    Things I liked:

I like the feel and balance of the gun and the power. Being a .22 cal., it hits a target pretty hard. I also like the CO2. I got tired of my pump-up pistol.

    Things I would have changed:

I'm not crazy about the sights. I think accuracy could be improved with better sights (and not because the front sight was put on crooked!) Just the overall type of sights is not very accurate. Maybe if they were more narrow? Or possibly a "V" and a small round front sight?

    What others should know:

The last two guns I've purchased had the front sights put on crooked! One was so bad I had to cut it off with a band saw, reposition, and then epoxy it back on! This Crosman 2240 has a crooked front sight also. It's almost impossible to get any kind of accuracy out of the gun. I'm probably going to have to cut the front sight off of this one and reset it also! (The other gun was the Hatsan model 95 rifle)

    Things I liked:

I purchased this pistol because I wanted a CO2 powered, .22 cal. pellet gun with power and accuracy. This Crosman 2240 is all that. I find it to be most effective within 15 meters of target. It's sturdy construction and design makes for a nice balanced fit in my hand.

    Things I would have changed:

The front site would be a lot easier and faster to take aim with if it was a fixed fiber-optic type. It would also be great if it was made with a rail so a red-dot or laser type optic scope could attach.

    What others should know:

The one thing I find to be disappointing is you really have to tool-tighten the screw cap CO2 chamber cover in order to pierce CO2 cylinder. Now that just isn't right.

    Things I liked:

This pistol is an excellent buy for the money. I put a red dot scope on it and the accuracy is very good. I plan to customize it latter with a steel breech and longer barrel. I get about 80 shots per CO2 cartridge. It has good power out to at least 30 ft. The pistol feels good in the hand and it is a fun pistol to shoot. If you are looking to buy a single shot CO2 pistol this is the best for the money.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see better sites with the pistol. A better trigger would be nice but it is possible to buy new triggers for these pistols. An option for wood grips would be nice.

    What others should know:

The pistol is louder than to my other CO2 pistols.buy it can still be shot indoors.

This gun really packs a wallop! It is super accurate too! I love shooting it. Very comfortable in my hands! can't wait to buy some accessories for it to make it even more fun! After lots of research and finally getting this gun in my hands, I believe you simply cannot find a better value out there.

    Things I would have changed:

    I can't think of anything I didn't like.

    Things I liked:

    Not much, pistol grips...? maybe.

    Things I would have changed:

Power and a whole lot more power Like at least 2nce as much just to make it functional enough to be worth using. Use 2 co2 cartridge at a time, one down the tube and then incorporate a 2nd co2 cartridge to be added in the handle. Standard sights are to small and narrow, not to mention black on black. The bluing, I got a little bit of light rain on mine and it started showing rust. I had to clean and re-blue the gun.

    What others should know:

At 10 to 14 yards pellets were ricocheting off med/hard wood boards. this gun has no killing power for hunting. Maybe the .177 is a much better gun? If you are going to buy this than go with the P/A sight upgrade package and go threw P/A period, so it's easy to return and exchange for something different.

    Things I liked:

(Review is for the 2400 with a Steel Breech and Williams notch sight) - Tack driver straight out of the box, if you miss it's your fault. - Shoots many pellets very well - Tons of aftermarket parts and mods - Nice trigger - Gets ~50 consistent shots per powerlet

    Things I would have changed:

    - The front breech screw is a tiny hex screw and I suspect the hex will strip after a few dis-assemblies. - Very hard to puncture powerlets, have to use a pair of pliers to tighten the endcap the last little bit.

    What others should know:

    - You will read other reviews of the steel breech kit saying that the bolt is loose, this is not true with my gun. My bolt locks up nice and tight. - I have replaced my trigger spring with a slightly lighter one of the same OD and length, as well as stoned and polished the contact surfaces of the trigger and sear where the trigger interfaces with the sear, and the sear with the hammer. The pieces as they come are rough, stoning them flat to increase contact area between parts removes any gritty feeling and gives you a crisper trigger. You must insure to keep the surfaces flat and perpendicular to the adjacent sides or this practice is pointless. I don't have a pull gauge but I would estimate it to be around 2 lbs. - The Williams sight is a top notch piece of equipment. It is one of the nicest iron sights I have ever had on any airgun OR firearm. Can HIGHLY recommend it.

    Things I liked:

Easy to use, except for the sights. Light enough that my wife can handle this better than the Hatsun I purchased earlier. Much lighter, and fun to use.

    Things I would have changed:

The sights are not so hot. The sights are hard to adjust and would be nice if the adjustments were moved by mechanical screws instead of 'by guess' with loosening the sights and moving with fingers. I'd also like to know, after how many shots, the velocity changes. I noticed the last several shots weren't moving as fast as the first. I believe this is natural, but would like more information.

    What others should know:

If you start with air guns, be aware, that if you're like me, you could become obsessive with accuracy and target shooting. Great fun!

    Things I liked:

First of all, this gun is a lot of fun for everyone in my family (who have tried it so far) to shoot. Not been worried so far about pinhole accuracy as that's not why I bought it. Was looking for a fun shooter for plinking and does this ever fill the bill! Wish I had bought one years ago. Been airgunning with pistols and rifles for more decades than I want to admit. Always have liked pellet guns for target shooting and just fun and this is a great addition to our collection.

    Things I would have changed:

A positive stop for the probe when in the open position would have been nice. I keep wanting to point the gun downward to load a pellet but, of course, when you do, the probe slides forward. No doubt this is a hangover from my firing breakbarrel pistols for so many years but I would recommend than one change.

    What others should know:

If you don't have one, buy one! For the price you can't go wrong. Not too many things I know of give this much fun for your money.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate after you break it in. It shot kind of unpredictably for the first 50 shots, yet still within 1-2 inch groups at 30 feet. A couple of hits where I aimed and then a couple of wingers. After that it just started coming together into tighter groups. After about 200 shots, I was getting half inch groups at 30 feet. I am still breaking it in ( I really don't think an air pistol is broken in until after 400-500 rounds and at least 2 barrel cleanings and oilings, but that's just what I do) and it is very consistent and seems to be getting better. I'm getting to the point where I can't tell where one hole ends and another starts, but I still don't consider it a "one hole group". Using heavier pellets, 12-15 grains seems to be the best way to go.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like better sights. Black sights are a pain in low light conditions, and white dots or fiber optic sights would be a big improvement. Also the ability to change sights would be nice. On thing I've learned over the years is that with black sights, a bit of "White Out" or white model paint is a good thing to make your own white dot sights. But it's a pellet gun!

    What others should know:

I'm not doing competition or precision shots with it. Although it is capable of some fairly amazingly accurate shooting in the 10 to 20 yard range. It also depends upon the pellets you use. Spend the money for better pellets. The Crosman Premier pellets are not consistent and therefore not that reliable for repeatable accuracy. JSB Jumbo Exact Heavy Diabolo seem to work the best in my pistol. Very accurate and consistent, shot after shot. Pyramid Air sells them. Plan on getting 45- 50 shots per CO2 cylinder. You can't go wrong with this gun. I'm teaching my granddaughter to shoot pistol with it and she's doing really well. (she's 7) The trigger isn't bad at all, yet it could be a bit smoother. If you shoot indoors, it is a bit loud. especially if you add a drop of oil to every CO2 cylinder as recommended. For some reason the addition of the oil makes the first few shots pretty loud, but the idea of adding it to the head of the cylinder head is obvious to the maintenance of the gun.

    Things I liked:

For the money you cant go wrong. Upgrades and wow the upgrade, more than you could ever want. Its a great gun. It is accurate and well built. Would like it to have more power but wow it is great for every member of the family. What could do with a springer you can do with this. I haven't found a cheap spring gun that keep the level of accuracy this little gun is able to do. I modded mine out to where I can keep a 10 shot group less than a dime at 30 yards. Out of the box or plastic package this gun is more than enough to keep tight groups at 20 yards, 30 would be pushing it for small game. I love it.

    Things I would have changed:

The breach to a steel breach with a dovetail. I got the steel breach from PA also....WOW

    What others should know:

Its a good pistol, the plastic breach is smooth to work but I shoot a lot and could wear it out. You will need the steel breach if you want to mount optics.

metal rear sight, had problem with my windage and piercing CO2 cartridge. Trigger pretty bad.

    What others should know:

Never worked correctly, took extraordinary pressure to pierce 1st CO2 cartridge, followed factory directions. Shot randomly at first, sometimes fired, sometimes not. Used up 1st CO2 cartridge sighting in at 25', windage put rear sight way off to one side. Replaced cartridge and could not pierce 2d CO2 cartridge. Turned in screw all the way. Had to take off cap with Vise Grips! CO2 cartridge would not drop out, tried tapping , would not budge, something is seriously wrong. Waiting for a RMA from Pyramid right now. Hope their Customer Service is as good as everyone says.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

The upgrade steel breach and rear sight was a mistake. The rear sight was a improvement but the plastic breach works better, than the steel breach the bolt is so loose that gravity will open it the pellets are hard to load they get sideways and jam it's aggravating to fight with it every time you load it
