    Things I liked:

I like the fit and finish of the rifle. The accuracy is by far the best I have ever shot and I have had several air rifles. The .25cal is the best I have ever owned. Use Benjamin or JSB pellets they work great.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see open sights come with the rifle but I understand why they are not included. I would like more information about adjustments. One paragraph on what three different adjusters is not enough.

    What others should know:

Buy the .177 or the .25 cal the .22 cal has issues with accuracy that I could not remedy.

    Things I liked:

I purchased the .25 caliber Synthetic stock Marauder and am very happy with it. Out of the box at 40 yards, this gun will shoot where my cross hairs are aimed at (firing JSB Match 25.4 grain pellets). I have not had a chance to go beyond this distance but judging by what others are able to do with this gun, I'm sure I wouldn't be disappointed.

    Things I would have changed:

At this price point and considering the performance you are getting with zero modifications, I wouldn't change a thing. I feel like this gun is already bargain-priced in the PCP world.

    What others should know:

This gun hits hard so be aware of what is behind your target and don't bother with cheap pellet traps as it will damage it easily. Also, if you can afford it, get a tank as the pump can be quite a workout. Actually, come to think of it, the pump is a mixed blessing, sure it's a workout but it also keeps you from blowing through your pellet supply too quickly.

I was not impressed, grandsons red ryder shoots better groups. I sent back.

    Things I would have changed:

I think crosman needs alot better QC I was hoping they had things worked out on the .22.

    What others should know:

Pyrmyd Air wasn't that great with me as far as customer service. They don't stand behind what they sell, you pay return shipping even though they know the product has problems.I had a .25 marauder in cart but after talking to Cory this morning I removed. I'll go somewhere else with my business. If you want to see non bias reviews and learn some good things go to Marauder.com forum lots of good info.

    Things I liked:

very comfortable to hold, and great ergonomics. I have a hill pump and it takes about 5 pumps per shot with this 25 cal air rifle

    Things I would have changed:

    none

    What others should know:

This air rifle is so accurate it will spoil you. I have used it for hunting Eurasian doves (no limits and year round season). The 25 cal is unbelievable in accuracy and impact energy.

    Things I liked:

(I purchased mine in .25 caliber) Extremely Accurate, quiet, powerful, looks pretty good too. Very accurate gun. Puts five shots in one hole at 35 yards, with a Hawke HD IR 4-12x scope. Also powerful. I use H&N 22 grain pellets for squirrels. I've taken almost a dozen raccoons, possums, and a few coyotes with JSB 25.39 pellets. Very quiet, the loudest thing you'll hear when shooting this gun is the sound of the pellet striking a varmint, it sound like slapping two 2x4's together

    Things I would have changed:

It's a bit heavy to carry through the woods, but a sling can easily solve that

    What others should know:

Buy a good scope!! Hawke never fails!! All guns are different, but mine seems to prefer 25 grain jsb and predator polymags, along with benjamin domed pellets

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

very easy to take apart and adjust. I get about 20 powerful shots from about 2600 to 2000 psi. at a little over 32ft/lbs in .22cal,trigger is very nice as in stock setting but is adjustable. Quiet, pretty accurate, nice price for features

    Things I would have changed:

I wish Benjamin would have Green mountain make all their barrels, better mag. that longer pellets fit. Also a better pressure gage with more accurate markings would be nice.

    What others should know:

start with the test samplers like JSB and others to save a lot of money in finding out what pellet is best for you. then stock up on a lot of the most accurate pellet. get a chronograph of some sort to be able to test and set up rifle for max benefits, either shot count or power, as well as determining best fill pressure.

    Things I liked:

This rifle is great. I adjusted the power settings to 2.5CW on the spring and 4CW on the striker, which gives me 812fps (avg. for 24 shots) with JSB Exact (25.39gr.) pellets. At 22 yards using the garage door frame as a standing brace I got 8 shot groups of 3/8"(c-c), 24 shot groups of 1/2", and 32 shot groups of 5/8" per fill with both JSB Exact and H&N Baracuda (31gr.). This was after less than 50 break-in shots. The 24 shot string was with a fill pressure of 2750psi and ended at 1900psi (799fps-814fps-798fps). The 32 shot string was with a fill pressure of 3000psi and the first three shots were the worst. Using a fill pressure of 2850psi gives a couple more shots but drops the velocity to 794fps. Below 1900psi the velocity starts to drop about 8-10fps per shot. The factory setting gives higher velocity (about 850fps), but only about 8-10 fairly consistent shots. My best 8 shot group at the factory setting was 5/8"(c-c).

    Things I would have changed:

The manual is not very detailed about just how to adjust the power settings, but there are several reviews on YouTube showing this in detail. I feel that this should be detailed more completely in the manual, as this ability to easily fine tune the gun is the feature that impressed me the most.

    What others should know:

I use the Benjamin hand pump which takes about 65 strokes to go from 1900psi back to 2750psi. I weigh about 180 and it takes my full weight on the last 15-20 strokes. The trick is to throw your leg to the side as you push so that you get a continuous stroke to the bottom and then hold it for a count of 2 then bring your foot back on to the pump base and raise the handle to the top and hold again. The pump is compressing air on both the up and down strokes and needs the pause to allow the compressed air to fully clear the valves. This is a good work-out but is cheap.

Have only 20 rounds in it, but I am really happy with the purchase. No recoil, and light. I used it with the factory settings and it performed flowless. I will put a different scope for better target site.

    Things I would have changed:

Would it be possible to smooth the bolt action?

    What others should know:

Buy it. It is a great gun at a very moderate cost.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

AMAZING QUIETNESS. A Chat gent commented that this is the quietest gun they sell. He could say, really, that it is amazingly quiet. I find it quieter than my quiet Olympics-level pellet pistol, quiet enough to use in my noise-sensitive residential area where an airgun's WHAK! (even the "suppressed" Stoeger ATAC's) brings someone driving a kart around to locate the offense/offender. Power? To see how far a flat-nose pellet might penetrate into a 1" phone book, I made a test shot (factory setting). Went THROUGH IT and into the rug. And the little Tunnk! noise was unlikely to alert, let alone alarm, anyone in a next room. This partial review is before mounting a scope, but I thought it might be helpful to shoppers with noise-sensitive areas. I anticipate that the pellet-impact Whap! will be greater than the discharge noise.

    Things I would have changed:

Advise more strongly that hand pumping is impractical. Between 150 and 200 pumps--with surely 100 (perhaps 140) pounds down-pressure leaning on the handle each pump--were needed to charge the gun up to 2400 psi. If you'll shoot it only half a dozen times a year, the pump would be okay, but otherwise, gonna need a tank, it looks clear. Warn somewhere about double-charging (two pellets). Only in Reviews is this mentioned.

    What others should know:

When I get a scope on Betsy here, I'll report back about accuracy.

    Things I liked:

Extremely consistent groupings. Nice trigger. Adjustable cheek rest. Louder than the .22, but still very quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

Crosman needs to design something that prevents the user from accidentally double loading the pellets. Even with the synthetic stock it's still a little heavy, but it's probably as light as it can be.

    What others should know:

Their is a problem with the gun that could cause the user to screw up their purchase, especially if they haven't used this rifle before. There is a high likely hood that you could double load a pellet when using the 10 round clip. This doesn't sound too bad, but if you shoot both pellets at once the pellets will destroy your baffles inside the shroud. I'm waiting for my new shrouds to come in as I type this. The other problem is that the pellets will get jammed and you will not be able to pull the bolt back to remove the clip thus no way to remove the pellets other than tearing the gun apart to get to the pellets. The reason this is so easy to do is that the bolt action is rough. When you pull the bolt back it feels like it stops so you push the bolt back in. This loads one pellet, but no air. At this point you should pull the bolt back and remove the mag to prevent double loading. If you try again with mag in place you will double load a pellet and then the heart break ensues.

What can I say a bout this awesome rifle that hasn't already been said, I love it, it's a pleasure to shoot, I'm shooting 3/4 inch groups @ 50 yrds & know I can get better with that the longer I shoot, haven't had this gun a month yet!!!! Oh I can forget something else I like, that's dealing with Pyramyd Air, I bought the new Benjamine trail NP2 rifle that didn't work out for me, sent it back within my 30 days, & I got this one, & they took care of everything, thanks again guys, you are a first class corporation!!!!

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see a little longer barrel, & would like to see more stock options, I wish there were some more aftermarket stock options than there are now!!!

    What others should know:

That if you have a thought in the back of your mind about purchasing this rifle, then you should wait no longer & get it you won't have any regrets... If you can swing it get yourself a chronograph it wil come in handy when u are tuning your Marauder...

Gun is new from box and shoots superb. Adjusted little just because I could without chrono can't tell difference gun still very accurate. I had owned the .22 big difference in power and accuracy. Seemed to love hunter extreme pellets. Shot count is higher than had expected on factory settings.

    Things I would have changed:

Ability to use shorter scope rings and single shot tray

    What others should know:

Had ordered gun after noon on Saturday, shipped Monday, received before noon on Tuesday. Somebody at pa needs pat on back.

    Things I liked:

Love my new Synrod. Coming from a Discovery, I appreciate the magazine (10 shots in .177), the higher air capacity and the built-in noise suppression - not to mention the accuracy! The ability to tune the gun without swapping parts or taking the gun apart (other than removing stock) is also a real plus.

    Things I would have changed:

Inclusion of a single shot tray would have been a nice touch. Accuracy of fill gauge is questionable - at least compared to my tank gauge - it reads somewhere around 100psi high.

    What others should know:

Don't think you HAVE to fill this gun to 3000psi. I was initially under that impression, but that's wrong. The gun can be adjusted/tuned to work anywhere from 2000 to 3000psi. This was important to me because I already had a SCUBA fill setup and the cost for 4500psi tanks is rather high.

    Things I liked:

This rifle is ambidextrous so I can shoot it left handed but switch to right when the conditions warrant. 10 round magazine is great, trying to insert single pellets would be a pain.

    Things I would have changed:

I see Pyramyd now offers a left hand bolt conversion, I wish that was available when I bought mine.

    What others should know:

I do wildlife control and this gun is the ultimate in pest control, mostly pigeons for me. To my ears it's almost 100% quiet, all you hear is the pellet slap the pigeon. I have both the .177 and .25, I mainly shoot the .177 because the pellets won't carry as far after exiting the bird but the .25 absolutely flattens them. On a recent job I shot over 400 pigeons and had a 3 hour run of 52 with 60 shots. These guns are tack drivers, when I sighted them in indoors at 30yards 10 shots made a dime sized hole with Crosman Premier Ultra Mag pellets. I mentioned pellets exiting the bird, I'm still trying to pull a Quigley and get two with one shot, just haven't gotten them lined up right. One last comment, on that 60 shot run I mentioned, I did a test and made all 60 shots on one fill, I was down to 2000PSI but was still holding right on the birds at 40-50 yards. At full pressure I have made some 80 yard shots, my background includes 20 years of competitive shooting, so that helps.

    Things I liked:

Only a year or two into shooting pellet guns. I had a couple of springers and found them very difficult to shoot consistently. (I am sure strictly my technique -- or lack there of)This gun is amazing what you put the cross hairs on it hits! Its a squirrel killing machine! It's as quiet as it gets --- if there is anything that is quieter it probably doesnt have the same punch. Not having the scope killing recoil of a springer means you can also put just about any type of scope on it.

    Things I would have changed:

Putting the safety in front of the trigger in such a manner doesnt make sense to me?? If you have sausage fingers you might find it a little difficult releasing it. Plus I find myself -- without looking -- pulling back on it to see if the safety is set -- this is not good because the potential is there to put your finger behind the safety and actually pull the trigger inadvertently!

    What others should know:

As everyone has said in other posts (or at least thought it) Using a hand pump is a slight workout! I weight about 165lbs and don't have any problem getting it to 3000 psi. but it definitely makes you appreciate each shot though!

Oh yea, forgot to mention, mine "likes" (meaning shoots very accurately) several models of pellets, from the inexpensive Crosman Magnum 14.3 gr domed, to H&N Hunters. So you can practice with cheaper ones and hunt with more expensive higher performing ones.

    What others should know:

Mount a good scope on it...it will pay off.

    Things I liked:

I love my 22 Synrod. It is very accurate, very ergonomic, very well balanced, and very quiet. I just can't say enough good things about it. The stock is made of a high quality synthetic, comparable to the kind found on high power rifles, very stable, and very durable. The adjustable cheek piece allows for a perfect consistent weld. I've taken it into the woods, banged it around a bit and there's not a scratch. I'm ont afraid to lay it on the forest floor. (I really liked and almost got the wood version but wanted the 1 lb. weight savings. Also, I would have felt like I needed to baby the wood stock more.) The finish and fit is excellent. The trigger is good. I have not tried adjusting it much, but I will say from the factory that it doesn't "break like glass". However it is very predictable and allows the shooter to keep very tight groups. As a result, this airgun is actually a VERY good practice platform for shooting high power rifles. Quality/value is excellent!

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe add a regulator. However the pressure/velocity curve is pretty good as is. Possibility of having iron sights would be nice.

    What others should know:

I really don't see any reason to buy another air rifle, unless one just wants to have a large collection...Or to buy a higher caliber or alternate stock type Marauder! If you buy this air rifle, you will NOT be disappointed! I am into long range shooting with high power rifles, from 243Win to 7mm Rem Mag, but for weeks now I have only been shooting my new Synrod, and not gotten ready for deer season! What does that tell you?? Excuse me but I have to go shoot some groups.
