You'll be ready to hunt small and medium-sized game and vermin with the Gamo Whisper CSI Camo! It sports a RealTree Hardwoods camo stock & barrel. Plus, the non-removable noise dampener reduces the report (noise) up to 52%, which means you won't spook game while hunting. But, just because the Whisper is modestly priced doesn't mean you give up anything in the accuracy department! You'll be hitting your targets and making one-shot kills time after time. This just might be the ideal spring gun!

We measured the cocking effort with the metal spring, and it was 35 lbs. (Gamo lists it at 30 lbs.).

Velocity will vary depending on the type of ammo you use:
.177: 1200 fps with PBA, 1000 fps with lead
.22: 950 fps with PBA, 750 fps with lead

very easy to cock this gun for the power it puts out! my daughter loves to shoot it and hits all targets she aims at! very easy to work on!

Things I Would Have Changed

i changed the trigger the minute i got the gun to a grt111 it takes most of the blame out of how you pull the trigger if you miss! most times you can blame the pellet or the scope/break barrel!

What Others Should Know

i got it in .22 for little pests around the house and its very quiet for the power it puts out

Great gun! My second air rifle, my first one was a daisy something that i got for $100 at Wal-Mart which is also 1000fps. I must say now that I have a great air rifle which is this Gamo Whisper, I am really hooked on air rifles. I have a Leapers 4x32 scope on my whisper with the Dragon Claw clamp-on bi-pod, and I must say this rifle looks awesome. Smooth easy cocking, light weight, quiet, very accurate! for the first time ever i have been hitting the exact same spot twice in a row. very consistent accuracy.

nothing...maybe 5000fps in the same gun? lol
