    Things I liked:

My first review - be gentle. I purchased the Benjamin Akela to supplement my Benjamin 392. I wanted a repeater and have been looking at several versions and decided the Akela was the best bang for the buck and would fit my needs perfectly. I ordered it from PyramidAir along with a UTG 4-16x44 AO Accushot SWAT Rifle Scope, It arrived a couple days after I ordered it, took it out, read directions, and cleaned it. The rifle came filled with air and no leaks - held air. I then mounted the scope in some high rings that I had on hand and loaded the 2 mags that came with it, 1 with Crossman 14gr domed and 2 Daisy Precision Max pellets. Made some targets for backyard test and scope zeroing. Walked off 52 yard from my deck to wooded area behind. Shooting with rifle shouldered and resting on deck rail. 1st mag got the scope dialed in and looked very good. Second mag was little 3/4" group, which I was very pleased with since I was not shooting off of a rest, Excellent purchase.

    Things I would have changed:

Like a barrel band, however, I can make one on my 3D printer. Really wouldn't change much, I found the quality and accuracy exceeded my expectations for the price point.

    What others should know:

If you are looking for a PCP rifle in $500-700 range, I think this is a great option.

    Things I liked:

Accurate, well made, relatively quiet... Basically a Marauder Bullpup!

    Things I would have changed:

Quality control could have been better from the factory or even by Pyramyd. (I paid for the 10 for $10) I noticed where the front sling stud screws into the stock...must have been over torqued from factory causing a small chip in the wood. My Bi-pod is mounted on that stud and covers the cosmetic flaw...but I know it's there!

    What others should know:

Most people want to know how quiet it is...Well it is similar to a Marauder in sound, not loud at all. The impact of the pellet hitting the target is louder than the gun! The power adjuster works really well. My Akela is set around 80% on the power wheel and she is shooting the 18.13 JSB @900 fps easily with a pretty flat shot string over two mags. Less than an inch accuracy @ 50yards is confirmed!

    Things I liked:

I own a number of Benjamin/Crosman airguns. The cost and the success of Benjamin's Marauder PCP are the reasons that the Akela is my first PCP air rifle. I reviewed a lot of comments and video Craftsman ship- Really impressed by this. The walnut stock is darker than in the picture and I mean is first class with a satin finish. The rest of the rifle is "Nicely" finished and the matte finish on the barrel is as well. The free floating barrel has a little flex: not sloppy and nothing to be concerned of. After all that is just to grabbing the barrel at the muzzle to see if there was any play. The flex doesn't bother me since barrels vibrate when fired and free floated barrels are great for accuracy. Accuracy- I have not put it on a target yet, but shooting the same twig at 5 yards offhand repeatedly with a bug buster scope: yep, give it high marks for accuracy. Shot Capacity- well the Akela came charged to 3000. Four magazines at full power later it is still on 2600 psi.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer a composite stock version, Wood is "BEAUTIFUL" and I will be paranoid until it gets a ding or two (Not really wanting to ding it)! A camo stock would be nice. Stick another magazine in the box. Benjamin needs to offer one in .30 cal (SOON)! Add another screw for the Picatinny rail that fits on the muzzle end at the bottom of the stock. You have to crank down on the rail to keep it from rotating. A little high speed double sidded tape can help with this. I will stick with five stars despite this issue.

    What others should know:

I hate to admit that as a loyal PA customer that I did not by this from PA. I had been checking PA over and over once I got the funds and due to the current demand for such items I finally bought one from another source for about the same price. As my luck runs PA got these in 3 days after mine came in. OH Well! Hopefully a .30 cal version will come out and I will try to hold and purchase it from PA. PA has always given me good service and speedy shipping. IT's A KEEPER! H&N Excite Coppa=Spitzkugel works well in the Akela.

    Things I liked:

Its light, compact, good power, smooth side lever, ok trigger out of the box, side mounted manometer, shoulders nicely.

    Things I would have changed:

It is a bit loud, way louder than my .22 Marauder.

    What others should know:

This is specific to my Akela and I hope it does not happen too often, but the stock finish is really bad, I will be sanding it and refinishing it. Who ever stained that stock had no idea what he/she was doing.

    Things I liked:

Smooth sidelever action, beautiful walnut stock, adjustable power levels Over 30 shots at 3/4 power, I got a high of 895 a low of 823 for 867 avg with jsb 18.13. Max power was over 32 fpe@ 3/4 power Shoulders nicely, sling mounts installed, picatinny rail included for bipod Tree Rats are not happy with this rifle...........

    Things I would have changed:

    Nada

    What others should know:

Extremely accurate out to 50 yards with 18.13 which is as far as I can shoot at moment Has foster fill, no probe to leak. No info on a trigger adj. HOWEVER if you go to Youtube and search AirGunDetective he gives a tutorial on how to adjust it, very good info Get one!!!

    Things I liked:

Fit and finish is good on this gun Although the clearcoat is a little thin. It is also very accurate.Nice trigger also.

    Things I would have changed:

One of the main things is I think they shouldve added a barrel band. One that just grips the air tube and has just a tiny bit of clearance around the barrel. It would be nice if it had a forward cocking leaver but I knew that before buying it.

    What others should know:

I have only been able to test The accuracy at 25 yards and get quarter inch groups. For its size its a little bit on the heavy side once you add a scope. But I think it’s a good value for the money for sure. I’m very happy with it so far. Everything was great straight out of the box. I haven’t adjusted anything and don’t need to.

    Things I liked:

This is an awesome, accurate rifle with a flat shot string, even without a regulator. It pushes the 18.1 gr JSB pellet by about 880 ft/s (~31 ft/lb). You can get about 36 shots at that speed. Easy loading and cocking. Nice stock.

    Things I would have changed:

Longer length of pull (for bigger shooters), the lower pic rail should be mounted by 2 screws because it can spin around (mounted with only one screw). It would benefit from a barrel band. It is a little heavy, but not terrible at all.

    What others should know:

It is an awesome rifle, for close distances it shoots as well as my FX Wildcat.

    Things I liked:

It is very well balanced and easy to shoot off the shoulder, plenty of power in all the settings, side lever it is very smooth.

    Things I would have changed:

Stock finish is messed up, I will try to include pictures, way louder than my 12 years old Marauder, barrel shroud finish is rough.

    What others should know:

If you are looking for a fun gun with plenty of power look no further, if you want something with nice finish look elsewhere

    Things I liked:

I like the beautiful wood stock. It comes with two magazines. Smooth lever cock and nice trigger. Good power and half inch group at 40 yards. Have not tried longer distance but so far pretty accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Bipod picatinny needs 2 mounting points. One allows twisting. Needs to add adapter and suppressor. Safety latch is too tight. Very poor workmanship. Needs cut more lightening holes on the stock to take some weight out. Only gets about 36 consistent shots per fill 3000 to 2000 psi. For this price it should be regulated or lower the price to around $400.

    What others should know:

This is on the heavy side. You will need to drill another picatinny hole and use a longer rail. You will also need tall scope rings.

    Things I liked:

Beautiful walnut stock, smooth side lever cocking side wheel power adjuster, quiet even at 3/4 power i'm half blind and am getting dime groups at 25 meters Magazine is great, slides in and clips onto a spring loaded ball bearing. Mags are numbered

    Things I would have changed:

nothing at moment. safety a lil stiff but should loosin up It is a lil heavy because of wood stock, but it balances well

    What others should know:

I did not get it here because they have been out of stock I bought it direct from Crosman Benjamin

Unfortunately...i didnt buy from pyramydair but i will say i got 1 of the first ever gun. It shoots consistent 958 - 960 w jsb 14.3 grain pellet. I love this thing.

    Things I would have changed:

    Wish it was dead silent

    What others should know:

    Very accurate

    Things I liked:

Very powerful gun, very accurate. Granted you'll need to put in the work finding the right pellet. It slings 25grain pellets no problem which is a huge plus. Ergonomic design and excellent balance make it a comfortable shooter. Great choice for a mid-range PCP, it'll take down any medium game you need with no problem. Nice shot count too.

    Things I would have changed:

Cocking lever is further back than I would have liked, but not a deal breaker by any means.

    What others should know:

You definitely want to find a 500 psi working range to get the most accuracy out of the gun. You shoot a 1,000psi range with it and it will do fine, but if you narrow it down to a specific 500psi range this gun will shoot nearly hole in hole at 45 yards.

    Things I liked:

Well done Benjamin. I also have a FX wildcat and the Akela is catching up. Only shot about 100 pellets, but so far very impressed. Pretty nice groups out to 75 yards with JSB 18.3 grain heavies. At this point would highly recommend for the money. Very quiet and back yard friendly for sure. Very smooth cocking and crisp trigger. Out of the box it is spot on.

    Things I would have changed:

Time will tell how this does in the long run.

    What others should know:

Nice stock as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend. Nice job Benjamin
