The Spike's ergonomic handles feature Integral quillons that provide a safe stop for index finger and thumb, while deeply textured and sculpted Griv-Ex provides excellent positive traction even when your hands are cold, wet and slippery. I got this knife 6 years ago and don't recall how sharp it was when I got it. I know its not the first fix blade I grab, but its been used as a tool when it was near. And as a value product its fantastic. I just cleaned up the edge and was able to shave my arm with it. And the next time I need to beat the hell out of a knife I won't think twice about grabbing this one. Biggest gripe is that I don't have lots of spare mounts around so this is kind of stuck in neck knife territory until I find a spare belt mount, where it would fit nicely for anyone not chopping wood, but who still appreciates a fixed blade.
