AVA and Hawke Scope & Case Kit

This review is for the complete package, rifle, scope and case. The rifle is accurate and consistent in velocity. The scope is a fine piece of optics. The case adds good value to the package as well, even if it isa difficult to close at times.

Tis is my second avenger in this configuration. I also have the model in .177. Each came with selection of hex keys, and a re-build kit of various O-rings. Given that PCP guns can cause the O-rings to wear and fail this is a good thing. It would also be a good thing to include a chart identifying the rings and a diagram indicating exactly where each one would go when the time comes, as it will.

These guns would have a finer "feel" if they were outfitted with wooden stocks. Such stocks are available and even with the added cost this package is still a value when you consider the price of the version in wood with the scope and case purchased separately and the 20.shots for $20 mount and zero service.

Size, weight, low recoil, the overall cost.

I would definitely change the magazine cassette.

Super accurate and quiet. Zero complaints bout the gun or service. Case came cracked in shipping and pyramid was quick to send out label to get me a replacement great customer service

Good power, consistent velocity, superb accuracy. 20 for 20 service included with purchase. I ordered this gun on 11/29/24 PA tested it on 12/3/24. I received it on 12/9/24 already pressurized to approx 3000psi. Reg is set to approx 2000psi. I shot a few "to prove it worked" and put it away for the next day.12/11/24 shot 20 shots to fine tune the 10 yd sight-in to my 20 yd and slightly downhill backyard range and 10.5gr Crosman Premier domes then sent about 20 more shots (lost count, finicky chrono) that could be covered by a dime with no further adjustments needed . Main gauge needle had scarcely moved. Pressurized up to 4000psi. Next dry day I'll try to find out how many shots it takes to go off register, if the day is long enough.

Side lever throw seemed a little long, but I am new to side lever guns so what do I know?

Gun and scope together have a bit of heft to them. The included scope is high quality, not a cheaped out toy. The Plano case can be a bit of work to close, but give it time.

I got this about a year and a half ago. I had the 20 shot string done by PA; this thing was absolute money out of the box. So far, an incredible rifle. If your new to PCP Air Rifles and want an encouraging leap into the hobby, I highly recommend this one to do it with.

Quiet, accurate, and easy to use. Everyone looks at this gun and knows how it works. PA tune was great and the scope was dialed in exactly right when I opened it up. Totally worth having them set it up and tune it compared to needing to sort this out myself.

Slide is a bit rougher than I would expect, but I think this is mostly due to the magazine not fitting cleanly with the bolt. With a single shot the slide is much cleaner. Scope is good but not great.

This is my first PCP as I expect will be many other buyers. Compared to CO2 and break barrels, there are different tradeoffs. You get the consistency of a break barrel without sacrificing the orientation from the shooting position. CO2 swap is very fast, but recharging the PCP takes some minutes. On the plus side, the consistency from the regulated PCP feels dependable.

Awesome deal. Why I waited like fool for over a deal like this is beyond me. Glass alone is over $200.00 not counting rings then a high quality case for around $75.00 plus the avenger $349.00 that’s over a couple hundred cheaper than buying it separately. The glass is crystal clear at all the ranges needed for the task at hand. The Avenger is just so accurate trigger is nice it’s just an amazing piece of equipment.

Get the package deal get a JTS compressor maybe a mini bottle. But definitely a jts pump from here. Things amazing best of the sub $800.00 pumps. Lots of pellets. JSB 15-18 grain in 22 any typ of pellets I’m seeing.

Great package deal. Good solid build. I was really excited to buy. Ive had it for a bit more than a year now and Ive hit paper with it twice. I dont know if I received one with a defective barrel or or a defective scope. Ive tried a number of remedies ranging from different pellets/slugs to different scopes to no avail. I learned that I am patient to a fault, I should have returned it a very long time ago. Oh well.

Good deal. Not happy with the scope though.

It’s a great package deal. I’m having Scope issues so if they persist I’ll contact Pyramid and hopefully they’ll make it right.

I bought this combo on a Pre-Order. The wait was awful but, it really wasn’t that bad.

The quality of the package deal. I'm new to air rifles. So I was going straight of of reviews. I was not disappointed. This is going to be fun!
