The JTS Airacuda Max PCP Air Rifle is an effective and reliable airgun with a handsome stock at a reasonable price. With the ability to reach velocities up to 850 FPS in .30, 900 FPS in .25 and 920 FPS in .22, it delivers excellent performance for plinking, pest control, and small-game hunting.
This air rifle is fully regulated so it yields smooth and consistent velocity for each shot for predictable performance. In addition, it includes a threaded adapter for the addition of a moderator, to lower the sound below that of the quiet shots already provided by the shrouded barrel (1/2x20 in .22 & .25, M18 in .30).
The JTS Airacuda Max has a textured rubber buttpad that results in stable and repeatable control, and the solid wood thumbhole stock features attractive and extensive laser-engraved checkering on the grip and forearm for a firm hold. The underside of the stock has dual gauges--one for reservoir fill pressure, the other for regulator pressure--and the end of the air reservoir has a convenient male Foster quick-disconnect fill fitting.
To aid the shooter in producing accurate shots, the air rifle utilizes an all-metal Picatinny optics rail to enable the addition of a scope. An elevation-adjustable cheek rest helps to ensure proper eye alignment, and the sidelever easily cycles one of the two included 10-round (7-round in .30) metal magazines.

This is an extraordinary air rifle. Heavy, but who hand-holds this thing? (You’d have to be quite strong.) The accuracy is what distinguishes it, Close groups, once sighted-in, inevitably result. I find the cocking lever has a “hitch” as you load each pellet from the magazine; perhaps this will diminish over time with use, but it does require a good “push” after the “pull” of the cocking cycle. The finish is a dull matte but can be tricked out with one of those stock oils, and I intend to do so as it is very nice to look at and a little gloss will make it even more so. It’s so accurate I might actually enter an old farts’ air gun match thing at my local gun club this summer (2024). I own 10 air rifles in various propellant modes and this one is exceptional. I won’t pay Two Large for an air rifle, however, so this one is technically “reasonably priced” and something of a top for me. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it. It’s validating to see those close groups in the scope.
Things I would have changed:Apparently the rifle used to be able to accept a moderator, but JTS began permanently attaching the screw-on end piece of the barrel. Rumor has it you can apply heat and the “lock-tite” might loosen, but I’d rather not risk harming the barrel. It isn’t quiet, but it isn’t like shooting a 30.06, either.
What others should know:I have had issues with two other rifles purchased from Pyramyd (not their faults) and they have been most accommodating about returns. KEEP YOUR SHIPPING BOXES AND PACKING MATERIALS “just in case.” And follow their return instructions specifically.

I just shot 80 .22 pellets this morning into four groups of about nickel sized at my 20 yard bench rest short yard range. it is highly repeatable and at these short distances the gun went from 3100 psi to about 1800 psi in 80 shots of mid weight benjamin single strike and h and n target and hunting pellets. It much preferred the Benjamin single strike for accuracy. I like the gun and have its brother in .25 as well. I thought a good value for the price. I bought a separate scope for it.
Things I would have changed:Not much. They did a good job. If there were anything I would suggest they do a better finish color on the beech stocks they use where it is made to look a little browner. I refinished both my .22 and my .25 stocks after I got them.
What others should know:I don't know that you will beat an FX Impact Mk3 or Panthera shooting slugs at 100 yards but if you want to have solid build, good quality, repeatable accuracy, this works. Love the magazines. Only one better is the new brocock flip open mag.

What is the size of the air tank
I have the 30 cal it says 3500 psi or 241 bar. I don't think the 22 or 25 goes that high.
This seems like a awesome entry level pcp. Reading up a it on them and saw a few guys were experiencing clipping when adding a moderator especially on the .30. Is this something that you have heard of and is there a remedy?
About three months ago, the 30 caliber Airacuda Max that I ordered did clip moderators. So did the 22 caliber and 25 caliber that I ordered as well. I returned them. Recently, I thought it may be that a later batch would have corrected the problem. So I bought another 30 caliber Max. Thankfully, it did not clip a 35 caliber Ronin moderator. I'm not even gonna go back and try the 22 and 25 caliber because I've given up on JTS as a company. But I love my 30 caliber because the only problem I had was moderator clipping and now there's no longer a factor.
How can I mount a bipod on an Airacuda Max in 25 caliber?
just put a picatinny on the front of the forestock
There is no picatinny rail on the bottom of the forestock. I would not be confident with other methods of attaching a bipod.
