Our Counter Tac boot knives were designed with one simple philosophy in mind. Functionality. Quite simply - they work, and they excel at what they do! Their sharp, AUS 8A full-tang blades are vacuum heat treated, and sub-zero quenched for strength and durability. The ergonomic design of the Kray-Ex handle is comfortable and adaptable to any grip, and the deeply textured surface and double guard will insure that the knife is not likely to slip from your hand under any circumstances. Finally, each Counter Tac is shipped with a state of the art Secure-Ex sheath, complete with a removable boot/belt clip and lashing slots so you can carry it just about anywhere.

This is the best boot knife you could ask for. It’s extremely sharp and I love how the blade is flat. It’s perfect for concealing/keeping against oneself. The handle is also extremely grippy. The blade is overall perfect and hits the point of exactly at what it was aimed to do. Be an extremely awesome, cost effective boot knife. I’d highly recommend. It’s excellent, as with any cold steel product.
Good knife and sheath. I've been carrying the Counter Tac I for about 1-2 years. I practice now and then with it. IWB with an ulti clip, strong side, vertical carry. It deploys as quick as you can blink. It profiles a little bit but has enough handle to be secure if I ever did have to use it. I would not have something smaller for self defense. The sheath doesn't allow the knife to come out even when running, and my knife is still razor sharp after practicing. 4 stars because I have had a few times where I could feel that this knife would come out of hand if hit with something heavy and hard in a fight. So, not good for parrying, deflecting, or fighting on defense. If in self defense mode, this is a 100% commit/attack weapon. I'm going to try something larger soon that would be better for defensive minded scenarios, but overall great knife.

The knife itself is good if you keep it role in mind, however as a last resort defense tool, you have to able to deploy it without thought and that's where the sheath/clip can let you down. I've had the sheath separate from the clip several times, leaving me with a sheathed knife in my hand - less than optimal ! Once I even thought I lost the sheathed knife after it separated while carrying on my belt ! 🤬 You can epoxy it on, but then the clip isn't removable at all.😖 Something to be aware of if you choose the Counter Tac
