When AirForce Airguns’ customers asked for a fully moderated, full-sized Texan big-bore air rifle, the Fort Worth, Texas-based manufacturer listened. What resulted is the quietest version of one of the most powerful PCP air rifles in production.
Introducing the AirForce Texan LSS. With its 34” barrel and *updated TX2 valve, which produces 100 more foot-pounds of muzzle energy than its predecessor, it can hurl .45-caliber ammo in excess of 1,100 FPS at muzzle energies of up to 700+ foot-pounds, AirForce reports. And, it can do it much quieter than its older, unmoderated sibling. Before this, AirForce Airguns shooters desiring the same big-bore bite as the Texan with significantly less bark often looked to the Texan SS and its Sound-Loc System® technology. But, that option comes with lower velocities and muzzle energies that go along with an almost 10-inch shorter barrel.

What Others Should Know! Bought this while my .50 cal Umerex Hammer was down and sent off for warranty during deer season. Needless to say i will be selling the hammer because there is no competition between the two . The air force Handles like a sniper rifle and just all around feels more like a rifle and not a jacked up toy.

Accurate, I have owned my 457 and 25 for more than a year . I make my own ammo. 457 lss , condor,24 inch version with aftermarket choke. Both accurate to 200 yards +, 6 inch target with ease. Golf balls at 100! Wild pig with 25 no issues! 75 yards

What Others Should KnowUpgrade to a 1.1liter bottle on the 457 gets you 15 shots at3600 @ 200 yards for me .
Have been wanting one for years could not decide what one I wanted ta buy decided on the 357.

What Others Should KnowCould come with a bipod mounted on it. Been trying to find one that will fit on it. Havent been able ta find one that will work on it.
This is a beast and shoots well. I'm still experimenting with ammo but I have shot it enough to know this is a powerful rifle that will group well. I previously purchased a Texan LSS CF in .50 caliber and this rifle seems to be another great one.
Things I Would Have ChangedLike a lot of previous comments, a picatiny rail would be nice. An adapter is available. The stock adjustment could be longer. I had to add a pad.
What Others Should KnowThis is a .308, not a .30. This rifle seems it may be a little finicky about what ammo it likes but that is part of the fun. Like all large calibers, this is an air hog so get set up for that. Also, expect great service from Airforce. I had a problem with the air guage and they resolved the issue beyond my expectations.
