Cold Steel AD-15 (S35VN), OD Green, Ambidextrous, Pocket Knife

The AD15 was designed for a self defense knife,not a utility knife,if you want a utility knife may i suggest walmart.All exceptionally well made knives will have some weight to it .It's not for everyone. I've owned the AD15 and the large espada,I've had them for several months and never had a problem with either one.the scorpion lock is unique one of a kind and takes some getting use to,they are in my opinion the best of the best

I have carried the recon and AD-10 for years love my cold steel products but this one I wanted to try and I have had it in my pocket for a month now almost to the date and the locking mechanism broke just closing it The blade is fantastic not a scratch on it ….. But the new scorpion lock is I guess used for a collector not someone who works with a knife daily

Great knife, love everything about it but definitely not stoked about the price hike once you released the "lite" version. I purchased this knife for roughly $150 US which is a great price. Even at $180 I would've purchased but almost 300? Shame on you cold steel.

I was listening to various reviews on this knife. I was initially thinking, it was just too overly complicated and big and heavy, to be the knife for me. I gradually changed my mind as I thought it was just such an interesting knife and obviously very well made. I looked more closely at the design and saw just how easy this lock is to use and I am left-handed which restricts me to ambidextrous designs, which are not many. The ‘fidget’ factor appealed as well, and it seemed much easier to use one-handed than the Triad lock on the AD-10. I haven’t been disappointed; it truly is exceptionally well made, and the Scorpion Lock is surprisingly practical and is very elegant yet robust. The whole knife is over-designed in a nice sort of way. If I am unlucky and run over by a large truck, I am confident that this knife will survive. The AD-15 feels like what it is, a premium custom knife that is then later mass produced. The two-way grind on the blade is amazing and it comes with a perfect and hair-shaving sharp edge from the factory. The attention to detail is first rate in every aspect. I like the grip on the G10 overall and the knife feels lovely and balanced in the hand. It sits well in the pocket too and doesn’t feel heavy to carry, although the contact patch under the pocket clip could maybe have had a matching flat spot on the G10 to avoid wear and tear on the pocket.

Great product. Quality steel. Interesting locking / unlocking mechanism. Takes getting use to it. Worth the money.
