My review of my new Cold Steel Recon 1. This knife is truly a delight to hold. It is razor sharp out of the box, and has super comfortable ergonomics. I like the blacked out blade, the locking mechanism is really second-to-none, and the titanium grip scales make it super light! And to top it all off, I was fortunate enough to buy it on sale!
I got turned to ColdSteel from a friend, I use to use a competitor with a butterfly. The competitor tips of their knives as in 3 of them snapped off. When I bought my ColdSteel none of these knives snapped off or bent. I highly recommend ColdSteel it’s the very best !!!
I had a recon 1 with a different style for 12 years. Used the knife to cut, chop even as a hammer often. Think I only sharpened it twice in those years. I work in law enforcement and use it often. Cold steel products are of quality

Received this knife promptly. It's very sharp out of the box. Feels very good on my hand as I use it seversl times a day, to ooen boxes and cardboard envelopes. Never fsil. Feels very sturdy with the lock
My grandfather bought me this knife but the half teeth version for when I turned 18 and I've had it ever since. The grip design makes the knife easy very to hold, though I wish the grip was just slightly bigger for my hand size. The blade has been sharpened 2 or 3 times since i got it. It's never been bent or dented though some teeth have broken over the years. This knife has been with me almost everywhere I go and I feel naked without it. Of all the pocket knives I've had, this is the best one I've ever had. If and when the day comes I need to replace it, I'm ordering a duplicate.
This is one of the best knives of all time hands down. I’m a former roadbuilder/landscaper/first responder. This knife can do it all, and will at any moment. The only reason I now go with a competitor is because Cold Steels partially serrated models are lacking. I love yall at Cold Steel, PLEASE make this right.
Toughest utility knife I have ever owned and scary sharp out of the box
Although not cheap, this was a great purchase. It’s obvious that this is a quality knife. I have pretty large hands yet find that opening it one-handed is relatively easy.
