The Warrior Series swords share the same high-performance 1060 steel, heat treatment, and sharpness as their Emperor counterparts, but we have omitted their expensive mirror polishing in favor of a more practical finish. This makes the Warrior Series a perfect choice for training and perfecting cutting techniques (Tameshigiri) without damaging or tarnishing the blade.

This is my second one. Bought both, polished and sharpened them, and one was used for cutting exercises. They are like a big machete, great steel, and definitely a tool to be used during zombie apocalypse! Highly recommend!
A solid high-quality sword. Great product for the price. Not like the cheap knockoffs often seen elsewhere. I have four swords from Cold Steel and will be purchasing more.

It’s a beast and has been a lot of fun. The saya/scabbard will not stay on when holding upright. It just slips off and has been that way since it arrived. 3 stars for useless sheath that has caused me to mount it exposed.
I've had my Chisa Katana named Shin-kin for 7, almost eight years now, and since initial purchase, I've not had even the slightest tinge of buyers remorse. This thing is a straight up MONSTER. I have used it to break an "unbreakable" glass rod in a single strike. I used it to pry open a huge metal roll up door to save my cat, the lock on the door broke and the sword was bent near 90 degrees. I cut a coiled up rattlesnake into 8 writhing pieces that was about to attack my other cat. And used it to defeat 2 rabid oppossums that had invaded my tent one evening and were extremely reluctant to leave. I practice with Shin-Kin constantly and I love it! It's a part of me, and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Just added the Chisa Katana to my collection and I’m looking forward to putting in through the paces, I am absolutely confident of positive outcomes . Incidentally , When it arrived it was packed well however I noticed a slight amount of white powder or oxidation on the iron tsuba (hand guard) DON’T PANIC !!! A toothbrush and a little oil takes it away no fuse no muss. Let’s look at it this way these tools/instruments require occasional maintenance to stay in tip top form. They are users, enjoy!
