Athlon Optics Midas TSP3 Prism Scope

For the price, this is probably one of the best red dots money can buy. I also bought one for my son in law for Christmas.

Seems like good glass for price, zeroed in at 36 yards relatively easy on an aero precision 556. Somewhat difficult to turn light off. Etched reticle is nice.

I picked this prism scope over a few other options I was considering, and I'm very satisfied with it. What led me to choose the TSP3 over some of the different options I was considering were the price, the size of the center dot, the reputation of Athlon, the overall size of the TSP3, and the prism technology over a standard red dot. I have astigmatism, so I've struggled with some standard red dots in the past, having a large starburst around the center dot and a lot of light bleeding into other parts of the optic lens, basically killing my sight picture and accuracy. With a prism sight, you don't have any of that light bleed just due to the way that the reticle is etched and then illuminated, making it appear as though the reticle is being projected onto the target. The glass on the TSP3 is very clear and having an etched reticle, the reticle is still very visable even when the illumination is turned off. It has held up very nicely on my 50 caliber muzzleloader over this past season and I highly recommend this sight to anyone needing a smaller sized, lightweight, fixed-magnification optic that has clear glass and a nice bright picture, that is also illuminated for those low-light situations.

The increased magnification enables precise shot placement, which is particularly beneficial when engaging targets at extended distances. Additionally, the scope’s compact design does not add unnecessary bulk to my firearm, maintaining its maneuverability. The eye relief is comfortable, and the field of view at 100 yards is approximately 9 feet, providing ample situational awareness. The scope also features a smart power management system that conserves battery life by shutting off after six hours of inactivity.  In summary, the Athlon Midas TSP4 Prism Scope has exceeded my expectations. Its durable construction, exceptional optical quality, and practical magnification make it a valuable addition to my 300 Blackout pistol. I highly recommend this scope to anyone seeking to enhance their shooting accuracy and overall experience.

Very impressed with the optic. I’ve had several different optics and this is a dang good optic for the money!
