can be used as a machete for removing troublesome Creeping Johnnies and other vines.
This was my introduction into pocket swords. The stiletto blade a curvey handle brought my in and captured my imagination. I carry it very often and love using it as a chore knife.
Just buy it. Light weight and very tough. Cold Steel sharp and ready to go out of the box. I have an old Gerber lightweight folder with a composite handle that has served me well and I see this as it's replacement AND THEN SOME.
Undoubtedly, the blade itself and its materials are impeccable. However I noticed that, when wet, it also gets slippery Its sharp as hell, which is exactly what I wanted, but really, in some instances I'm afraid to lose my fingers because it has no guard Is anyone else having that issue?
Like most men I don't know how big 6" really is but this is a massive boi and it sharp af. Build is solid, and looks very nice. I'd reccomend this and the Luzon (my last knife). This is heavier in the center as a heads up so for balance I'd hold it at the upper part of the handle just below the mechanism that locks the blade in/out

I carry this every day. I think you have to appreciate it for what it is. This is a fighting knife, plain and simple. It's not going to be the greatest work knife, but that's not what is intended for. I love it as a backup for self defense.
