    Things I liked:

Built like a tank is heavy but works great. Love the air scrubber. Love the fact I can get parts and repair it myself if need be.

    Things I would have changed:

Handles are a little too the hard side.

    What others should know:

It's quality and lasts longer than the cheaper pumps.

    Things I liked:

I should have bought this pump in the first place. It is easier to pump, which is important to me because I have COPD. I have been using the Benjamin pump & have to rest after 20 pumps. With the MK4 pump I don't have to rest. I see little difference in the number of pumps between the two.

    Things I would have changed:

A longer fill hose would be nice. 24" would be minimum-in my opinion.

    Things I liked:

I like everything about this pump. That plastic footrest is not some thin flimsy part. It is very adequate for the stress it has to withstand. I haven't read in any of the reviews about one breaking. The desiccant filter is also mostly plastic, but it takes no stress, and is out of the way. Again, it is not flimsy. It also seems to be more effective than the after-market unit for the Benjamin pump. I have four of those. (I do PCP rebuilds and the closest fill station for a tank is too far for adequate convenience.) I have that many because when one goes out I have another to use until I rebuild the other and I use them in two locations. The gauge on the Hill is better quality than the Benjamin, but I have never had trouble from those either. The hose on the Hill is a good bit longer with much better flexibility and the quick disconnect is smoother operating. The Hill initially pressurizes slower at the start, but after about 50 pumps you have caught up with the Benjamin and move ahead.

    Things I would have changed:

I made my own airtight cover for the desiccant filter's intake so that it does not absorb moisture when not in use. It is not a complicated device. An o-ring fits below the intake onto the neck of the filter body to provide a seal between the cover and filter. I doubt it would cost a dollar to have one included with the pump.

    What others should know:

The Hill pump requires much less force at all pressures compared to the Benjamin pump. Using the Hill pump I never have to bend my knees and apply force with my body weight. I am 65 years old and in very good health but weigh more than I like to admit. The Benjamin pump works me a lot harder to get to 3000 psi than the Hill does. At about 2500 psi with the Benjamin, I have to begin bending my knees and applying my weight over the handle to continue. I get pretty well up in the cardio-vascular cycle before I complete the task. With the Hill, I can just continue pumping with my arms all the way to 3000 psi and I am just beginning to feel taxed. (I do not pump continuously, but in 75 stroke sessions and let the pump cool.) I have seen men that weighed about 165 lbs. get lifted off the floor trying to use the Benjamin pump as it approaches 3000 psi. From my experience just using my arms, I think the Hill may allow those lightweight fella's to get the job done with both feet on the floor!

    Things I liked:

    Quality of construction and material.

    Things I would have changed:

The hose needs to be about 8 inches longer.

    What others should know:

This is the first pump I have owned, so I can't compare it to any others. However, it works very well. The pressure gauge reads the same as the gauge on my Benjamin Marauder.

    Things I liked:

Seems well made, it was easy to assemble and it dis-assembles easily for compact travel. I purchased the additional quick-disconnect fitting so I can use it to fill my Mammut avalanche airbag cylinders while I'm travelling, it takes about 20 minutes but eliminates driving across town to find a dive shop. You ever try to find a dive shop in a small town in Idaho? (hint: it takes more than 20 minutes)

    What others should know:

    It's work, but it works.

    Things I liked:

A very high quality pump that worked well right from the box. Solid industrial quality fittings and hose provide a margin of safety for those using this pump at 3,000 to 4,000 psi pressures. Typical British "Old World" quality in a pump that should last several lifetimes if properly cared for and maintained.

    Things I would have changed:

Since I am using this to charge a Theoben gas ram on my Weihrauch HW-90 rifle, I do not need to use it over 377 psi (26 bar) so the gauge which goes up to 4,000 psi does not have great resolution at lower pressures I am using. I added a 0 to 400 psi gauge for the lower pressures I am using. This was easy to do with fittings from Best Fittings, a UK supplier which has a web site online.

    What others should know:

Be sure to use the air dryer and included drying agent because pressurizing air to these levels is likely to add a lot of moisture to the pressure vessel.

    Things I liked:

This pump is built to last. Very sturdy and a solid. Pumping action is very smooth and the moisture remover was a big plus. The last pump I had really messed up my rifle with moisture. From 100 to 200 bar is about 230 pumps but I love the work out I get with this pump. I pump about 40 pumps and then rest. Back to pumping....another 40 pumps. Seven little sessions and back to shooting. Great work out...I am getting a six pack with this. Part of the fun! I love not having to go to a dive shop or spend a grand or two for a motorized pump and tank. The pump I got was a refurbished pump. It was and is perfect!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. It is what it is. It is the best manual pump you can get. I've tried others and this is the smoothest most reliable pump you can get.

    What others should know:

If you are less than 150 lbs., then I would recommend getting a tank. This pump requires some strength to use and after a while you will get used to it. Having weight can allow you to use your weight to force the pump down. The pump does get a little warm and that means it is working. Rebuild kits are available and instructions are on YouTube. Seems to be very easy to rebuild. The moisture filter works great but I still like to pump in an air conditioned room. That extends the life of the round balls that absorb water in the moisture filter. Some complain of too short a hose. I pump up a Hatsan Gladius and it has a removable air cylinder. Makes pumping nice not having to lay the gun on the ground. A short hose requires less pumps to pressurize it and less air loss.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

It's the best pump out there. I like the pressure gauge, the dry pack feature and it's not that hard to pump up my air arms s510 with it. Parts availability is really good.

    Things I would have changed:

Make a dust cover for the shaft so it can be more field ready because every time the shaft gets dust, dirt or hair on it you have to wipe it down and re-lube it. Also a carrying case would be a great option.

    What others should know:

If you want to be mobile and self reliant with your pcp this is the best pump to do that with. Just don't get crazy pumping it, you could overheat the o-rings.

    Things I liked:

Pump seems VERY well built. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to pump up my Airforce Talon ss tank to 3000psi. And i am 62 years old and not in good shape at all.

    Things I would have changed:

    Lower price of course.

    What others should know:

Check out the videos on u tube on how to use the pump.

    Things I liked:

Built like a tank! What the pictures don't show you is that solid block of aluminum the base is made of. The plastic just fits over the top of it, so don't let the plastic foot holds fool you. I also have the Benji pump, and there really is no comparison in build. This pump moves more air, and is easier to pump with. The hose is longer and much more flexible than the one on the Benji. I can go from 100bar to 200+bar without stopping on my AT-44 long, which has a 230cc air cylinder. I resisted spending this much $$ on pump, but I wish I had purchased this one from the start and saved a lot of trouble and effort.

    Things I would have changed:

The only thing I can think to change would be slightly larger grips, and a lower price. Every thing else is on point.

    What others should know:

The desiccant filter on this pump alone makes it superior to the other pumps. I've taken my cylinder apart a few times to change the regulator setting, and it is always bone dry. The Benji pump I had almost ruined my regulator with all the moisture that was getting in! I will never own a hand pump without the desiccant filter.

    Things I liked:

i don't have much to add after reading Mark 's review, and well put on Nick's review concerning this pump's ability to dry the air, ( that is critical because water acts like a heat battery, is corrosive, and, unlike air, does not compress, or then rebound ). i do have to express, however, that i feel the foot plate is actually more than adequately strong, in that i focus on my pumping efficientcy, and so likely lift quite a bit slower than Mark must be....i mean i pump fast when i am just bringing the hose up to pressure, but when the gun starts filling it's more meditative and relaxed..

    Things I would have changed:

    no

    What others should know:

it's my first, and so only, PCP hand pump....so all can say is i am happy i spent the extra $ for the air drying features, and serviceability....it seems like a very nice unit to me, but again, no previous experience for comparison.

    Things I liked:

    1) Nicely machined with few tool marks. 2) Operates smoothly. 3) Gauge is of good quality and accurate. 4) Ample supply of silicon lubricating grease is supplied. It comes in a re-sealable screw top tube rather than a one-use plastic packet with a cut-off style tip. Easy to store and won't make a mess.

    Things I would have changed:

    1) Hose is too short- another 12" of length or so would be helpful. 2) Plastic foot plate is too flexible and a bit small in area- the pump doesn't seem as stable under load as it could be.

    What others should know:

    1) Filling the tank of my AA S400MPR from 100 Bar to 200 BAR takes about 65 strokes. 2) When not in use covering the air dry cylinder with a freezer type plastic bag and securely zip tying it at the base may help extend the life of the desiccant. 3) The bronze mesh of the air filter on top of the desiccant canister is exposed- you'll need to take care it isn't damaged. 4) I really would like to see a better foot plate on this pump. I would expect better in a pump in this price range.

    Things I liked:

I rebuilt my hill three and still could not get high enough pressure to work. So I purchases a hill 4 with rebuild kits for my three and the new hill 4 . The new hill four came today with the rebuild kits. The hill pumps have very short hoses the foster connect I ordered is opposite of the hill 3 I need a male foster this time and a decent size hose. Why does the most expensive pump have no connectors and such a short hose. I am not sure where my leak is in my hill three pump it is only two or three years old and has not been used much. I am very careful not to overheat the pump or use hydrocarbon lubrication. I have alot of experience in diesel mechanic and hvac hydrolic and pneumatic experience. I like the idea of allowing the user in the field to rebuild the orings. But the one small green oring is alleged to be the main trouble part according to internet. I think hill should create a utube demonstration video showing their pump being rebuilt. I also think that two or three extra

    Things I would have changed:

Include a longer hose with a foster connection and at least two extra green orings. Also a utube video from hill showing how to rebuild their pump

    What others should know:

Make sure you order proper fittings and the hose is short

    Things I liked:

Well made. After a session of 50 pumps, the tube isn't warm at all. Requires less effort to pump than cheaper pumps.

    Things I would have changed:

You'll need no purchase a fill adapter separately.

    What others should know:

Before I got the Hill Pump, I used a $100 Chinese pump from Amazon... so I'm comparing my experience with that. Seemed like the Chinese pump was always stopping up with debris, retaining water, putting water in the gun, etc. After a pumping session the tube was always burning hot. I got the Hill pump as soon as I could. I know it costs significantly more than other available pumps, but it is a well investment. It's well made and puts cleaner air in your rifle.

High quaility pump , easy to assemble .Pump fills my Airforce , and Hatsan very easily seems to take less effort . Purchased this pump to replace my Airforce pump ( needs a rebuild kit ) no longer working after 13 years.

    Things I would have changed:

A longer fill hose would be a great upgrade .

    What others should know:

Make sure to use plumbers tape on all connections .

Takes 160 to 170 pumps to go from 100 bar to 200 on my Evanix

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

Pump slow and use body weight to squat while pumping, I'm 180 lbs and do not find it difficult to use although I did purchase a 90 cu inch tank shortly after, if I could only have one it would be the pump.
