The Luzons blades are comprised of 8Cr13MoV Stainless, and expertly hardened to 57-58 Rockwell and feature sharp, strong, points with just enough belly to make them equally useful for cutting and slashing. Youll be dreaming of the Philippines once you experience the Luzons bamboo-inspired handles, featuring concave segments that offer countless comfortable grip options. Made of glass-filled nylon (GFN), the Luzons handles are impervious to the elements, and are unlike any handle weve ever made before. The knife performs very well for basic everyday usage like cutting fruits, zip ties, opening boxes, cutting paracord, cutting plastic bottles Etc but would not recommend it if you're looking for something that can handle medium task like carving wood, cutting notches Etc. The only problem I have with a design is when the knife is in the open position the top stud digs into your hand when you choke up on the knife. Personally I do not like that it has a clip on the knife, mainly because it's too big to fit in most pockets and because of its size it usually doesn't clip on properly. If those two things were removed I would rate this five stars.
Large! positive locking liner lock. Don’t conceal this one unless you are allowed. The clip broke on my first one. This is a great knife for the price, and makes a perfect gift fo the enthusiast.
Smooth movement, great handle grib, feels good in the hand. Steel is too soft tho and edge retention is very low. Easy to sharp.
I own 4 Luzon knifes (3 large, 1 small) and love the large ones. But the steel they are made of is low quality mass market rubbish. I would pay triple the asking price even for a quality 440-grade steel, not to mention some sort of supersteel. Luzon needs better steel!
It's a good knife but quite large. The Luzon 2 would probably be a more useful size. Other than that it's a great, good quality knife.
The large is very large the medium is a great carry size!
I've studied blade arts since 1994. Fits easily in a normal sized pocket. Comfortable in the hand and the extra length gives an advantage should the very remote chance of having to use this for self-defense.
