    Things I liked:

Very powerful air rifle. Very consistent velocity from shot to shot(verified by chrono). Thumbhole grip feels like it was measured just for me, not like some of the other generic guns. The hydraulic piston has lasted 4,000 plus shots and is still going. Picatinny rail keeps the scope in place unlike with other magnum springer guns. You don't have to pump it or mess with a scuba tank.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock trigger is awful. Changed mine to the Charlie da Tuna and couldn't be happier. Better seals for the piston ram and the breach. The scope only lasted about 300 rounds before I had to replace it.

    What others should know:

This was my first attempt at getting into the "serious" air gunning world. I live in the city and have to be very conscious of my background. I have the .22 caliber and have shot completely through a raccoon and the pellet almost passed through the fence behind it. After break in the rifle was very accurate for about 300 round and then patterned like a shotgun at 15 yards. Determined to fix the problem I recrowned the barrel, cut a lead into the breach, replaced the breach seal, lapped the barrel, replaced the nylon barrel washers with brass, upgraded to the Charlie da Tuna Trigger, and replaced the piston ram seal with a polyethylene upgrade. Come to find out the original piston ram seal was busted. After all that I have a very reliable rifle. Accuracy is good enough to net 34 critters in the back yard but I would not push that past 15 yards. JSB Jumbo Exacts are shot over the Chrono at an average of 748FPS which is plenty for 15 yards. If you are looking for that 1/2 inch group at 100 yards then spend the money on a PCP, the right optics, and match grade pellets. If you want something for 15 yards and don't want to pump up your gun or mess with an air tank then get this one.

    Things I liked:

Gun shoots very hard and is accurate as long as the scope holds up.

    Things I would have changed:

Put a better scope on it. I have been through 2 of the centerpoint scopes. They will not take the recoil of the gun. The crosshairs keep spinning inside the scope.

    What others should know:

I have sent the scope back 2 times and hope the third one will hold up longer. If I had it to do over again I would buy the gun by itself and then order a better scope.

    Things I liked:

I like the Quality of the air rifle. Very impressed. The reason I purchased the Benjamin 22 cal. Air rifle was because my Uncle had purchased the 177 cal in the same model and He let me shoot it and I come to think that I would be happier with the 22 cal. But still was very impressed with his 177 cal.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope seemed a little cheap for the quality of the gun and the weight was pretty heavy. Thank god for the sling.

    What others should know:

I will let you know more when I receive my air gun and let you know of the accuracy.

    Things I liked:

Wow, this rifle is the bomb. I have a crossman venom in 22cal that I thought was pretty darn good, but this thing is more of everything most air gunners like. It punctured a 2 foot tall fire extinguisher at 25 yards! The venom puts a big dent in it, but the trail xl PUT A HOLE IN IT! The trail started grouping well after about 25 shots. Granted I cleaned the bore before firing the 1st shot.

    Things I would have changed:

Would be nice if it was a pound or so lighter and a little less cocking effort. It is quite a bit harder to cock than other less powerfull rifles(venom,regal,etc.). The trigger is like all the other benj, crossm triggers; it blows. Grt3 or washer fix really makes this gun shine.

    What others should know:

I was really surprised at how well it shoots with cheap cpum pellets 14.3 grn. It likes jsb ex jumbo heavy diabolo 15.89 and 18.13. The scope is pretty good and I won't upgrade for now, however based on other reviews it's possible that I will later. I sent back a different brand and exchanged for this rifle, thanks again to PA for their exceptional service to customers! Oh yeah, be carefull if shooting in your back yard with neighbors close, as this one is about as real looking as they get. Buy it for your collection, you'll love it!

    Things I liked:

I bought the 25 cal version and was impressed with the look, heft, and power.

    Things I would have changed:

Accuracy is very bad. I gave this rifle a fair shake...after 300 to 350 rounds...the gun still won't hold groups outside of 15 yards. I have cleaned it as recommended, used artillery hold, and everything else I can think of. Stock screws loosen up after 10 shots every time...lots of recoil. Scope has loosened up twice, even with the highly touted mount rail.

    What others should know:

I shot a friends 22 cal and it is pretty accurate. I don't recommend the 25 cal. I wanted a hunting rifle, but I can hit better with a slingshot.

Quality built with a decent scope and hefty enough to provide great stability when shooting!!

    Things I would have changed:

Not a big deal...would be nice to add the sling back in like I got with my .177 Caliber Benjamin Trail some time ago...

    What others should know:

I have shot several rounds of .25 JSB Exact King pellets and it did not take me long to zero in this rifle...at 25 yds it buries these pellets out of site in a 2x6 treated lumber board I just for target practice!! Awesome power!!

    Things I liked:

The power is amazing. I bought the .25 cal. I have a.177 crosman venom, I skipped the .22 and I'm glad I did. This thing is an absolute monster

    Things I would have changed:

the trigger. I knew this going into the purchase because everyone has mentioned it. It is truly a disappointment on crosman, I'm sure it would be an easy fix for them. I do plan on installing a new trigger here in the next few weeks

    What others should know:

    * just so you all know the sling was discontinued. it no longer comes with the gun.I didn't know this at time of purchase. pyramydair recommended this and I love it"GrovTec Rifle Sling, 48"x1", Padded Nylon, Black"

    Things I liked:

Great design, feels good in hold even when being on heavy side, scope is match up perfectly with rifle and welded mount make it accurate. Wooden stock have great finish with care full attention to detail. Powerful and very accurate break rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Does not include rifle sling when earlier ones do. Trigger is little hard to pull. After a little polishing job, a roller on bear trap pin and and adjusted spring. Makes it perfect rifle.

    What others should know:

It's not your beginner rifle. Need to know how to shoot with artillery hold to be accurate. Practice makes perfect.

    Things I liked:

seems to be a well built gun looks great feels good and shoots great once you find a pellet it likes.. the scope rail is great gives you a lot of movement of the scope to get it just in the right spot.. for a 25 cal gun its fairly quiet. the 25 cal pellet dose a great job knocking down most small pests. this gun will knock holes in 1/4 plywood with ease. the gun is a lot of fun to shoot once you find a pellet it likes. I have put over 400 pellets down the pipe and the number go's up daily.

    Things I would have changed:

the scope looks great really liked the mil radical but after about 75 shots it wouldn't hold a zero. so had to take it off and put a new scope on it.. super bummed that it broke the first day. my gun was super picky on the pellets some pellets I got over a 6 inch grouping @ 10 yards. and they were scattered all over the place.. mine seems to like crow magnum pellets @ 10 yards I had a group of 4 shots the were all in the same hole could cover the group with a penny. it was frustrating trying to zero the gun till I found the pellet it liked.. the trigger is garbage literally I can feel and hear the trigger creeping as I pull it. the first stage is super long and the second stage is not crisp at all. this trigger make the gun way harder to shoot accurately and for shooting small pests as well. to make a quickish shot end up jerking the trigger them I loose accuracy .. it is a bit hard to cock it but not bad for the power the gun has.

    What others should know:

in the instructions it states the it takes about 100 shots for the piston to get broke in and for it to get accurate. and they wernt kiddin it took easy 100 shots for it to start shooting well.

    Things I liked:

Just like advertised, after the breakin period the rifle shoots true. and the triger is crisp not as crisp as the gr3 but if you have trained with a springer this gun is a breaze to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

The finish on the stock could have been better. and the quality of the attachments could have been better the scope sticks when adjusting and the sling mounts came apart in a matter of days.

    What others should know:

For the price the quality of the attachments could have been better. It is a good gun. For the money it could have been much better. The action is great fit and finish could used some improvement. I have had good things to say about centerpoint scopes in the past but the one that came with this gun was junk.

    Things I liked:

+ Impressed with the first appearance quality of the stock and barrel. I immediately purchased the DaTuna replacement trigger based on other reviews. The new trigger is very tight compared to the stock trigger. Test fired a few shots (6) today and the shot accuracy so far repeatable. But, I need to shoot it more to ensure I don't have any fliers... + The scope mounts are robust and this scope is firmly attached. + the centerpoint scope appears well made and very adjustable with and adjustable objective and dial type vertical and horizontal adjustments. You won’t need a screwdriver for adjustments.

    Things I would have changed:

(-) It is loud. Loud like a .22 rimfire rifle loud. PA rated this at a 3-medium loudness. Well I would tell you it is more of a 3 high loudness rating. (?) the barrel is shrouded with an exterior shell giving it the appearance of a bull barrel but it is just a shell. If it is for noise reduction it doesn't work. A parts break down I found shows this shroud unthreads from the barrel. Perhaps I'll remove it after my warranty to ensure it is free of grime under the shroud. (-) I cleaned the rifle barrel as suggested before I fired the first shot and was surprised and disappointed at what came out of the barrel. Black grime with small flecks of black specks. It took several attempts to clear out all of the grime. Appears it is left over from the machining process. Why can't Crosman send a rifle that is cleaned and ready? I replaced the trigger based on recommendations on this website and I am hoping this will ensure consistent & accurate shots. But, why can't Crosman provide a better quality trigger from the start. $300 should buy you a clean and accurate well machined quiet rifle made in the USA.

    What others should know:

Did I tell you it is loud? Louder than I expected and I have shot numerous air rifles. This is my first gas piston and previous rifles were all spring piston. Perhaps that's why it is loud. I need to be very careful shooting this in my yard or my neighbors will likely call the cops because of the noise. Crosman needs to come up with a clean, quiet, powerful, precision product made in the USA for the same price line. The DaTuna trigger replacement was easy. Just followed the instructions exactly as written. More review to come after I find a place I can shoot more shots through it.

this rifle is first of all it is affordable for the average person...its very powerful to be a break barrel. it very accurate with a pellet it likes once your scope is correctly zeroed..its really very quiet..its a quality air rifle and lots of fun to shoot...

    Things I would have changed:

it would be nice to a have a weaver rail on the bottom of the rifle for mounting a quality bipod...other than that i really don't have anything negative to say about this rifle.

    What others should know:

it is a bit on the heavy side but if you like a nice sturdy feeling rifle you will like this..it is hold sensitive so practice with this rifle before trying to hunt with it....having said that it took me no time to get very nice groups with this rifle...it really is a great gun....enjoy.

    Things I liked:

I love everything about this airgun except the trigger but I fixed that. I know any modification to this gun voided the warranty but if you can't hit what you're shooting at its worthless anyway. This gun Is a very accurate shooter and a very hard shooting gun. I own 5 air rifles a RWS model 52, a RWS model 460 magnum, a Gamo Socom Extreme, a Benjamin Trail NP and this one. The regular NP shoots smoother but not near as hard As this gun. The RWS's are top shelf in quality and accuracy but neither shoot as hard as the NP XL. The Gamo Socom Extreme shoots very hard but nowhere near the accuracy of all the rest. This gun is not as loud as the springers but its not quite either. The regular NP is very smooth and quite.

    Things I would have changed:

    That awful trigger

    What others should know:

I'm over 50 years old and have been a air gunner all my life and this maybe the best overall gun I have ever owned. Keep check on the screws in the forearm because I put loc tite on them and the still come loose after Bout 1000 shots and when this happened the accuracy was all over the target at 40 yards. I tightened them back up and now it's back to shooting 1 inch groups at 40.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Powerful, accurate, much easier to charge than some others led me to believe (in .177, anyway). This is primarily due to the long barrel, in my opinion. I found it to be much easier to charge than some of the other reviews stated, but I'm also 6'3", 250 lbs, and in fairly good shape so that may make a difference... For the money, it's awesome. There are better guns out there, though - but you'll pay twice the cash for a gun that's less than twice as capable. This is the first air rifle I've purchased, but I've shot those of friends and family (quite a variety over the last 20 years) and this seemed the best combination of performance vs price. I basically wanted something I could shoot at my local 50-yard range, hunt small game, and shoot in my backyard without pissing off my neighbors. This foots the bill nicely.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger - it's ridiculous, especially if you're used to powder-burners. Some of my target rifles (.22 powder-burners) have triggers that break at 1.5 lbs with nearly no travel (around 1 mm), so this is a HUGE break from the ordinary for me. None of the adjustments available seem to do much at all. Fortunately, it's easily swapped out. This is not at all unusual for any rifle, so I wasn't disappointed or surprised, but rifles with upgraded or better-quality triggers are available - why not offer an upgraded version?? Weight - I know that it needs to be heavy to keep recoil down, but 11-ish lbs with a good scope is bordering on too heavy for extended carrying (hunting)... Consider this more of a wish than a complaint, though.

    What others should know:

The first shot will sound like a cannon going off, but it will get quieter from there. It's just the dieseling effect, burning the shipping lube or whatever. Once the lube burns off (2 shots for me), you'll notice it gets a lot more quiet. I am currently shooting RWS Superdomes and they work pretty well. They are a little lighter than I wanted (a touch less than 9 grains, if I remember correctly), but that's the heaviest I could get on short notice. They work pretty well, but have flyers here and there. They also don't group as well as I would like (2" 15-shot groups at 45' with the bulk of the hits being in a 1.5" area - shooting unsupported prone). I'm sure a bench would help a lot in getting that group down, but it's still being broken in with less than 300 shots so far. I have some heavier pellets on the way (10.35-ish grain), so I'll update once I have tested with them. According to all the other reviews, this is right in the middle of the ideal pellet weight range, so I figured it's a good place to start. Also, don't get let down if it isn't immediately "match-grade accurate". I noticed that my groups decreased by almost 50% within the first 250-ish shots as things started getting broken in. I have no doubt that this will continue for the next few hundred shots, too, as I get to know the rifle better and it finishes breaking in.
