Team USA is poised to make a formidable impact in the shooting events at the 2024 Paris Olympics. It boasts a roster of exceptionally talented athletes who have demonstrated their prowess in pistol and rifle disciplines.
Pistol Team
Alexis Lagan will compete in the women’s 10m air pistol in the pistol events. Katelyn Abeln will join her in this event and compete in the women’s 25m pistol.
For the men’s pistol event, Kieth Sanderson and Henry Leverette will aim for the 25m rapid-fire pistol competition. Both shooters bring experience and skill to this challenging event.
Rifle Team
The rifle events showcase an equally impressive lineup. Mary Tucker, a standout from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, will compete in the women’s 10m air rifle, 50m rifle, and the 10m mixed team. Tucker’s previous Olympic success, including a silver medal in the mixed team air rifle, makes her a strong contender for multiple medals in Paris.
Sagen Maddalena, a sergeant in the US Army, joins Tucker in the same three rifle events. Maddalena’s fifth-place finish in the 50m smallbore event in 2020 demonstrates her potential for a podium finish in Paris.
On the men’s side, Ivan Roe will compete in 10m air rifle, 50m rifle, and 10m mixed team. Roe, also an Army sergeant, brings championship experience to the team with his 50 m mixed team title.
Rounding out the rifle team is Rylan Kissell, who will participate in the men’s 10m air rifle, 50m rifle, and the 10m mixed team events.

With the Chinese competing, they will not stand a chance. That is unless they take drugs like the Chinese.
I don’t know any of the pistol shooters but do know the rifle shooters and follow them. My wife and daughter had dinner with Ivan a few weeks ago. They are all really good and stand a good chance. The Olympics are tough. It only happens every 4 years and you have to be peaking in performance at just the right time. Any one of the rifle shooters can podium this year. They just need shoot a good match all four are capable of doing.
