Not long and unwieldy, feels very comfortable inverted and caping animal hide and carving up game. The blade width and grind make it my choice for camp cooking too and the handle is non slip when wet or sticky.

Got one of these as a tip from a customer, the old style with a leather sheath. I haul junk, rental clean out, demo, etc so I wear a fixed blade everyday. I cut through thousands of power cords, leather, plastic, sheet metal, everything with this knife. It was was indestructible. Great balance, very sturdy. It was by far my favorite. The perfect blade. Then one day I left the only functional button on the sheath un-snapped and lost it at the landfill. I was crushed. It has haunted me since. I don't know why but I'd think of that knife and it would eat at my soul knowing I lost it. Finally I broke down and bought one. Feels good man. I feel whole again. Bought a 2nd master hunter in 1999 or 2000 still best knife to field dress a deer. Still super easy to keep absurdly sharp.
