Powerfully quiet dangerous weapon. I was so impressed that within three days of purchasing this rifle i had ordered the 25 cal marauder

    Things I would have changed:

very good bargain very quiet and powerful

    What others should know:

so strong to cock that it is almost child proof the heavy pellets were more erotic groupings than the jsb exactking pellet

    Things I liked:

Extremely powerful pellet gun without having to pump multiple times or using CO2. Cheap to use... jost the cost of the pellets. Neat CenterPoint sigh. I specially like the 3x to 9x adjustment.

    Things I would have changed:

Heavy, need a stand or rest to shoot. It does have a little kick to it.

    What others should know:

If you like the sniper feel in an air gun, you need to get one of these. Great grown up toy that does not require a shooting range.

    Things I liked:

The .22 cal!!! Its very powerfull. Its imbedding pellets in my trees from 50 yards away. It is also just a great looking gun. Accurate too. Second time owning this gun, the first one was kind of a dud. This one is shooting pretty accurately. First at 10 then at 25 and 50 yards im hitting targets so, yeah Im pretty pleased.

    Things I would have changed:

Its pretty heavy. As Paul Cappello said in the airgun review video, it could use a little wood shaved off the grip.

    What others should know:

My beef is, they didnt send a strap?? The first time I bought the gun it included a strap so ill have to check the ad and see if that still goes because the strap is nice. Other than that, this gun is perfect for hunting rabbits, squirrels, birds, oppossum, raccoon. I have the .22 .117 is too small to be fun and .25 pellets are too hard to find. THIS GUN IS SWEET. People in here talk alot of smack on the trigger. Its odd, I guess you would have to be alot more experienced then me to notice a flaw in this trigger, but then you would think an experienced air shooter could overcome this? The trigger is fine

    Things I liked:

the gun did look decent but has poor scope, poor trigger & mine was very inconsistent accuracy wise. PA has first class customer service so dealing with them has been great.

    Things I would have changed:

trigger adjustments didnt do anything. barrel lockup got loose after about 1000 shots. scope broke right off the bat. sent it back to Crosman & they fixed it & 5 weeks later I got it back. then the pivot pin for the barrel got loose & the scope broke a second time - same problem as first time, the reticle turned. could not get gun to shoot consistent right off either. had to shoot 6-8 times to get to day befores point of impact.

    What others should know:

dont blow your money - get a better gun. I got a RWS 350 mag & right out the box it is ten times better. PA does have awesome customer service so buy whatever you do get from them.

Look and finish is pretty nice. Power to spare

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is kind if sad but will work with it.

    What others should know:

Don't know why they wouldn't put a little time in the trigger. It would improve this rifle greatly. Scope is pretty nice but I have never shot much with one. Look forward to getting it out of my back yard and letting it bust loose.

    Things I liked:

This gun is very powerful. It is very accurate. I have shot 200+ pellets. Keeping a group of under an inch at 50yrds.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger adjustment should be better. A lot of turns to adjust. Scope is very good except adjusting eye relief.

    What others should know:

this gun is not for beginners.

    Things I liked:

I`m new to spring piston pellet guns. I`ve had a couple of the Crosman multipump 700fps pellet/BB rifles but they didn`t have a rifled barrel. My wife and married girls were wanting to know what they could give me for Christmas so I thought I`d ask for a Trail XL in .177 caliber(as that was readily available ammo and I had plenty). I`ve had this rifle over a month and it is fantastic. I`ve probably shot over 500 rounds through it. I originally had problems adjusting the scope as it was shooting really high and to the right. I ran out of adjustment but a small shim under the front scope mount gave me what I was looking for. With this rifle, the artillery hold is a must. Never having a spring piston, I`m understanding that all require this. What I`m liking is the consistency. The old Crosman 760 shot all over the place but this shoots predictably and consistent. My Son-in-law brought his grandfather`s Gamo Extreme over around Thanksgiving and I believe it is the equivalent to the Trail XL except it has a spring instead of the nitrogen piston platform. I could not shoot it accurately but I didn`t know about the artillery hold back then. Probably more gun than I need but I really like the magnum power that it offers. All my Son-in-laws have to shoot it when they come over. I did void the warranty and did the "free" trigger upgrade to the trigger I saw on Youtube. Squirrels are no longer a problem around my house--or my neighbors.

    Things I would have changed:

Iron sights and the weight are the only things I can think of as things I`d change.

    What others should know:

If you are looking for a magnum, this would be a rifle to consider. It is heavy, though. To me, the trigger everyone has mentioned is a non-issue to me as I did the washer mod to the trigger a day or so after I got it and having never really shot another spring piston other than a few shots through a Gamo Extreme, this is all I know. The scope, thus far, has also been satisfactory.

    Things I liked:

I purchased the .25 cal version and was surprised at how quiet this gun is compared to other .22 cal and .177 cal air rifles. For its size, this gun is very light. This is a good looking gun and its fit and finish are excellent. Cocking this gun is very smooth and the long barrel makes cocking easy and safe. I found this gun to be very accurate and seems to perform best with Predator Polymag Hunting Pellets during initial testing on a 100 yard range. This is a very nice gun to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

Improving the trigger would be valuable.

    What others should know:

Plan on cleaning the barrel thoroughly before shooting. The trigger pull is long and takes some getting used to. As air guns go, this is a big gas piston gun and it moves around a lot when fired, so plan on experimenting to find the right hold. Equally important to the hold is the choice of pellet and again, you need to plan on experimenting with different pellets. For whatever reason, the 26gr Predator Polymag Hunter pellet works very well in this gun travelling absolutely straight at 100 yards. Other pellets that I tried went who knows where. Fortunately, there was nobody else at the range that day, so the strays were not an issue. The scope on this gun failed on the first day I shot it, but Pyramyd Air and Crosman arranged for an immediate replacement without any hassle.

I chronied with crossman ssp .177 and gamo gold pba, I topped out at 1637fps with crossman and gamo 1550, the weather was extremely cold just about freezing when it warms up I expect fps to go up and brake in period also I have a video on you tube of "gamo bone collector chronied" igt .177 bull whisper shooting gold pba at 1531 and 1468fps 30 degrees warmer. I used a Master chrony f-1 the Benjamin is a better gun but not by much I like this weapon alot and extraordinary power and accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

    Make lighter-

    Things I liked:

The look and the feel of the rifle. The power is outstanding. It make's for a really solid bench shooter. A great hunter if you use shooting sticks and you have a strong back.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much that I would change, other then the super long trigger pull, that you can get use to with practice. The gun is hold sensitive, so you have to try and maintain a good sight picture thought the squeezing of the trigger, but with practice the gun is capable of great accuracy.

    What others should know:

My gun loved most of the pellets that I shot though it. I do a lot of squirrel hunting, most shots between 20 to fifty yards. C.P.H.P. offed great accuracy, but most shots passed right threw the squirrels. crow magnum pellets transferred most of there energy into the target. I shot about ten squirrels, with my xl in 22 cal. The crow magnums would literally blow the squirrels out of the trees. the crosman hollow points would kill the squirrels, but they might get stuck in the tree if the don't fall out after they die. I can honestly say, when I was out hunting with my new toy, everything I shot at has found its way into my freezer.

    Things I liked:

I like this rifle very much. Smooth and balanced. The machining and fitting must be great to maintain such consistent shot grouping on a movable barrel. This is the first mill dot scope I've owned and I'm really happy with it.

    Things I would have changed:

I would have rated this rifle with five stars across the board if the trigger measured up to the quality of the over all rifle. I bought a Charlie DaTuna trigger, after replacing original, I now rate my Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 as complete five star.

    What others should know:

Charlie DaTuna triggers can be ordered on line for $33.00 total cost.

Shape and Fit of Stock, Sling, Weaver rail, Gas Ram

    Things I would have changed:

Fit and Finish leave a lot to be desired. This IS A CHINESE GUN AND IT SHOWS. Trigger as is well known is an ABOMINATION. Barrels on these guns are hit and miss, crowns are a joke, barrel lockup is a lottery.

    What others should know:

I recieved two of these rifles and both had blemished stocks. It is clear that these are being slapped together and thrown out the door without and Quality Assurance. PA rep was excellent and made the wise choice to consider an HW90. Not sure if I am going to roll the dice on a 3rd attempt, but its great to know that if I have a problem PA will stand behind their Money Back Guarantee.

the .22 cal. value for the money as good accuracy as the $400. to $500. dollar rifles. the .177 i have not found anything to inprove accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

a bit over wait.could loose a few pounds.

    Things I liked:

Very well built. Mine is 25 cal. Many people complain about the trigger, but it seems fine to me. For under $300 you can have fun, powerful 25 cal air rifle that does not need any source of air.

    Things I would have changed:

I found it difficult to get this air rifle to produce tight, consistent groups. I'm told one has to find the right pellets. I don't know if this is something Crosman can improve on. Perhaps it's too much to expect for an air rifle under $300.

    Things I liked:

Smooth, quiet and hard hitting! Sling is a must on these mag air guns for sure, the weight is just like carrying a shotgun yet balanced for good shooting. Loudest sound from my gun is the pellet hitting the target. If your going to get a gun for hunting, I would recommend this gun for sure! I honestly love this gun, so if you don't mind spending the money, this is the gun for you.

    Things I would have changed:

I would change the trigger if I were making this gun today.

    What others should know:

14.3 premiers in either round or hollow point shot the best for me, I have seen others say that the heavier pellets were the best but they were too heavy in my book. I added a leapers 4 x 16 scope and what a deadly package it is now! The trigger is a little funny, takes a bit to get use to it. I have not shot the ultra lite pellets in it yet but I do plan on it later and see how it shoots.

The fit and finish on these are good.Very backyard friendly with lead ammo.It is a heavy gun and it is full size, wouldn't recommend it for kids. The break barrel to breech lockup is solid and the picatinny rail mount is nice.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger could use some work but all in all a nice air rifle.

Needs heavy lead so I would buy it in .22 only

The triger pull not to nice,.

    What others should know:

When i first got it i thoad it was to heavy but after a while i ot used to it and is ok, at first it simed to be the worst airgun ive ever got till it setle and got to know her and the way she likes to be hold,if u want it to shoot accurate u have to be nice on the grip and hold right before the sheckered grip at the balance point and it will shoot single hole groups at 20 yards allday she dont like the bench at all altilary hold is best even if u using support, premiere hp,doomes and predators work really good ,,the trigger i fixed with a washer in the pin that moves the sear and now i have a crisp hair trigger i think thats ls wher my accuracy comes from .
