I really like the attention to detail and how the sights are just like the real one. Very accurate and the magazine is easy to load.
Things I would have changed:I would like the magazine to hold more than 15 rounds
What others should know:Blow back action is very realistic.

Fun plinking. You can get three full magazines with one gas bottle. The sights are easy to use and teach a youngster proper sight alignment and sight picture.
Things I would have changed:The wood stock was a disappointment. I was expecting a fully grained wood stock, similar to the Springfield Armory M14 pellet rifle I bought. This wood shows zero grain and is stained a dark blood red/brown color. If I had it do do over again I would save my $100 and go with the plastic stock.
What others should know:Magazine holds 15 BBs, despite what some reviews has said. This is not a target rifle. It is a plinker. The sights have no vertical adjustment so you must experiment at different ranges to see where to place the target in relation to the front post sight. The windage adjustment is fine. I found 50 feet the maximum effective range and put the post at the six o'clock of the bullseye.

Nice looks, good replica.
Things I would have changed:Top front stock cover is loose, rattles, takes away from the overall feeling and warmth of the rifle. Insure rifle parts do not rattle or are loose.
What others should know:Misfires easily, in my first run about every 5 shots fails to load a BB, having to constantly have to recharge the handle to continue firing. Distracting to say the least.

It's authentic and I can shoot it across the house. I like it enough that I had to buy the wood stock model. Now we have two.
Things I would have changed:I would like to see a fully adjustable rear sight. But it's not that important. I don't expect to shoot flies with it. I have other rifles for that.
What others should know:Buy one and have fun. After all that's what it was built for!

The overall look and feel of the replica is very close to the original. I owned an original carbine manufactured by Inland and this replica is hard to distinguish from the original from a few feet away. I was very surprised at how accurate the rifle was when I first shot it with no adjustments having to be made to the sight. The ability to make elevation adjustments when shooting longer distances would be very welcome. I could only give an overall rating of 4 although I thought the accuracy was excellent.
Things I would have changed:The magazine and the rear sight are the things I would change. First, the magazine leaves a lot to be desired especially for as much as this air rifle cost. There have been problems reported with the magazine almost from the beginning. Of course, the magazine malfunctioned when the warranty expired, prior to that it functioned very well. I hope that Air Venturi has finally fixed the problem of the spring jumping out of the track. The rear sight is a wish item. The sight should have an elevation adjustment also for longer distance shooting.
What others should know:Be extremely careful in filing the magazine with BB's. If you are not careful and the follower snaps back the spring will jump out of the track leaving you without the use of your carbine unless you were wise enough to order a spare. I wasn't and am now with the use of my carbine until I can get a replacement magazine.

Extremely accurate at close to medium range. At about 20-25 feet, I could pack a very tight group at around an inch in diameter. The faux wood also looks incredibly realistic to the real deal. I would highly recommended just buying the faux wood to save a hundred bucks since it looks real anyways.
Things I would have changed:The only thing about this gun that I think could be improved on is the weight and feel of the faux wood model. I understand that since it isn't real wood, you're going to lose some weight there, but when I pick it up, the weight is too light and feels strangely out of place with the realism I was hoping for. The faux wood also feels like plastic which always raises a red flag with me concerning quality and realism considering how much I've spent on it.

This is a pretty much spot on replica of the M1 carbine, weighs about the same as the real thing (i have one). fairly accurate and fun to shoot. Heck a real bayonet fits perfectly even! I opted for the wood stock version, not disappointed.
Things I would have changed:Mine functioned fine right out of the box for the first 50 or so shots then the magazine malfunctioned, not user repairable. I contacted Pyamid and they quickly sent me a new magazine which also malfunctioned by leaking air from the top of the CO2 cylinder fitting. Tried lubing the neck of the CO2 with Pell Gun oil, no joy, still leaks. Have contacted the company and am awaiting an answer. FIX THE MAGAZINE!
What others should know:They will make a nice display piece on your wall while waiting for a magazine problem resolution.

Everything seems to meet manufacturers claims. Replica details very good down to a rotation in the bolt during rearward movement. Overall function as a fun plinker is very good. My backyard range is set up for about 45 feet. Using Daisy zinc coated BBs the rifle will sometimes penetrate one side of a soup can so I believe it is making at least 425 fps. Accuracy is also good and consistent at this range, shoots decent groups for what it is and will hit small plastic aspirin bottles consistently so you can actually use it to keep up your firearm skills. Trigger is good enough to not hinder shooting pleasure. Rifle shot slightly left but I was able to adjust the rear sight (windage) to correct. There is no elevation adjustment but the rifle did not require any. CO2 and BB load work fine, as does the magazine insert and release.
Things I would have changed:It would be nice to be able to replace the rear sight with an original sight. I have not tried this, but I do not believe the mounting set up is the same as the actual M1 Carbine firearm.
What others should know:I purchased and highly recommend the wood stock. I believe it adds significantly to the replica feel, look and owner satisfaction.

I really like this m1,but I have 2 issues #1, top of stock is loose #2, the magazine has burr in the slide the prevents me from loading bb's, if I use a small screwdriver I can sometimes get the catch to slide past the burr im just disappointed that my m1 has these issues

Good look and feel of a real M1 carbine.
Things I would have changed:Make Rear sight adjustable for elevation also. And the magazine needs a total redesign.
What others should know:The magazine are still a problem. I was told by pyramid air that the problem was taken care of with them but they werent. They still have plastic followers. Although the follower didnt break on mine yet, the spring did pop out on it though and it twisted it up so bad that it will not push BBs to the top of the magazine. Also the CO2 was slowly leaking in it. They sent me a used magazine because they didnt have any new ones in stock. I told them to inspect it before they sent it. And when I got it it had a broken follower. I was still able to use it but it leaked also. So I had to try four different cartridges until I found one that seem to not leak. And that was a daisy CO2 cartridge. They told me they would send me a brand new magazine when they Were back in stock again. We will see if the new ones are upgraded or not. I also bought a M4 bayonet Which fits good on the gun. Dont buy those cheap Chinese ones Because most of them dont fit. I bought a1958 Italian made M4 bayonet online.

I opted for the wood stock. It was very nice but not having seen the faux wood plastic stock I can not say if it is worth even close to $100. The rifle is well constructed and the fit is quite good. I like that the loading gate has a catch so that you pull the spring and lock it back while you load the BBs. It sure would be nice on the MP40 which takes 40 BBS. I was surprised at the accuracy. I have not shot paper targets but I have the 1/5th size silhouettes and can hit them all at 10yrds and the Ram and Havalina at 20yrds regularly. I gave it a 4 for value for money because the $100 for the wood stock was steep and it did not come with the web sling. I gave it a 4 for accuracy because it will not stand up to target grade rifles but I think it is quite godd and better than expected for a replica BB gun.
Things I would have changed:It sure would be nice if they made a place to keep the Allen wrench which is necessary to remove and install the CO2 cartridge. I happen to have a wide 1" rubber band that fit around the magazine and I keep it there. It would be nice if there was a bayonet available even if it had a rubber blade. OH, it should come with the "IMA WWII M1 Carbine Web Sling and Steel Oiler" that is sold for $17 extra.
What others should know:I get about 40 rounds per CO2. Actually the power runs out at about 36 but it is good right up to when it isn't and the performance and sound it quite obvious. It did not like the copper BBs and would jam. Now it isn't a precision machine and will double load on the first racking of the bolt if you are hap hazard or if you try to be easy and not allow it to slam home. It just takes opening the action and turning upside down to allow the extra BB to fall out.

I was happy to get it out of the box, but then my simile turned up side down. The first problem was the mag well built but the Co cartridge leak a lot when install it in to the mag. I even bought a second mag at the same time as the air rifle and had the same problem. I am a problem solver so I went to the garage and got a ratchet with the same size alen so I would have a faster turn rate one the locking bolt. After 20 or so cartridges it finally worn in and the air leak problem stopped. The second problem was that the stock sights could not hit the side of a barn. I removed them and back to the garage and with a side grinder cut a grove were the old sight was and installed a red dot sight. So fare I have run over a 1000 bb's through it, and now I am happy.
Things I would have changed:The stock sights have only windage no up and down adjustment. Get ride of them and cut groves in the rear were the stack sight was and install a red dot sight. The alen key that came with it is to short to tighten fast enough to stop the Co from leaking out, so get a bigger one for more leverage. After 20 or so cartridges it will be easier and the leaking will stop.
What others should know:When more you use it after a 1000 rounds and 40 cartridges it will were in and be a better rifle, just take time with it.
