A grate pump for my tack driving .22 maruder. Takes a min. or so to pump slowly from 2050 to 2700 psi , which puts my jsb 13.43`s at 954 fps 3/8"groups at 60 yards. Be sure to use the plastic handel thread protector (that folks toss )to keep the air filter-moisture absorber sealed when not in use.(it fits perfectly over it ).

Pump slow & full strokes, if it gets very warm, stop & let it cool , you will overheat the seals & shorten their life . Watch a couple of youtube videos & get the low down .

A pump that doesnt break down, rust on the inner tube, and rust inside the the outer tube, which causes the seals to break down fast. Better service from pyramid air in responses or inquiries about problems regarded to the pump. Bought a second one to replace broken first buy. Rebuilt first buy (3 months old) which needed major overhaul. All parts and piping came free of charge directly from hill. The second pump had a seal failure within 2 months.

Pyramid customer service told me that the Hill pump will cause damage to my gun and that I should get a tank instead. I was told this after I wanted to return the second pump. I spoke to a senior engineer at Hill Co. He assured me proper maintenance and lubrication will give me years of pump performance. He gave me detailed instructions and tips via email. Mailed all products free of charge from UK and gave me extra items like dry pack refills, grease and seals. It arrived in Hawaii in 5 days!

Very good pump. It works well filling the rifle. I read reviews saying it was an arduous task but I found it to be relatively easy to do. Seems like a high quality product. I would highly recommend it if you cant afford the other options.

Cant think of anything I would change except the filling hose should be longer.

Save your money and get an electric air pump and storage bottle

Easy assembly up and running in less than 10min. Seems well built has moisture filter included. Works well . . . . .for now. Less effort than some other pumps (BJ Hand Pump).

Include a couple of small sized wrenches to secure fasteners. $50 lower price.

Believe the reviews that say this pump is much easier than the other hand pumps. TRUE! I have another hand pump and have yet to get it to the 200bar. Others will fill the BJ Discovery/Maximus to 2000psi but they struggle to get tgo the 200bar fill level in the Hatsan AT44-10 short and long. This hill pump received today was able to fill to the 200bar for the Hatsan AT44-10 short air cylinder. Requires strength. . .yes but it will get there will much less effort vs another pump.. . The BJ Hand pump. Pricey probably worth it if the tank fill method is not possible. I have a BJ 15" Tank but finding fill stations is a pain. BTW. . . .FIRE STATIONS do not fill these tanks here in TX. Hill pump is the next best thing. . . .so far.

Excellent hand pump, although I've never tried any other. Gets the air where it needs to be (with some effort of course), and gives you both dessicant and gauge to help protect your air gun investment.

The instructions for assembly were a bit sketchy and had to kind of muddle through, but it got assembled OK.

Quality construction

I've used the pump at least 20 times so far without any negative issues.

I added some pipe insulation around the handle which helps cushion the last 20 or so compressions. I'm glad I bought this pump as it's not really that hard to use up to 200 bar. I weigh 158 lbs and I'm in average physical condition.

Outstanding quality in a well made product. Assembly is very easy and instructions are easy to understand.

Purchase does not appear to be compatible with the Hatsan Bullmaster. The Bullmaster fill probe does not appear to be compatible with the fitting on the Hill Pump hose fitting, making it impossible to charge the airgun. An expensive mistake.

I have contacted Pyramid Air to ask if their is some sort of adapter available to match the HIll Pump to the Hatsan in order to charge. Hopefully there will be one available. If not, I may have to spend an additional $200 dollars for a Hatsan pump in order to use the air gun.

Hose to short and the part you screwed the adaptor into leaked at 1000 pounds had to go buy an o ring no reply from their help line

This pump is great. I had a Benjamin and could only pump up to 2700 lbs. I only weigh 135 lbs. and now I can pump my marauder up to 3000lbs. with no problem.

I like the way this pump is made and the fact that it comes with a moister dryer.

Put a foster fitting on the hose and a repair kit

This Hill pump takes less effort to pump to 250 bar than my other hand pump. I should have got this pump from the beginning.

The Hill MK4 pump is built very heavy duty and is straight forward to service. It is perfect to use with an Air Arms T200, S200 or Crosman Challenger type sporter class rifle with around a 100cc air reservoir. I have found filling up the tank on an Anschutz 300cc air reservoir can be a bit of a workout because of the additional capacity. The nice thing is that you can always take a break or breaks as you pump. Hill sells a rebuild kit so you can service the pump yourself which I think is great.

As others reviewers have stated the hose is a bit short so I bought a replacement 24 inch Air Venturi hose for $29 which was an easy change over.

Consider attaching a (PY-A-4926) Female Quick-Disconnect to the hill pump. Most air rifles need either male quick disconnect adaptor Air Venturi SS Female DIN... for DIN threads, Air Venturi Male Quick-Disconnect, 1/8"... to adapt to 1/8” BSPP threads, or already have a male quick disconnect included. Quick disconnects allow fast change overs from one air rifle to another without tools.

This pump is great. I used it to replace the pump I have for my Benjamin Discovery rifle. I've gone through 2 pumps in the last few years, this one is built to last. One of the best things is if something should go wrong, Pyramyd Air sells a rebuild kit for it, something that you can't get for the Benjamin one.

Just entered the PCP world and had to decide between getting a pump of going the tank route. When with the pump. The pump assembled easily enough and worked like a charm. My gun takes a charge of 3000 psi but the pump will go to 4000 psi so I may be able to upgrade to an FX in the future and use the pump to fill it.

There should be a clip for the air hose to keep it and the fill probe off of the ground when not in use.

I'm 53, not very fit and was able to reach 300 psi without too much effort and the pump never seemed top heat up. However, I can image that guys and gals older than myself or with some physical limitations might find pumping a gun to capacity a bit of a chore. Also, if you have weak eyes you will have to bend over to read the gauge --its a bit small for older eyes.

I did a lot of research prior to picking this pump. Knock-off pumps from Amazon are selling for 1/3 price of Hill pump. What do you get for paying 289 versus 123 on Amazon? A piece of mind that Hill pump will last with proper care. For 289, I wish they could include a set of o-ring for repair and an adapter for Maurauder pcp rifle. I would prefer the foot pad to be metal. There is a sense of durability with metal instead of plastic pad. I am 5'5" and 130lbs. From 1000psi to 300psi took me 170 pumps total with rest at 50 pumps intervals. First 50 pumps get to 1500 psi, 100 to 2000 psi, 150 to 2500 & 70 to 3000 psi. The last 70 pumps were done in 20, 20, 20 and 10. It is difficult but doable. I am sure it will get easier with more practice. At 3000 psi, I am breathing a little hard, not break a sweat yet. Within a minute, I am back to normal. I understand that Hill pumps are easier to operate than Benjamin pump. If you are in the market for it, buy it.

This was my first ever pump as I'm new to the air gun world. Directions to put it together were easy to follow. Pumping my rifle (Benjamin Marauder .25) from 2000 to 3000 is fairly easy if you don't use your back. Just let your knees bend to allow your weight to help push the pump down. I'm 5'11 and 190lbs. The dri pack that it has is a great idea, I've seen videos of a few guns that get moisture in them and get damaged.

The only thing I don't like is the price. It seems that just adding the dri pack should not increase the price by that much.

It does pump well easy to use

The foot pad could be foldable.

I would not purchase this item again. My brother bought an Air Venturi one that does have the foldable foot pad, it may not have the filter but for the price difference it's a very nice pump and works just as well
