I love this revolver! Weight is very close to the real thing. The nickel finish is flawless and looks more like a real firearm than any replica I've ever seen. Everything works just like it should. The allen wrench in the grip is a neat touch; nothing to get lost. Superb trigger. Exceptional engineering. I wish the original Colts and now Rugers had kept the longer army grip!

I hope they decide to produce a rifled barrel, pellet version. I will purchase that in a heartbeat. The simulated bullets should be lead colored, not dull coppery color. Bullets weren't copper clad when these revolvers were made.

Buy lots of CO2 cartridges. You'll use them. I am going to purchase the belt and holster that Pyramid had the great sense to offer.

This gun is awsome in every way. Looks great blued, feels great in hand. shoots accuratly and is a blast to shoot.

This one was a gift. I have several already. Would like to see Umarex a little more aggressive in making variations ,like other barrel lengths and grip options. Nickel shells would be nice as well. If it were me , I would have an R&D team working a night shift on lever action rifles to go with it, also using the same cartridges.

This is great! It is the most fun thing I have ever gotten. I got two of them and the gun belt and holsters to go with them. They are not toys. The gun belt and holsters were just in my price range, they are great also. I installed snaps to hold the holsters in place when I an taking them off or putting the on. They are just what I wanted, when I was 3 years old!

The Colt Peacemaker is every thing I expected it to be and then some. When you first open the box the first thing you notice is the Blueing and shine to the pistol. When you hold the Colt in your hand you can feel the realizim of the pistol its weight and attention to detail is great.most of all the Colt Peacemaker is fairly accurate and fun to Shoot

Stock up on extra BB cartriges I bought 2 Extra packs wich gives me 18 total cartridges to have loaded with BB and ready to put into My Colt. I whent all out and bourght the leather holster and belt to belt.

If the hammer won't sit flush, you can not draw and fire it like a true Colt.45. Years ago Hahn had a very good facsimile without this deficiency. It also was balanced and weighted like a Colt. Why can't they manage this?

Buy the blue or chrome version. These are my favorite air guns. You cant go wrong with either choice!

I purchased (2) of these to practice gunfighter cowboy action (shooting pistol in each hand simultaneous). No leaks. Fit & feel are really good. Well built. Weight and feel are like the real thing. They even fit my holsters well. Not quite as tight as the real thing but still very good. Accuracy/grouping is not very precise @ 10yrds but with a steady aim will hit a pop can 99%. I'm using Copperhead BBs and have 12,000 of them. I've read reviews on other BB guns stating Crossman BBs improve accuracy. The guns are Perfect for what I'm using them for. Simulating CAS, big targets @ 10yrds. Haven't counted shots per co2 but got to be close to (60)-(70) and probably more. I've shot at least few hundred now with no issues.

It might be a regulation, but get rid of the safety. Once I switched to "fire" I will never use again. That's what the Hammer is for.

I purchased (24) extra shells but found out with a little practice they are quite easy to load without removing the shells. Pour BBs in a small bowl, grab a BB in the tips of your thumb and fore finger and insert. I took a shell out of each gun and load them like the real CAS. Load (1), skip (1), load (4), cock and let the hammer down on a empty cylinder. Try different brands of BBs to compare accuracy before you do like I did and buy 12,000 of one brand (Copperheads).

I am a beginning beginner at Cowboy Action Shooting. This Colt is ideal to practice drawing, presenting the gun and shooting. This Colt replica fits in the holster I use for my New Model Vaquero. I load the little cartridges the way another reviewer suggested, put BB's in a tray and press down upon them. Much easier than fumbling for each BB. Also I put a drop of pricey silicone oil, as suggested by the manual, on the tip of the CO2 cartridge before installing.

Be nice if the hammer rested all the way down, but I expect that would take some serious redesign.

This gun caught my eye the moment I saw it. It is as beautiful in hand as it is on line, or actually more so. It's weight and feel closely approximate the original. Truly eye catching, and the workmanship thus far appears to be excellent.

I would like this gun to be more powerful. I understand that there is a limit to how powerful it can be, given the source of power, but even comparing it to other air pistols I have of similar power, it feels a little under powered. Additionally, it's not as accurate as I'd like. Not terrible, but my expectations were higher.

In spite of the things I'd change, this gun is beautiful, and I would buy it again. As a matter of fact, It is highly likely that I will buy the nickel version.

My wife and I are Cowboy shooters and use the gun to practice in the back yard. The feel and action are similar to our Ubertis. Though the accuracy is not great it is good enough for the distance and targets we shoot at. I bought one to try and a few days later I ordered a second one since two pistol are necessary in Cowboy competition.

For my purposes no changes are necessary.

Buy extra cartridges. You can never have enough bullets.

They are addicting , I have 2 blue ,2 nickel , 1 US Marshal version ,gave one blue and one nickel as gifts ,will be getting a pr of nickel ones for my wife and her twin sister

This gun is absolutely fantastic, just a total blast to shoot. This gun is a thing of beauty, well made, if you all ways wanted a Colt single action army but could not afford a real one 2000.00+ this is your chance to come as close as I've ever seen. Now all I need is the holster and the gun belt and I'll be all set to reenact the gun fight at the OK corral LOL. This gun and the other Umarex Legends series P08, M712 are guns that you will want to pass on to your children and grandchildren. I can't wait to see what Umarex comes up with next.

Small item. As some people have pointed out the hammer when resting does not close all the way. I would still give this gun a 9.9 rating

Accuracy, but it is a smooth barrel gun

Wow! Very close to an original Colt peacemaker, Love the way you load the bb's with what looks and feels like a real cartridge. Great for teaching young people on loading and safety. Please Note it is also very accurate.

I like the attention to detail that went in to the manufacture of this revolver. This BB replica is almost indistinguishable from the original firearm. The full functionality of the revolver make it a real joy to shoot. The accuracy is reasonably good too.

I would like to see a dark wooden grip accessory for this revolver.

I shot the following BBs both bench rested and off hand at a distance of 18 feet (5.5 meters) to target: Crosman Copperhead, Umarex Precision Steel, Daisy Premium, Daisy Avanti, Firepower Gold, Marksman, and Cybergun / Swiss Arms. My accuracy is probably not as good as the gun is capable of. I did have some trouble focusing on the sights as I aimed at the target. Most 6 shot groups were under 3". Most of my best 5 shot groups were no larger than 2".

This colt is about as close to the real gun as you can get. Accuracy is spot on. 2inch groups at 21 ft. I get around 90 shots per co2 cylinder.

I would like to see wood grips.

The only gripe I have is why did colt go with 357 cal. shells when this gun is a 45cal. The barrel says colt SAA 45.Also the grips are made of soft plastic & they scracth easy.

The weight, feel, fit and finish of this gun is very impressive. It is an extremely convincing replica of the original Colt weapon. Especially when considering the modest price of the replica, every component is remarkably high quality. Loading the BB's into the back of cartridges that are then placed into the cylinder for firing by means of the loading gate just adds to the realism of the replica. I had a Crosman single action Colt probably over 50 years ago. That replica has been long lost to time and I have always regretted losing it and have been on the look out for a Colt replica for many years. Fortunately, Umarex recreated the Colt in a vastly superior model. I am very pleased with the gun and highly recommend it.

The gap between the hammer and the frame of the gun is certainly a slight deviation from the scale appearance of the gun. I assume that the gap is necessary for the correct and safe operation of the C02 gas valve. I am sure Umarex tried very hard to not have that gap. It does not affect the operation of the gun in any way except for when using the holster and practicing fast drawing of the gun. I find that my thumb catches on the top portion of the hammer that is created by the gap between the hammer and the frame. I have had to modify my drawing motion to not catch the top portion of the hammer. I would also like a louder report when the gun is fired. This is purely an aesthetic request. All of my other airguns provide a louder, more satisfying report when fired. This gun has the softest report of all my other airguns.

All potential buyers should keep in mind that this is a smooth bore BB gun. I have many other guns that use either .177 or .22 cal pellets and have rifled barrels. The most accurate use a single charge from a pneumatic piston for each shot. This provides a consistent charge behind each shot and outstanding accuracy. C02 pressures, which vary substantially from shot to shot, plus the non-rifled barrel using BB's relegates this gun to less accurate shooting. This does not bother me in the least, for that is not the purpose of this gun. This is a unique and remarkable replica of one of the most iconic of all handguns and should be enjoyed with that thought in mind.

Looks, size, weight and feel of a real Peacemaker. Just like the real ones I have owned, just cheaper to shoot.

I would add a allen wrench, attached to a thong to hang on gun belt, to use instead of the one on the left grip. For people who are a little less gentle I don't know how long the grip will last. It works fine now, but for how many years.

Very nice gun and I really like the nickle plating. Would recommend to anyone who is looking.
