This rifle is one of the best out of the box I have shot in a long time. I have been thorugh many rifles, some stay and some go for one reason or another. This rifle isn't going anywhere! I have owned an HW97K and a TX200. The 97K has since been sold, it needed a tune straight out of the box. I still have the TX200 but have since done some work to it. This LGU is not as powerful as the TX200 but has such a smooth firing cycle it is on par with TX and cheaper too. I was a little worried about the plastic trigger but didn't need to be. The rifle is so good you wont even notice. It isn't blued as nice as the TX but how long does the bluing really last anyways? Buy it you will fall in love in the first few shots. This secret will get out quick and the price will go up- it is that good!
Things I would have changed:Sell the rifle with the metal trigger. If you install it yourself the warranty is null and void.
What others should know:Probably the best value in a high end air rifle right now. .177's are sold out everywhere. The Brits across the pond are raving about this rifle. Look it up on PA's blog Tom Gaylord put this rifle through its paces and came to the same conclusion, this rifle rivals the TX200.

I bought this rifle because of the reports of great accuracy reported about its sibling the LGV. It has not disappointed me as it is as accurate out of the box as any air gun I own, which includes a ProSport, TX 200 and HW77.
Things I would have changed:The plastic trigger is very cheap and should not be on a gun of this price range. The adjustment screw fell out as soon as I attempted to adjust it as the trigger was adjusted poorly. The adjustment screw is held in the trigger blade by a very small brass insert and the screw and insert fell out as if they had been improperly installed. I was able to repair the issue by replacing the screw and insert with a slightly larger screw that threaded into the plastic without the brass insert. I later replaced the plastic trigger with the metal "Tuning Trigger" at an additional $30 cost and in doing so voided any warranty on the entire gun according to this web site.
What others should know:The quality of the gun is mostly good with the exception of the plastic trigger and the sloppy fit of the cocking arm. When cocking the gun you need to carefully return the arm to the stowed position and make sure the detent ball is engaged unlike my other underlever guns that can simply be closed without any thought.
This gun is heavier than any of my other guns, not a big deal just be aware it is not for a small person.

Accurate right out of the box. I put 6 JSB Exact pellets into one hole at 40 yards. Nice looking with overall fine quality. Priced well for a gun of this quality. I am very happy with the purchase.
Things I would have changed:That trigger needs help. Most people that get this gun will jump on why a gun of this stature had a plastic trigger installed. This is the only reason for a four star rating. I hope Walther hears enough about this and makes a change in the future.
What others should know:My gun came through very wet with oil. It dieseled and I wound up spending a bit of time cleaning it before doing any serious shooting.
The paperwork refers to this and said it would clear up after shooting it for a while.
