Fast,accurate and an upgrade from competitors crossbow that I traded away.

Great bow shoots smooth ,very fast and accurate cocking decoding strap frayed within first 25 shots was fixed in 3 days

I can say without a doubt that the nitro 505 is an amazing piece of engineering. I bought a new xzero scope for my old recurve crossbow back in may. Right away I noticed the old crossbow could not measure up to the technology of the awesome new scope. I needed a crossbow to match the capabilities of the scope. Then I saw the tenpoint 505 with the same scope. Wow what a perfect match. The combination of speed, power, versatility. Nothing is perfect. I did have some problems setting up the scope and the weight of the crossbow is a bit more than I expected but I am over all pleased with my purchase.

My concerns are more of a system issue than a quality issue with the crossbow. The large diameter of the requisite bolts limits broad head options. The blades on some mechanicals start to deploy as you tighten the head into the insert because of the large diameter bolt. I am also seeing premature serving ware on the string where it captures the bolt nock(less than 40 shots). It is very accurate and blazing fast. I appreciate the cock/de-cock feature immensely. It is vastly superior to the other 500FPS crossbow I tried. Great Crossbow!

I just purchased this bow a month ago, I sighted it in as instructed. It’s so fast and accurate. My ten year old grandson can cock it with ease. I have harvested two does with it, they didn’t have a chance to flinch before the arrow was through them. My brother just went and bought one for himself. What sold me on the bow was the safety in cocking and uncocking system. The rest is an amazing bonus.

Fantastic. Great crossbow, great company. Already thinking I wouldn’t mind still using this during gun season. Beautifully accurate.

The 505 is everything it is advertised to be. Fast & accurate. Love the decocking & easy ro cock.

I purchased this bow a couple of months back now, I have to say it is an engineering master piece I have never experienced a bow with so much power and speed the build quality is second to none,with all of Tenpoint’s instructional videos gave me the confidence to load de-cock maintain and shoot my bow very safely this is my first tenpoint bow I own a Ravin r29 and several other but the nitro 505 outshines the rest with ease my first tenpoint purchase it won’t be the last absolute masterpiece of a bow.

CAN'T make a quicker & accurate crossbow, after purchasing a vengent s 440 2 years ago & how satisfied I was & impressed with it I couldn't wait to get my hands on a 505 nitro .. After checking out the competition & seeing it brought in for repair convinced me of which one to buy. After taking a nice buck opening day sure made a believer out of me.

Very disappointed the acuslide gear broke after about 50 practice shots.

Have not been able to get it to shoot an accurate group since I bought it 8 weeks ago. Have had it back for service 2x. My old Ten point was more accurate.

I absolutely love my 505. It is very accurate, smooth and fun to shoot. What sold me the most was the decocking feature, to me that means less overall wear with not gaveing to fire it to decock.

Gets shakey past 90 yrds. Speed is incredible. Serving is weak and needs strengthening. Overall great system. Increase accuracy with stiffer arrows.

I have owned and shot many types of bows and crossbows. I am an avid bow hunter (not the occasional weekend hunter) and now only hunt with a crossbow due to my injuries from an accident. I have owned 5 crossbows in the past 15 years and now purchased another one. This is my second TenPoint crossbow. TenPoint is the go to company for crossbow quality, reliability, and excellent customer service. I am happy to say I now own the fastest crossbow made by TenPoint...The Nitro 505. This crossbow has all the features an avid hunter will ever need. You don't need to buy the top model nor the fastest model to be satisfied. Compare the features and quality like I did of the TenPoint models to the "other companies." I am sure you will like their product design and testing that goes into each model. Regardless if you are an occasional hunter or an avid hunter. Why settle for less than you deserve for your hunting experiences will be much more enjoyable when you don't have to worry about your gear.

I just purchased my Nitro 505 due to a shoulder injury, my age, and projected need to hunt deer. I've followed the directions in the "Acuslide Series Owner's Manuel" and practiced with a target that can handle 500 ft. per second bolts. While sighting in my crossbow, one arrow did get buried up to the nock (only one at 20 yards). There's a nice yellow spray-paint spot to remind myself not to shoot in that spot again because I couldn't get it out. I'm not worried about it, I just smiled knowing that the accuracy of this crossbow allows me to not be concerned. As I moved the target out 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 yards, I was impressed at the accuracy in my shooting (as if it were me). It felt like I was shooting a 20 yard shot each time. I've been in the woods and was surprised to use the scope with the green and red light features (first time for me). Wow, green was great in the morning and red in the evening. If only this bow could serve me a cup of coffee, cream and no sugar. I can't wait to get my first deer with this Nitro 505.

I have two other Ten Point Crossbows - one being the first year Ten Point ever sold them. Bought a Nitro 505 at Fin feather Fur. No one at the store went over anything on the bow with me. Got home, there was something wrong with the bow. Returned for a new one.

Fast , Balanced , accurate , quiet and pretty to look at doesn’t get any better than that

Really impressed on speed and accuracy. So easy to cock and de-cock. Only down side is finding a target to stop the arrows before the vanes.

I had a Nitro maybe 4 or 5 years old, didn’t think it get any better, I was wrong. The 505 is an outstanding piece of craftsmanship

Buying this bow is a definite way to spoil yourself. Really like the cranking cocking feature and de-cocking feature.
