    Things I liked:

The fit and finish is beyond what I expected for the price. The accuracy is stellar. It did 1/2 and smaller groups at 30 yds out of the box.

    Things I would have changed:

In my opinion the trigger is too light. It is smooth and breaks clean. Mostly just a learning curve for me but I would prefer a break around 2 lbs

    What others should know:

you need the right optic. The adjustable cheek piece is good in theory but in reality when you shoulder the rifle your eye relief depends on the placement of the scope on the rail. The rail is generous but if you need long eye relief there might not be enough rail for a big scope.

    Things I liked:

Quality, feel, looks, accuracy. The Akela is a real eye catcher and feels great to shoulder!

    Things I would have changed:

Lighten the back of the stock a little. I do wish Benjamin would offer a barrel band for it.

    What others should know:

I haven't had this long, so was not able to shoot it and test it nearly as much as I wanted. Having said that, it is an excellent gun for the money!

Wood finished stock, gauge location, shot cont considering this being an unregulated pcp rifle.amazing accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

Mount rail a little bit higher

    What others should know:

All scoops are not a great fit for this rifle, choose wisely.

    Things I liked:

I've owned the Akela for a few months now and am totally satisfied with my purchase. This is truly a quality rifle at a reasonable price. The wood stock is smooth and well made. It even has the pleasant scent of a wooden finish. For me, there is nothing like the combo of a quality wooden stock and blued metal. The rifle is accurate and you need to look no further than YouTube to see just how accurate. What you see on the video reviews is true. Mine is amazing! And performs the way is seen in the online reviews. I own the Maurader, and now the Akela. Both were purchases where my money was well spent.

    Things I would have changed:

The Akela needs a barrel band. I'm not a fan of long, free-floating barrels. There are aftermarket bands sold which I purchased and work perfectly. The barrel is now solid and I don't have to worry about giving it a slight bump and have my accuracy compromised. After shooting my Maurader for a while I got to see how a regulator truly improves consistency and shot count. After shooting the Akela for a while I got to see how a regulator truly improves consistency and shot count :). I would gladly pay more to have a regulator on this rifle which would only enhance its performance and appeal.

    What others should know:

Invest in a moderator. Not only will it quiet the rifle some, but it will also serve to make it look meaner and more tactacal. Even my wife who is not a shooter said it had a more powerful look to it after I installed the moderator. This rifle will NOT disappoint and I highly recommend it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Make available in .25 caliber.

    What others should know:

Great value - shoots good, feels good, looks good! Takes a little getting used to with scope mounted. Might have to experiment with different height scope rings.

Great looking gun. Got 1 inch and less grouping at 35 yards with Crossman 14.3 domed pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

I had to send mine back I could not get my head down on the comb comforibly to shoot. That is with 1 inch scope rings.

    What others should know:

    It was a little heavy

    Things I liked:

Perfect small gun, similar to my fx wildcat, seems lighter, adjustable power, mk 2 wildcat does not have that option , my impact mk2 does, picitany rail, all my scopes use this type of Mount. Trigger, nice and smooth, quiet, no need for a surpresor. 12 round mag in . 22. Accurate , size, accuracy and adjust power make it perfect for pest birds at any range. Wood stock is nice, I like it better than plastic on my FXs. High power with 15.9 is 1004 high and 980 low. At low setting its Around 540. Well worth the600$, I bought two, one for me and one for a friend helping with some yard work.

    Things I would have changed:

Sorry bipod mount. You need two screws or do like I did, use the front swivel as a mounting point, then drill a hole to match countersunk bolt. Maybe a barrel band to stabilize barrel? Not a problem yet, and wonder if it would hurt accuracy, just be careful of bumping the barrel. Maybe a regulator add on is in the future?

    What others should know:

AwSome gun, excellent for a beginner or a well seasoned air gunner. I have had and currently have FX, HW 100 and 110, Benjamin Mai raider, hw97, Diana 54 airking. And so on. This little Benjamin is the perfect size and very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Sling mount point not centered. Throws your bipod off when mounted

    Things I liked:

Size... Accuracy... 12 round shot cartridge... Quiet... Lightweight... Price point....(with discount on July 4,2021...$538.00...including tax) Safety location and trigger feel...(about 1 1/2 pound) Cocking lever...

    Things I would have changed:

Fill port has awkward lip around it... Fill port cap difficult to remove at times... Front of gun stock is tapered making mounting a bi-pod awkward to mount... These 3 I can live with because this gun is awesome... However, I hate the floating barrel system... Hate it, Hate it, Hate it...

    What others should know:

For those using a hand pump to fill gun, follow these steps... 1. Do not dry fire gun... 2. Put safety on and cock gun... 3. Now begin pumping to fill... Failing to follow these steps will result in gun leaking through barrel. Gun will have to be sent back or a high press tank system will be needed to fill...

    Things I liked:

Everything accuracy, weight, smooth action. With the right ammo at 25 yards i had 12 shot groups you could cover with a dime.

    Things I would have changed:

    Larger air cylinder

    What others should know:

Front rifle sling clip is not centered so bipod was off center when attached, i can slide my mount over to compensate. Trying to use supplied rail is useless it moves around.

    Things I liked:

The Akela is a very accurate pcp with a great looking walnut stock. A bit heavy but handles beautifully. I read the reviews and was on the fence for awhile but most of the negative reviews were about getting the Akela without air and leaks. I purchased the rifle from Pyramyd Air no problems. And I know they would take care of any problems that arise.Thats why I buy from Pyramyd Air. Great Thank you

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

You cant beat the price it shoots as well as pcps I have costing 3 times as much.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I bought mine in .177 because I wanted a flat trajectory and less power for shooting in barns, versus tuning down my .22 Maverick or S410 and tolerating a terrible trajectory when longer shots present. It's a wonderful gun. Accurate and powerful. Supported in the USA unlike some imports. I doubt I could find better value for the money elsewhere. Plenty of other reviews so I'll focus on other things.

    Things I would have changed:

Stock: Finger grooves are way too pronounced. Grip could be more vertical. Oil finish stinks. I'll sand the sharpness of the stock contours and apply a proper finish this winter. Needs a two-holed pic rail for the bipod mount. Noise: This gun is not back-yard friendly unless you live on an acre. Not hideous like a Sumatra, but much louder than my S410, Maverick, P-Rod, and Beeman PCP's. Don't buy it without planning for a Donny. You'll need an adapter, too so add $150 to the overall purchase.

    What others should know:

Still, I'd have two of these in different calibers before buying a Wildcat. (Magazines for $20 instead of $50?!). The only tangible difference is if you can't live with the rearward cocking lever on the Akela.

    Things I liked:

I liked this beautiful rifle except for one major problem that I had. I simply could get my head next to stock to see through a scope. Three of us tried two sets of rings and bases as well as scopes. Neither of us could see through the scopes without getting our heads directly behind the stock. We never touch the trigger or anything else. PA was great about letting us to return for a refund. I wish it could have worked for me because I liked it otherwise.

    Things I would have changed:

    Stock or mounting system

    What others should know:

You may have trouble setting a scope system to get face/cheek to align with center of scopes.

    Things I liked:

Got this rifle in both the 22 and 177 caliber. Really enjoy shooting both. They are both very accurate and have plenty of power. If I could only afford 1 rifle one of these would be my 1st choice. They are truly that good. I own a FX classic and I get these out 95 percent of the time.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe the safety it's a little awkward to get use to. But works well.

    What others should know:

    They are not pellet picky.

    Things I liked:

Once I got the scope sighted in, this gun is a tack driver. Also my gun chronoed at up 999 fps during the 10 for 10 checkout at Pyramid Air. Ive only been able to zero it at 25 yards so far ( small yard here) it is only SLIGHTLY louder than my marauder, so its a very quiet ,powerful, and accurate gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The rubber butt pad tend to hang up on my clothes when I shoulder the gun, and it takes a second to find the right eye relief in my scope, but thats likely a learning curve issue.

    What others should know:

This gun looks sexy because it IS sexy..!! I recommend you get either a scuba tank or a compressor, because you'll go through a lot of tins of ammo.
