SPARTAN (AUS10A)
Designed by celebrated custom knife maker Andrew Demko, our Spartan is one of our most popular folding knives. The Spartans super-sharp blade is made from Japanese AUS10A Steel, and was designed to echo the aesthetics and cutting performance of the world famous Kukri. Its distinctive Kopis-inspired handle is precision injection molded out of Griv-Ex with heat treated steel liners, and this, in addition to our famous Tri-Ad lock, makes for a knife that is incredibly safe and secure. The Spartan also features the patented Demko thumb plate, which can be used to open the knife like a conventional "one handed opener" or be snagged on the edge of a pocket during the draw stroke and opened at lightning speed!

Sharpest knife out of box I’ve ever bought. This knife is way better than I thought it would be. It’s also a lot bigger than it looked in the pictures.
This is awesome! It has some weight to it; not too much but just the right amount. The edge was super clean and super sharp (expected expectation fulfilled as usual by Cold Steel). I have shown this knife to guys at work they were impressed with it just as much as I am. This knife, to me, is in that sweet spot between a small folder and a medium to large fixed blade. Tri-Ad lock is solid. If they made one in S35VN or CPM3V, I would have no problem paying extra for another one if these.
I am blown away at this beast of a like it has a great balance and is built to last came nice and sharp,it's a beautiful blade I highly recommend it like all my cold steel knives.
I've had this Spartan close to 20years. It's been flawless it has some miles on it. Lock still works like day one. The clip on the blade to open while pulling out of your pocked it really a great idea.

Recently purchased this knife and I'm extremely happy that I did. Right out of the box this is easily the sharpest Cold Steel blade I've experienced, I love it and it's my new EDC!
I have had my Spartan for over 15 years, and it is what I take hiking every other day on Florida Trail. We have Florida Panthers (mountain lion), and I hike with confidence with this knife. With the rapid deploy blade, the very positive handle almost locking my hand in position, and the short wildly aggressive blade would defend me well in close combat. I hope to never need to use it, but I hike knowing my Cold Steel Spartan is ready ata moments notice. I would absolutely buy this knife again, if I ever lost it.
I think the knife is great. Had it a couple years now but the piece that grabs pocket when pulling it out ha come off. What’s best way to fix this cause it just pops in and out

Best design for a folding, fighting knife, ever . Love the barong hook to keep it in your hand. That Kopis curve makes for a smooth deep cut. Wouldn't want to go against this knife.
