The Athlon Optics 10-40x56 Argos BTR Gen3 Rifle Scope delivers important updates over the first generation of this scope while still providing the quality and value for which Athlon is known. It utilizes a 30mm heat-treated one piece tube made of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and a 56mm objective lens to provide sharp and clear views for long-range precision shooting.
This scope features advanced fully-multicoated lenses with XPL protective coating that yields superior performance even in low light or poor weather. In addition, it is waterproof, shockproof, and purged with argon to give improved fogproofing results, all of which leads to durable and dependable operation across a wide range of conditions.
The Athlon Optics 10-40x56 Argos BTR Gen3 offers the precision zero stop system, an upgrade over prior scopes in this line, which allows shooters to set a zero on the elevation turret and then turn it clockwise to easily return to zero with a hard stop. Both turrets adjust in a range of 45 MOA with 12 MOA per rotation, using 0.125 MOA increments.
The BLR SFP (Second Focal Plane) MOA reticle uses etched glass and thin lines to maximize performance at middle and longer distances such as those encountered when hunting and in benchrest competitions. The reticle features a variety of markings ranging from .016 MOA to 2 MOA, in addition to a fine center dot for excellent long-range accuracy.
