Things I Liked

Well made, all aluminum construction. Very easy to mount onto the dove tail.

Things I Would Have Changed

Make a unit that will fit larger dove tails.

What Others Should Know

I bought this to mount a peep sight on my Beeman Dual Caliber air rifle but it was too small for the dove tail. However, it did fit the dove tail on the steel breech I installed on my Crosman 1322, so I kept it.

Just about every mount made for airguns (except for the Weavers & Picatinnys) fits a range of dovetail widths. Some go as low as 9mm (3/8" is 9.5mm). On the other end of the spectrum, many mounts accommodate dovetails larger than 11mm…they go all the way up to 14mm. Old BSA airguns used to have 14mm dovetails, which is probably the rationale for mounts spreading that wide. Modern BSA airguns have 11mm dovetails.

First, I would like to apologize to anyone who has read this review and secondly I would like to apologize to Pyramid Air for telling them there ad saying this mount fits 11mm dovetails was in error. I must explain that initially I sat this on a 3/8" dovetail and it fit perfectly. At this point I had not read the directions because it was so easy to mount. When I tried putting it on an 11mm dovetail, it didn't fit. After several days I read the directions and found out how to expand the gap to fit an 11mm dovetail. I did so and it now sits on my Beeman dual caliber air rifle along with a Williams peep sight. Again, my apologies.

Things I Liked

This riser along with the front one I got did just what I wanted it to. It got the sights in my 10 meter rifle higher so that I could keep my head straight and not have to bend it down to be aligned with the sights. Also, the BKL products clamp on to the dove tail very well as both sides of the riser, or scope mount, snug in on the dove tail at the same time and at the same rate.

Things I Would Have Changed

Less money. It's just a piece of plastic. Fairly well machined at that, but still...
