    Things I liked:

Manufacturers claims are correct. I can leave it ready to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

Any significant change would increase price so nothing yet. I may add something in the next year related to the open sites.

    What others should know:

Had the 400e for a couple months. I shoot from a second story window into a lake about 60 to 100 yards away. The cone of fire is quite impressive. Don't waste your time shooting it on paper, just learn machine gun theory from the 1800s to present day and apply that. Read reviews since most of them are accurate. Just discard the whiners. Definitely worth every penny. Get extra mags.

    Things I liked:

Battery charges up to full, from empty, in about one hour - and that's right out of the box. QUIET! Not *silent* but VERY little sound when firing. If it were not for the sunlight on the bb's, as they flew through the air, I was unsure on several occasions if it had actually fired anything - the sound is soft and weak, almost like a misfire (on a normal bb gun.) Absolutely shreds anything made of paper or cardboard on the far end - targets just sort of disappear, after a few magazines of firing. Extremely solidly made, very little plastic.

    Things I would have changed:

Either include an extra magazine or make them easier to load. HEAVY, esp. barrel-heavy, business end always wants to pull downwards FAR more than any other air gun that I own, including my Air Ordinance full auto .22 belt fed! It feels unnatural, with the barrel end always pulling down noticeably (and annoyingly.) You'll spend 2x-5x more time cursing at the so-called "speed loader" than you will firing (i.e. having fun.) It is LITERALLY (i.e. no hyperbole, no joking, no exaggerations AT ALL) faster to load bb's one by one - such as by pushing them into the magazine opening by hand & ramming them past the retaining pin with a small rod or a ball point pen - than it is to use the so-called "speed loader" ... which is why I keep using the words "so-called" every time I mention it, and put the words "speed loader" in quotes! It is a piece of trash that absolutely does NOT do the job it is designed for, unless the entire operation from start to finish is done extremely slowly.

    What others should know:

"A brilliant idea murdered by an incompetent implementation." My Berra 400e truly shines - once the magazine is loaded and inserted. Getting it to that point, though, can be absolutely insanity-provoking & takes most of the fun out of using this bb gun. I regret ever buying this expensive TOY; and the only reason I have not sent it back for a full refund is because I have machine shop experience & I want to see if I can come up with a better, faster, and higher capacity feed mechanism, myself. The magazine and the so-called "speed loader" that this comes with, standard, are a complete vexation on the soul. OTHER than that, it is AMAZING!

    Things I liked:

It's a solid gun.. it has some good weight.. it's accurate and it's electric.. it holds a lot of rounds and you don't have to keep feeding it with more ammo.. it doesn't use CO2 which is also to me a positive and negative also (it's gift and a curse)

    Things I would have changed:

The main reason and only reason.. what I don't like about this gun is that it's electric unless they can find a way to stop that annoying generic electric motor sound that it has to make.. But it does save you a lot of money in the long run for you do not have to put in CO2.. UNFORTUNATELY I like the sound of the CO2 powered airguns.. that's my only issue

    What others should know:

It's an amazing fun airgun and it's accurate what else can you ask for..

    Got BBs? You want this!!!!

All the good reviews are true! This BB air rifle shoots as accurate as a air pellet rifle and that is using the flip up sights that come standard with the airgun. Putting a scope or red dot on this air rifle would make it ridiculously accurate!! The airgun looks and feels like the real thing. You will really appreciate the battery operation. Once charged the airgun is always ready to shoot. Whether you want to shoot hundreds of bbs or just a five shot group. You don't have to worry about wasting CO2. Also the airgun maintains the same fps from bb number one through bb number 1000! You will learn to master the bb loader and then there will be nothing left but pure shooting bliss!!

    Things I liked:

Built to last. Shot count per charge. Accuracy

    Things I would have changed:

    The speed loader

    What others should know:

First I have to say this thing is built better than an actual AR. It's almost too heavy. It will be worth fixing or rebuilding in the future for sure. It's not a throw away. I've owned more bb guns than I can remember over the years (I refuse to totally grow up) and this is the only one I felt was worthy of a quality sight. Maybe a good red dot or scope. Idk what's different about it but at 20-25 yards I can consistently hit 2-4 inch targets until I get a bad bb. (I've only used Daisy bbs so far) It kinda blows my mind. The loading process is a learned one. Found a few tricks to help keeping bbs from jamming up in the loader. Hold it horizontally for one. The loader is cheap though. The higher gloss the bb has the easier the process should be. I'm going to try the Air Venturi bbs next. Yes, it is expensive but well worth it. The only thing that remains is to see how long it lasts. Just know you'll spend more time loading than shooting.

    gun review

The gun overall and by all appearance looks like a quality made gun however the delicate speed loader is a weak link The plunger for the speed loader could be easily broken my brother-in-law and I each ordered a gun mine shoots drastically left is shoots very low so much so you cannot adjust the sites to zero it in does not have the range I thought it would and the prescribed silicone oil for maintenance is impossible to find

    Awesome Gun!

Received the gun and accessories, charged the battery and then the thrill ride began! Wow what a great gun! Very accurate and great distance. The loader leaves a little to be desired, but once you figure out how to play the BB game with it, it loads pretty good. The magazine: It could use a window or counter to let you know it is filled when it is filled or you keep trying to press more BB's in. The battery lasted nowhere near 1000 rounds as advertised. I may have gotten about 500 out of it. All in all it is a great purchase so far. Very happy with it. It is nice to be able to target practice in my own yard and not be surrounded by SWAT for discharging a firearm, so that is always a bonus!

    Things I liked:

Build quality, accuracy, 50 bb magazine capacity and electric powerplant!

    Things I would have changed:

Loading the magazine with bbs is tedious.

    What others should know:

Shot count can be increased by increasing battery mah and or c rating. Must be a 3s lipo battery, may and c rating is flexible!

    Things I liked:

LOVE IT! Had mine a few weeks and like it more every day. This thing really grows on you. Super realistic! Has a decent "heft" to it. Feels like the real thing in every way, and looks like a genuine "~AR-16 assault rifle~" (insert rolling eyes imoje here) so be careful who you allow to see this thing or you might get "red flagged" by any wienie, leftie neighbors you might have. :o) Have to get used to the quiet sound; it doesn't go "bang," but rather kinda sings? "Gizz-gizz-gizz!" Accuracy is VERY impressive. (especially for a smooth-bore) I hit a one gallon milk jug fifty times in a row at forty yards. (gunna try 60 yards next) With the exception of the occasional flier (with cheap BB's) this thing is dead-nuts on the money. Drills a quarter sized hole in a paper target at 12 yards. Have no idea how it develops that constant, 390 fps (with zero drop-offs) on just battery power, but of course, I'd still like more. ;o) (Guess it's just one of my a character flaws

    Things I would have changed:

Slight problem with a loose screw inside the stock. No biggie; I just tightened it up. If it ever comes loose again, I'll just use a little lock-tight. The magazine could be a bit tougher. It should ship with extra mags and loader. The "dual function" sights are just fine right outta the box. (no scope needed)

    What others should know:

This gun is useless if anything happens to the mag, battery or loader the so be sure to get extras

    HARD TO LOAD

How does the speed loader help you get bb's into the magazine? It will take a few and then one sits on top. Is there any other way to fill the Magazine? Because of this I haven't even shot it yet because I cannot fully load it.

  • Rating 1.01.0 1.0

Good gun ,Bad magazine & Speed loader

I would give the gun a 10 star rating , But the magazine needs some work, The BBs jam up in the speed loader, You shake bang the loader and then load a few more and you just got to keep repeating the shake and banging and load a few more, It works a lot better if you put a drop of BALLISTOL on the plunger in speed loader not sure if this is good on the gun?

    Fun and innovative

Perhaps the mechanized functions of this new air rifle are old hat to airsoft folks but it's new to us airgunheads. And sort of weird, hearing gears and stuff after pulling the trigger instead of the usual POP, but it's easy to get used to, and the accuracy and speed of the BB more than make up for any strangeness of mechanism. That said, I'd like to see some way to secure the battery - it tends to flop around inside, and the price seems a bit dear for the a la carte ordering. It's a solid, well-made, and enjoyable BB rifle. Let's hope it starts a trend, especially for semi- and full-auto guns.

    Things I liked:

(Purchased direct from Barra.) It's the first one, so, yeah, the novelty of it all. And Barra makes solid pieces, and this one certainly is. The iron sights are however, plastic and there is no height adjustment on the front sight and only one peephole on the back sight, which is only adjustable for windage. What is interesting is that the sights also have a fiberoptic component, not adjustable, which is usable when the iron sights are tilted down. But they're on a full length rail, so feel free to attach whatever you have. I went with keeping the iron sights but put on a fully adjustable metal set. From my days of shooting so far, with the long barrel and non-blowback system, it's very accurate for a smooth bore BB rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

First, maybe it's just me, but the price seems high. Yes, I paid it, more for the novelty, like I said, but, still, IMHO you should at least get the full bundle for 400, or less, not just the gun. Perhaps, when there is some competition, if there ever will be, we'll see some settling of the market. I would like to see a clamp for the battery - it will rattle around a bit inside the stock. And the stock itself will wiggle a bit. I had room on the lower MLok for a bipod and a foregrip. The trigger is good, but the fact that you're really starting a motorized mechanism instead of releasing a hammer takes some getting used to. Hold steady.... Love to see extra mags down the road, especially ones that could be loaded both with and without the quick loader.

    What others should know:

As mentioned above, you get two types of sights. There is a charging handle, which will flip the eject door down, but does nothing else. The magazine release is ambidextrous with buttons on both sides. You can hear a definite difference when the magazine is empty, and they include a quick loader, which is the only way you can load the mag. I'm not sure I ever got to fill it with all of the 50 BBs they claim it holds, but close. That may improve with use. When you use the quick loader, it's actually pushing BBs down against the spring and the follower, so it gets much harder after a couple dozen or so are loaded. It's a good quick loader, probably will also work with some other mags, but don't ask me which ones. What looks like a suppressor is just a sleeve around the barrel. It also is removable and the gun is strippable after pulling the two pins. The grip houses some of the machinery of the pumping mechanism, so it is not replaceable with a better AR-15 grip, but it's okay if slim.

    Things I liked:

It shoots fast, hard, and is very accurate for shooting BB's. It's a lot of fun Electricity is cheaper than CO2, lasts longer, and isn't so limited by temperature.

    Things I would have changed:

Would be nice if they included a battery and charger. Nice that Pyramyd is offering a battery and charger combo at least. I can't get 50 rounds into my magazine. Usually stops at around 35 BB's. Maybe it'll get better over time, but it would be nice if it actually loaded to capacity. Would be nice if it stopped automatically when the magazine ran dry, but at least it isn't wasting CO2.

    What others should know:

For those curious, it takes an S3 Lithium battery, minimum of 25C rating, 11.1 volt, with a Deans plug, I suggest having two batteries, so you can just toss a freshly charged one in before you go out to shoot. They say steel BB's only, no lead or frangible. Don't use with a hard backstop, and wear eye protection. I ordered direct from Barra, before Pyramyd even added the 400E to their website. The included sights are not adjustable for elevation, and mine shoots low, might want to plan on an aftermarket sight.
