Cold Steel Espada XL (S35VN), Ambidextrous

I mean, what can you say about this thing? It is bad to the bone. I mean, I’m not gonna carry it to the mall with me, but I certainly wouldn’t want to be on the wrong end of it in certain situations. Probably decent outdoor knife even.

I got this knife about two years ago as a Christmas gift from my wife. I carry it almost daily. This thing is absolutely hairsplitting sharp and I absolutely love it if This is still made by Lynn Thompson. I say pick one up while you still can. You will not be dissatisfied.

Got this as a Christmas gift from my wife two years ago I carry this all most daily I absolutely love it. It handles anything I throw at it and keeps on going. I consider it absolutely priceless. The steel is one of the best I’ve ever used and the knife is absolutely beautiful with the bolsters and the G 10 you can’t go wrong with this knife. I can’t speak for the ones sold after Lynn Thompson left but I can’t speak for the ones he made because that is the one I have and it is way better than I ever could have expected anyway if these new ones or anything like the old ones, you can’t go wrong buy it while they still make them

i bought this about two weeks ago as a long long time wish i had as a teenager and I was finally able to purchase it as an adult and i cant be happier with my purchase. It is definitely big and really shouldnt be carrying it every day but it is so well made that i love having it around as much as possible. If you love what cold steel does you should get one as soon as you can!

I absolute love this knife. It’s easily my favorite pocket knife I have. It barely fits in my pocket, but it fits. I love the locking mechanism on this knife, it feels extremely sturdy. This knife helps make me feel safer in certain environments I’m uncomfortable in. The blade steel is amazing and there’s 2 amazing grip points on this blade. All around this is the nicest pocket knife that one could ask for. I only wish pocket swords were more common because this idea/concept is so amazing and cold steel executed it phenomally

Big guys love big knives... I use the chrome for my EDC and the G-10 for my beater... They gut a big trout in 2 seconds and is handy for Watermelons... A guy named Wicekleather makes fine leather cases for the knife which I use to mount on the shoulder strap of my backpack or anywhere. Even picked up the smaller version for my fast hiking pack setup because I liked it so much...

Excellent knife sharpest I’ve ever owned. It’s my third Cold Steel. I carry one daily. Best knives you can buy. My daily is a vaquero grande. Has been for years. This one pushes the boundaries hard for a daily carry.

This is a wonderful and intimidating piece. The locking mechanism is super strong and is very hard to unlock. Therefore anyone that has Arthritis and/or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome like me should not get this item unless your intended use is for display or as a private collectors item. Regardless; I'm extremely over zealous about research, I'm extremely analytical and unfortunately a perfectionist. I've looked into all products from various vendors comparing specks and watched all review videos. So far: Cold Steel is the top manufacturer of the highest quality in the business for folders, full-tang fixed blades, and everything else.
