Plasma cut from expertly heat treated 1055 carbon steel and then hand ground and sharpened at the Cold Steel HQ's in Ventura California; the Chinese War Sword Machete has amazing cutting power. Supplied with a Cor-Ex back sheath, this beast of a machete will actually out-perform many swords on the market - and at a fraction of the cost!

Great machete but sharpened incorrectly. Use it more for recreational use with my son.
Absolutely a monster of a machete! I tested this beast out in the woods on trees, branches, 2x4s and a thick 5 gallon bucket filled with water, went through like nothing!.
Previous version of this sword "machete" were made of a higher quality steel and handle had a fabric cover on the grip/handle and the sheath was leather. This current version is painted and a bit crude, but well worth the price and its intended purpose.
I bought a bunch and kept 3 for my own use. This machete mirrors the shape of the Cold Steel Dadao Warsword, but is much thinner and very roughly finished as a machete. It is extremely useful as a machete and can lob off limbs and is an extremely effective defense sword. It doesn't swing and handle as well as the real sword, but will out perform Every machete blade out there. I highly everyone stock up a few for future home and defense.

This thing is a beast. Great for trail walking and cutting anything from small twigs to whole trees with hardly any vibration in the hands. Excellent all around tool you can even use it as a walking aid on steep hills. If you need to make a new trail in the woods I highly recommend purchasing one of these Beasts.
Largest sword/machete format that coldsteel makes I do believe and for the money it's awesome.It still has the factory edge and even then it's lethal,but when I'm done with it it's going to be out the gate! Thanks again Lynn Thompson!!!

I’ve used this machete for trail maintenance to limb softwood trees of diameter 1”-2” for hours on end and it holds up well, doesn’t deflect or vibrate. It has the heft to get the job done. It could do so in one swing, but I’m middle-aged & after hours of chainsaws and lopping, and swinging I’m happy to accept two hits with this two hander.
