    Things I liked:

Very accurate from a rest. Dime sized groups from 40 ft. Ease smooth cocking with NP. Quiet after 150 shots. Now neighbors dogs don't go ballistic. Nice wood finish and good overall material quality. Would have preferred the camo stock but had to watch the budget. Decent scope that hold position over 500 shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger stages are not tactile. You guess when the sear releases. May go for the GRT III later. Would prefer longer stock but will adapt grip and shoulder fit.

    What others should know:

Used the Pyramyd 10 shot for $10 to ensure the trigger didn't totally suck.

    Things I liked:

Great weight and ballance for a "do all" rifle. Light enough for the field. Heavy enough for accuracy /steadyness. Plenty of power for most hunting/pest controljobs! Quality "feel" through cocking and fireing cycle. It's quiet! It measured within 1db of the Stoeger x20S in my test. No spring noise for the shooter to here either. Love the weaver rail and sling set-up. These upgrades should become standard on all air rifles! Scope is very decent. Fit and finish is as good as I've seen on guns costing 200% more. The wood has a "warm" feel to it. Checkering and engraving is nicely done too. Pyramyd service was excellent. Had my rifle in less than 48 hours!

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger wasn't the worst I've felt but not the best easier. Fortunatly it's fixable with an inexpensive aftermarket choice. The wood could use some color and grain. It's uniformly finished but "bland" as a popsicle stick.

    What others should know:

This gun will shoot 14.3gr pellets very consistantly in the low 700's. It likes 12.65gr silverbears and spits them @ 755+/- 6.5 fps. It takes 100-200 pellets for this gun to settle in for accuracy. Well worth the wait. It's a keeper even if you have "better" rifles in your rack. Yes, I would buy another despite owning air arms, HW , Beeman, RWS.....

    Things I liked:

Nitro Piston , can leave it cocked long time without damage to spring. Looks good with shrouded barrel, decent finish. Hand hole is nice.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer with iron sights and no scope.. the scope was ok at first then became off center very easily and had to be adjusted before every use. No lock on scope adjustments which doesn't help. Offer with better trigger option from PA.

    What others should know:

Trigger is not that great . Its too heavy , power seems to vary, can be very loud at time. Hard time getting tight groups many flier, tried many holds and distances only can shoot good (less than 1" groups) at 30 ft. . Hard to break the barrel and cock , especially with the large scope in the way and weight of the gun. Strap is worthless and gets in the way unless your doing long distance trips on foot. . The scope as it is not that great I had to tune it ever-time I used the gun.I returned my gun for a rws 34 with t06 trigger.

    Things I liked:

This gun is quiet, very quiet and powerful. The weight is substantial, as a big bore rifle. This gun is proportioned for adults and has good balance. The scope is excellent. Adjustments are clearly marked and settings return the target group to zero after movement.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

Out of the box accuracy improves with use. I plan to molly polish the bore after the first 200 rounds.

    Things I liked:

the weight and feel is excellent. good scope for the money. the break action has a good feel, real beefy.the 10 for 10 is worth the money.

    Things I would have changed:

first things first the trigger has to go. feels like a real bad shotgun trigger not a rifle. i ordered a GRTIII.and needs to be made in the U.S.A.

    What others should know:

great rifle for the money . i would buy another one . i would recommend it to everyone geting in to air rifles. got my dad into the benjamin trail np.he is also very satisfied with his . he also replaced the trigger too.GRTIII

    Things I liked:

Excellent solid craftsmanship. Very well balanced scope and mount, a plus, compared to other manufacturers for same price range. This is a good hunting rifle out of the box. Will need to see after a tune up what the potential really is.

    Things I would have changed:

Extremely looong creeping trigger. Replaced with GRT-III and is now very nice to use. Get a glare in the scope. Not sure what that is. Approximately 1 inch groups avg. with C.P.H. at 25 yards.

    What others should know:

Accuracy seems to fluctuate. Noticed zero changes and shoots high at first and comes down after about 10 shots back to center; 10 days in a row so far. Groups tighten up after every cleaning of the barrel and you can see this especially with the Crosman Premier Hollow Point. Seems to need cleaning after about 60 shots. Gamo Hunter pellets do not fit very well; skirt protrudes slightly and will not fully seat.

    Things I liked:

This gun has a near perfect heft and balance for a field gun. Weight with (19 oz) CP scope and sling is 8.5#. CG of rig is nice at 4” forward of the trigger guard. Very quiet and smooth shooting right out of the box. No spring twang and recoil is low for a gun of this weight to power ratio. No Dieseling at all. Trigger was actually decent. Heavy first stage but reasonably crisp and predictable break. Scope was clearer and higher quality than I expected. Shroud diameter protects muzzle and aids in cocking. Weaver mount ROCKS and saves allot of $ and grief. ! Safety lever is in a good place! Sling is a very useful feature

    Things I would have changed:

Velocity, while respectable is overrated by a good 13% with 14.3 gr pellets. ( I know, what gun isn’t?) Wood: Finish is smooth but I’ve seen better color and grain on a popsicle stick! Even beach wood would be an improvement.

    What others should know:

Barrel was filthy. I gained 25 fps just cleaning it! Cocking force is stiff right from start due to gas ram. It's all of the advertized 33# effort or more. A little CLP on the cocking linkage joints helps allot here. Glad I didn’t buy the XL, The power, weight , length and cocking effort of this one is plenty to handle. Comes with a good padded monogrammed sling. Safety is not automatic so beware. Actual Chrono readouts after 30 break in rounds: H&N match 13.7gr, 691fps-14.67 ftlbs Beeman Crow mag HP 18.2 gr, 632 fps -12.24 ftlbs Beeman Silver Bear HP 12.65gr, 755 fps, 16.0 ftlbs Crossman Premier domed 14.3gr, 708 fps, 15.9 ft lbs

    Things I liked:

This Benjamn Trail Nitro Piston Hardwood Air rifle (22 cal) is not for the frail or young. When you pick it up, You know you have a mid weight gun. It feels like a 300 savage rifle. No light weight junk. Cocking effort is up there also. It will let you know you are cocking a real air rifle. Run 50 to 75 pellets thru the gun before you try to get tight groups. Do not hold the gun like someone is trying to take it from you. Rest it on your front hand and a light thumb hold in the thumb hole. And let me tell you the stock feels and seats in you chin great, A great feel. I changed the trigger pull with the screw that they have on the trigger, Yes you can adjust the trigger. Sure feels better. Enjoy the gun. It is a lot of gun for the money. And be careful because you or someone that wants to shoot this gun will get scoped . It has a recoil and hard hitting. Also try different weight and brands of pellets. Mine came with 500 and used them to break-in the gun, I think this is a great air rifle for all around fun and hunting. ENJOY!!!

    Things I would have changed:

I think for the money you cant change it. Stock oil in package would be ok so you could oil it up.

    What others should know:

This is not a toy!!!!!! Again this is a GREAT gun for the money!!!!!!

    Things I liked:

This gun has a near perfect heft and balance for a field gun. Weight with (19 oz) CP scope and sling is 8.5#. CG of rig is 3" forward of the trigger guard. Nice for artillery hold. Very quiet and smooth shooting right out of the box. No spring twang and recoil is low for a gun of this weight to power ratio. No Dieseling at all on mine either. Trigger was actually pretty decent. Heavy first stage but reasonably crisp and predictable break. No grittiness at all on this one. Scope was much clearer and higher quality than I expected. Shroud protects muzzle and aids in cocking. Weaver mount ROCKS and saves allot of $ and grief. ! Safety lever is in a good place! Had package at my door in 36 hours!

    Things I would have changed:

Honesty in specs! Velocity is a respectable 725fps/ w 12.65 silver bears before break-in but comes no where near 800 FPS with 14.3's at ( I got a consistant 705 fps.) Still plenty of power for critter control but decieving ( I know: they all lie!?)Wood: NIce finish and warm to the hand but I’ve seen better color and grain on a popsicle stick! It's "BLAH". Wish they still had the laminated version.

    What others should know:

Barrel was filthy out of the box. I gained 25 fps just cleaning it! Cocking force is stiff right from start due to gas ram design. (Glad I didn’t buy the XL.It would wear me out:-) Gas ram is SO much better than springs IMHO. ( I own 3 other spring guns.) Comes with nice a " Benjamin" monogrammed sling too. Safety is not automatic but nicely located. It likes lighter pellets like 12.65gr silver bears. (Only 3 fps deviation with these!) Too early for accuracy tests but I'm confident she's a shooter. Yes, I would buy another and I would buy it right here!

    Things I liked:

It's a far better gun than I am a shooter. I still can't believe what you get for the price. Perfect for an amateur like me. I did shim the back of the scope with aluminum foil like a previous person stated, and dropped in the CRT III trigger. Super quiet, very accurate, and loads of fun!

    Things I would have changed:

Get the GRT III trigger from charlie da tuna online! Don't be intimidated by the install, it is super easy, and the best cheap upgrade you'll ever find. Order it when you order the gun, you'll be glad you did.

    What others should know:

Beeman crow magnums work best so far, nice tight fit, and cut nice holes in paper targets. JSB diablo's are a tiny bit loose in comparison, but they seem to shoot just fine. Just stay above 18 grain.

Finish was better then I expected

    Things I would have changed:

Triger was bad so replaced it with a GTR-III.

    What others should know:

Abslutly no consistancy. First shot dead on next shut three ince off at 25 yards. Pellets will not seat properly in chamber therefore the barrel tends to shave a bit off the back of the pellet.on many shots. Is actuaaly too powerful for field target use and not nearly accurate enough. Sorry I went for the hype instead of buying a RWS break barrel. You need to recall this one Paramyd!!!!

    Things I liked:

$199.99 price is not bad and it came with 500 pellets

    Things I would have changed:

the trigger is horrible,a better trigger would really increase accuracy!

    What others should know:

the scope which comes with the rifle looks like a good one but really isn't very good. double vision

    Things I liked:

The scope mounting system. The scope doesn't move at all. Cocking is smooth. Really packs a wallop. Surprisingly quiet. Even quieter than my Bronco.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is not the best but not the worst either. Will put on a GRT III. Make this rifle available without a scope because the one included is not the best. Can't really complain about either for the price.

    What others should know:

Be sure to eat your Wheaties before taking this out for any amount of shooting. The cocking effort on mine comes in at 43 lb. not the advertised 33 lb. Maybe they put some extra nitrogen in it. Haven't run it thru a chrony yet.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

I absolutely love the noise reduction provided by the shrouded barrel. This is a very quiet hunting power air rifle. The nitro-piston is a very pleasant shooting experience and the recoil is dramatically reduced over an equal power springer. The craftsmanship if better than I expected for a $229 rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

The ambidexterous thumbhole stock looks better than it feels. I am a right handed shooter and the stock gets more and more uncomfortable on long shooting sessions. It is very nice though and light weight to carry and hunt with. The trigger is pretty bad... correction... really bad.

    What others should know:

I upgraded the trigger and prefer 3-9X40 optics which I also upgraded. Keep the barrel lock clean and lightly oiled. No grease! The barrel lock is tight and susceptible to contamination. If kept clean it is a very effective lock and provides a solid lock-up. With this rifle I am able to make a tennis ball dance at any range between 0 and 100 yards. I would rate accuracy much higher if the original trigger didn't stink so bad.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Compact, Not Too Heavy, It is Definitely Quiet. I have a Beeman R9,(a great gun) , but it is heavier, noisier, and not as handy size wise, and worse , I am afraid to leave it cocked for 20 or 30 minutes at a time between shots for fear I'll ruin it. With the Benjamin, none of these problems apply. It is accurate, easy to handle, and looks good too. I am shooting the Crossman Premier hollow points and they are doing well in this gun. Over all, I couldn't have made a better choice.

    Things I would have changed:

Just on the verge of being too hard to cock! Needs to be a little longer so the shooter has more leverage. Wouldn't want to add much weight though. It worries me some that it is made in China. But most airguns are made in other countries.

    What others should know:

I would advise purchasing a package deal with the carrying case and mounted scope It comes ready to shoot with just a few shots needed to put it right on the mark. I would also recommend using the $10 service offered to shoot 10 shots through your new rifle before it is shipped to be sure it is operating like it should and checks the velocity too. Thank you Pyramyd Air!

    Things I liked:

I like the feel & balance. A little heavy. Finish & workmanship is great. Cocking the gun after about 100 rounds made my 68 year old arm tired but still love it. Good optics range.

    Things I would have changed:

I'm still trying to figure out how to stablize the scope. It rotates to an X position. After 1st 5 rounds the cross hairs started rotating counterclock wise. Retighten after almost every shot. Took off rings & put several note stickem's on each bracked. Slowed it but still moving. Do i glue it?? so accuracy remains to be seen.

    What others should know:

Great deal for the money. Noise is minimum. Still shooting 3" circles but aiming for chipmonks so I need to fix scope or replace. Then the value is normal if I have to do that.

    Things I would have changed:

trigger, better engineering on the barrel lock up very poor. Gun is very inaccurate after short period of time. Using a laser attached to the barrel keeps the accuracy very good. Do not depend on the scope because the barrel does not lock up consistantly in the same place. Proven by the laser.

    What others should know:

I bought this gun and put the Tuna trigger on it as soon as I tried a few shoots through it. I returned he gun 3 times because it was so inaccurate. After 3rd gun I attached a laser to the barrel and found the barrel was not locking in the same position each time. The cross hairs on scope would not line up with the laser. I wrote crosman they said Iamseing barrel droop. This happens after awhile. This happened to me after 50-100 rounds on each gun.

    Things I liked:

After the break in period it is VERY quiet. Plenty accurate and powerful enough for hunting.

    Things I would have changed:

It is very heavy. The scope is good for the money, but I will probably put a better one on. Mine had a long break in period. The trigger takes some getting used to.

    What others should know:

I've been using mine for about 6 months now. At first I hated it because it was very loud and very inaccurate. However, after about 1000 shots it settled down nicely. It is remarkably quiet. In my opinion is as quiet as shutting (not slamming) a front door. It sounds loud when you are firing it, but stand three feet away and it is amazing. I get 3/4 inch groups at 30 yards. It might get better groups if I was a better marksman. The power is impressive. Large entrance and exit wounds on squirrels. It is too heavy for me to shoot accurately offhand. The scope is serviceable. My only complaint with the scope is that it is not very bright. The gun is worth a $200 scope and that is what I plan on putting on it. The trigger was difficult to get used to at first. Mine was long and muddy. After 1000 shots it settled down to "OK" but not great. Will probably upgrade it. Over all this is a must buy. It is becoming my favorite gun.

i have over 500 pellets through it and theres still no accuracy. seems extremely hold sensitive as well. really wish i bought the discovery and kind of kicking myself. going to chance scopes and run another 500 pellets through it, if its still shooting horrible then im call crosman. spent to much to have a non accurate gun. tried every hold as well and none are working
