    Things I liked:

i got this gun in .25 cal and shooting H&N crow magnums 26.24 grain and baracuda hunters 27.47 grain pellets and one called ultra shock 23.5gr. out of the box the gun was shooting very rough, but i persisted and its breaking in like it should now. the trigger on it is really bad but can be gotten used to and i noticed this gun lkes to be griped very tightly to get any accuracy and to hold down on trigger flinch as it lengthy pull is really bad and the release on it is hard to predict, scope is complete garbage and the rings sucked but i finally managed to get it to hold a 2 inch group after shimming the back rings and ran the horizontal reticle all the way down due to close distance of about 40 to 50 feet from target in my small back yard im really better off with the stock sights on the gun. over all the gun is ok for a 99 dollar gun and it takes time to break in as with all air guns in the spring or air ram family and if you get used to the trigger then it will be ok .

    Things I would have changed:

the scope and the trigger is very sloppy and long travel but it functions and can be gotten used to,

    What others should know:

the stock is ok, i like the lightness. get a better scope for sure or use the sights, use a firm strong grip on this gun to get any good grouping out of it. its got a heafty punch and hits hard. give it time to break in to shoot better thats what im doing. over all is ok for 99 bucks

I have found it to be quite accurate with Iron sights, I haven't sighted in the scope yet!

    Things I liked:

power. for entry lvl rifle its well worth the sub 100 dol pricw scope or no scope. i got the .25 cal version. 22 to fpe usuing the preditor 16 grain gto ammopower still climbing through a bit as break in period im still working on. another great pellet i use h n bar hunter 27 grain. very nicw balamced nd hard hitting pellet as well. give em try as well. you will like both im sure. use gto for closer harder to kill critters. and h n ones for longer distance shots on smaller game.

    Things I would have changed:

include sling studs n sling . but gamo gun buddy sling works awesome ......

    What others should know:

worth the money get ya couple these . you cant go wrong for power. price performance... stop reading and start buying.......

    Things I liked:

A great bargain for a hunting airgun! I got it in .25 caliber and it hits hard and is very accurate out of the box just using the iron sights! The included scope is usable, but a better one would give more consistency. There's a scope stop pre-installed on the dovetail rails. This rifle can definitely reach out and put the smackdown on small to medium sized game! For rabbits, a 20 grain pellet is perfect, giving you a little further reach. For squirrels and racoon-sized game, the 25.39 grain Preditor Polymags can't be beat in this rifle!! For the price, it's pretty rugged, so you don't have to worry about accidentally banging it around and scuffing it! If you can get past the sloppy trigger, this rifle is a great bang for the buck!

    Things I would have changed:

The TRIGGER!! This is definitely where they cut the corner on! Yes, it's VERY sloppy! It has a Long pre-travel, a little mushy at the break, and then some over-travel. For me, it wasn't a deal breaker, but I did have to learn and get used to it. On the unboxing, the gun seemed like it had been completely dipped in oil! So, make sure to take a rag and wipe it completely off! There's also a gob of grease around the breech port, so wipe that off as well. It'll diesel for a bit, so maybe cleaning the barrel prior to shooting it might help...I didn't do this. Either way, there will be residual oil and grease coming out for at least 20-30 shots, so keep a rag handy. Finally, a better scope and mount would be nice. The included ones are good enough for hunting, though.

    What others should know:

The cocking effort is moderate, but not bad at all. My Gamo Maxxim in .177 is heavier to cock than the Edge.

    Things I liked:

This is a very solid rifle shoots great after about 50 shots put through it. It is definitely worth the money and is a great guy for hunting squarrels and other small game it's a power house I havery it in the .22 and .25 I would definitely suggest the .22!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Better scope throw the one that comes with it away it's junk can't get it to stay sighted in and the .25 is a heavy rifle not for going out and carring it all day through the woods

    What others should know:

Pyramid air takes really good care of there customers and prices are definitely worth what you get

    Things I liked:

Powerful 22 cal pellet rifle with solid value. I really like the fiber-optic open sights for shooting in low-light conditions when destructive raccoons and possums are most active. The 14.3 grain domed pellets puts a serious smack-down on seed stealing varmints.

    Things I would have changed:

    I wouldn't change a thing.

    What others should know:

For anything close to this price-point I don't think you can beat it.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Everything! This is my first .25 caliber air rifle and it is perfect for pest control. Some may suggest it is overkill for rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks but I call it humane. The trigger is as smooth as butter right out of the box and dead-on accurate at 10 yards. The normal break-in period I expected was non-existent. The value for money factor should be 10 stars.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish the manual had a bit more detail on the maintenance of it, like what oil should be used and the specific points of lubrication. A little more power would have been nice but for the most common distances I will be shooting from (less than 25 yards) it has plenty of knock-down power.

    What others should know:

Do not be fooled by the low price, this is an outstanding air rifle. I did not even bother mounting the scope that came in the box and went straight to my bugbuster. Also tried a Tru-glo 1x red dot, sighted it in at 5 yards and can hammer nails with it.

    Things I liked:

I bought this in .25 caliber. The accuracy with open sights is excellent. I haven't tried it with a scope yet and probably won't since I like the open sights on this rifle. The trigger is fine, cocking takes little effort. This rifle has to be the best deal in a gas piston air rifle. I have been shooting air rifles since 1970 and this has to be the best one for the money that I ever owned.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

If you are looking for a larger caliber gas piston air rifle this is the one you want. You just can't beat it for the money.

Really nice air rifle. I've only been able to bore sight it, seems to be a Real tack driver. I look forward to being able to find sighted and then use it for hunting.

    Things I would have changed:

At this point, I don't think I would change anything about the rifle.

    What others should know:

Don't be afraid of it by the price, it's a good air rifle.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

During its brief lifespan the gun was accurate and hard hitting, however, after 16 months and under 100 shots the vortex system failed completely. The repair cost as provided by the manufacturer Approached the price of a new rifle so the gun is now merely scrap.

    Things I would have changed:

A fair and realistic warranty and better build quality.

    What others should know:

Be prepared for premature vortex system failure and exorbitant repair rates.

    Things I liked:

easy to setup, very accurate right out of the box. Very powerful air gun. Great value

    Things I would have changed:

Lots of oil and grease that had to be cleaned away...be prepared with a soft cloth. Rear site is a little flimsy but usable. Scope is ok but when you consider the price, its great. Trigger is a little tough but I'm sure it will get better with age.

    What others should know:

shot a dime size group at 25 yds with very little adjustment. Both with open sites and with the scope

    Rating 2.02.0 2.0

    Things I liked:

Hard hitting, good accuracy for price, except, if you are used to a good trigger, this one has enough creep to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up! Except for the trigger a great value for the price, but for me the trigger is a deal breaker, and lowers the accuracy rating. I had the 10 for $10 check out (a good idea for cheaper guns) so I assume my trigger is at least average for this model.

    Things I would have changed:

A better or more adjustable trigger.

    What others should know:

Some pellets, eg H&N Silver Point, hard to chamber, start head in rifling (on my .25 cal).

    Things I liked:

i have the 25 cal. version. I don't find it as load as some have said. Great power and had hitting. Open sites have been accurate right out or box. Don't know if I will put scope on right away or not. Weather has not let me shoot as much as I would like here in the east as of late. Will update later.

    Things I would have changed:

Put a good scope on this gun. I'm not even going to use one that came with it. I have a better scope that will go on this gun If I good that way. Also they should con with sling. I order the Gamo sling from guns without the set up it works but not real happy with it. I will have to see about a nother way

    What others should know:

I don;t think you can beat this gun for this price. So far I love the shooting I have done with it but it needs a sling. I'm very happy with it so far

    Things I liked:

Build quality; power; great open sights; smooth break action; accuracy

    Things I would have changed:

The hoop around the front sight is annoying; the included scope cannot tolerate the rifle's recoil but I prefer open sights so it isn't an issue to me.

    What others should know:

I bought this gun to replace a Crosman Phantom NP that recently died; my primary squirrel gun. So far, so good although I haven't shot any squirrels with it. The small lake I live on is over-populated with Western Pond Turtles - about three times as many as the lake can support. My granddaughters have caught more turtles than bass this summer so I discourage turtles from hanging around my dock. My main turtle gun is a Crosman .177 NP due to its long flat trajectory and the limited skip of Gamo Tomahawk pellets. The Hatsan Edge .22 holds a flat trajectory for about 30 yards and the Crosman Hollow Points aren't inclined to wander in the wind. I've hit a dozen turtles in the week I've had this gun. If you've never shot turtles, all they give you for a target is an ugly head - a tiny head since there aren't a lot of brains inside. Even so, any miss is on me, not the gun.

    Things I liked:

Rock solid shooting frame. I bought this for target shooting but I will use it for hunting small game. I have the 25 cal version and it was loud compared to my other rifle. That is ok, I just have to get used to it. Also the recoil is a little bit more than what I'm used to so I decided not to mount the scope on the Edge. The scope is not needed once it is sighted in. Cocking effort is right in range for a 25 cal rifle.

    What others should know:

I am definitely looking at other Hatsan rifles like the MOD 130S Vortex QE.
