Barra 400E Reviews

I had problems with the first one and had to send it back under warranty. They were very good about communicating with me and getting a replacement sent to me no hassle. The new one is working great and at this time I have shot over 3000 shots with no problems. It's a lot of fun to shoot and is very accurate. If I had to do it again I would not hesitate to buy again. Even though the first one had problems I would recommend the product because of their great service. For these reasons I give it a five star rating. I would recommend this rifle to anyone.

Is the gun good? Yes Does the motor preform as advertised? Yes Is it accurate? Depends. With my personal red dot, yes it was very accurate at 10 to 15 yards. However, the iron sights advertised on the box and on YouTube did not come with the gun. Despite being brand new out of the box, QC failed to check if the correct iron sights were placed on the gun. Pictures of the iron sights I received will be included. Despite looking like fiber optic, they are not. They do not capture light despite being translucent in appearance. To anyone reading this review, you MUST BUY FOOD GRADE Silicone Lube for this gun to work properly. I personally used Super Lube Spray from ACE Hardware to free a stuck magazine release, smoother disassemble of the upper and lower to clear jams, stuck plunger on the BB feeding tube, smoother magazine insertion, less abrasion on the magazine and mag-well. Not using lubrication will ruin the finish of your magazines. This gun is as dry as a mummy out of the box, so don't ruin your finish by rushing to fire it before lubricating it. Unlike the YouTube reviews, I needed a plastic or brass punch and an armorer's hammer to remove the front retaining pin for separating the upper and lower for cleaning and inspection of the barrel. The charging handle appears to do nothing. Also, it does not fully close once it has been pulled back and released. I have to forward assist the charging handle itself since there is no bolt to help it close. The bolt release on the side is strictly for appearances. It does absolutely nothing and swings freely without any spring tension creating an unnecessary rattle. The selector switch feels great! I actually like the trigger on this more than on a real mil-spec AR. I prefer 2-stage triggers over single stage triggers, and Barra's triggers rock! You guys should think about making triggers for the 5.56 caliber rifles. I was disappointed that all of it was made in Taiwan. It's very expensive for being an overseas build. If you guys could partner up with Magpul and Midwest Industries to get some Made in America parts thrown on there it would be far more worth the price. Thank you very much for including a GEN 2 BB mag loader with my purchase. The metal plunger really made the difference. Lithium Polymer batteries require constant supervision. They cannot be stored fully charged and ready to go. So if you bought this to scare dear away from your garden or prevent mice from chewing up your house wires, it will not be time efficient since it needs a fully balanced charge over all 3 cells to perform safely. Then it must be de-charged for storage. The balance charger that Barra offers doesn't provide a de-charging function. You'll have to research what de-charge method will work best for your situation. Overall, I like the gun enough that I don't want to return it. It is extremely fun, but it needs improvements.

Nothing really....except maybe offer a decent Red Dot scope as part of the package deal. I'd have bought it!

Buy a generous qty. of extra batteries and magazines!

3 star and here's why. 1. I love the weapon. 2. I don't love the fact that a) batteries are not included, b) a charger is not included, c) BB's (even a small bottle) are not included. I can't give you a better rating till I actually fire it. Once I received my firearm, I should have been able to put it together, take it outside and USE IT - SAME DAY not a month later waiting on this piece and that piece to wend its way across the PACIFIC OCEAN to get to me. Poor Design, to load magazine if I had known would never purchase the Gun VERY Disappointing

Just wow! I heard about this new technology rifle online about 3 months ago and decided to finally give it a try. This product feels and looks like the real thing. I am all about efficiency and this is it. I have been using it for a few weeks and enjoy not having to change out co2 multiple times a day. Over 1000 rounds on 1 battery charge is a true statement. I highly recommend this product. Definitely a game changer. I plan on buying 2 more mags soon to save some time on reload.

Be careful, At 15 yards a ricochet can still shatter your neighbors glass door 25 yards farther back.

I am going to keep it simple. This is the first day that I have been able shoot my 400E and I have literally chuckled out loud several times. This thing is impressively accurate and simply a blast to shoot, I am so glad I purchased one!

I have been waiting for this for 55 years. This is the bb gun of my dreams.

Magazine is way to small and needs to hold more. The BB loader is terrible and unfortunately you are stuck with it, TheBB loader really detracts from the value of this BB gun.

The gun is great! Great long life battery and flawless shooting.

I would make the gun more milspec, so I could change the grip, buttstock and other parts.

Be patient with the bb reloaded. It's not perfect but also not a reason to not buy this bb gun.

Great toy.. excellent craftsmanship, feels like the real thing. Not having to buy CO2 cartridges is huge for me. The pro's would be 1000+ shots on a single battery. No freezing up while in full auto do to CO2 bottle's freezing. The quality of the gun itself is huge. It looks and feels like the real thing. The con's would be the sound it makes when firing. It sounds like an Airsoft gun, for me it doesn't really matter, the speed loader is the weakest part of the system. Like I said, it's a great toy… can you imagine giving your son one of those to shoot with, he is going to think he is Rambo and that you are the coolest Dad in the world.

I usually do not take the time to write reviews but I had to this time because I was truly impressed when I received my fully automatic 400 series rifle. When I opened the box I was surprised it was fully all metal and it had the weight of a real rifle. I pretty much am and air rifle enthusiast lol. I’ve dealt with other brands like GAMO,Crossman,Ect… and now my first time dealing with Barra airguns it has been wonderful and I have not put my rifle down since I received it yesterday. I highly recommend their products it is truly a very well Constructed and designed air rifle. I look forward to purchasing another Rifle and then trying out their handguns.

The Barra 400e was a gift that I had gotten for my dad and he has become a little kid again. We got him a half dozen mags along with the gun and he has spent all of his available time in the backyard. For years he has been saying how he wished he had a full automatic airgun when he was a child back in the 70s and how him and his brothers would of gotten in a ton of trouble if they had the access to it. After he got it all set up and equipped with his attachments, he invited his brother over and they spend hours shooting shaken up soda cans in the yard. Honestly a 10/10 purchase.

As expected honestly"¦I have several AR's, mostly higher end stuff, was looking for something just to toy with a few weekends back. Came across a few YouTube videos of this product and couldn't resist. Shot nearly all day on a single battery, 1000 rounds plus, the first day we received it!!! What a fun gun to shoot! My son has Autism and doesn't like the loud ones too well"¦this gun was perfect! You have to get one for yourself"¦I've told several friends and you will too! Don't let the haters steer you away because of the loader. Use common sense, it's rather easy"¦

Well I got the barra 400e the speed loader is a fail neat gun feels authentic but the speed loader is a fail.
