    Things I liked:

The gun is lightweight, accurate and my wife loves it.

    Things I would have changed:

As far as the gun goes, nothing.

    What others should know:

I ordered the Umarex Notos and clicked the "PCP Hookup" tab. I chose the Air Venturi G9 and the site stated I was "All Hooked Up". This tells me the pump will fit the gun and work properly. When I received the shipment, the pump worked with the test plug, but the fill probe did not fit the pump properly. I managed to fill the gun twice with a lot of fiddling and fussing to get the air into the gun. After that it would not work. I sent a message to Pyramid Air about this and they said I had to contact Umarex. This is not acceptable. I purchased all these items from Pyramid Air, and I expect them to honor any problems. They stated that these items would work together. I will never order from Pyramid Air again.

    Things I liked:

I like everything about the gun but the trigger. I love the left side cocking lever, and I am a “rightie”. This is the handiest Airgun I own. Short, light, fast handling and more accurate than I would have believed.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger, as is, is decent. The pull weight is very high, but it is a crisp break and does not interfere with accuracy. The trigger adjustment screw is useless. Surely some genius on YouTube will come up with a fix.

    What others should know:

I gave this gun 5 stars all the way around. It won’t replace my FX, but for the price, it is an outstanding Airgun. If I wear it out, I’ll buy another. I am 78, a lifelong shooter and an avid air gunner. I love my Notos

    Things I liked:

This carbine is a great value! Very accurate inside 50yds, maybe farther but that's as far as I've shot it because I only have a red dot on it. It shoots CPHP 14.3gr pellets great. And lead free ammo of the same weight hit the same spot, as did H&N Excite.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd make the hammer spring adjustable with the stock on and the trigger a little lighter from the factory. And a regulator you can adjust, but it was only $269....

    What others should know:

Get an extra magazine, one isn't enough!

    Things I liked:

Positive reviews online, and the price point drew me right away towards this purchase. The Notos is a great little rifle, perfect for backyard, plinking and target shooting. It would also make a good testing Rifle as well . The rifle itself weighs under six pounds and is highly accurate! If Umarex ups their game with a Notos .25 caliber, I will jump in line in a heartbeat!

    Things I would have changed:

Considering the price, I don’t have a lot of expectations, but, I would love to have the pistol grips and iron sites and a larger capacity magazine come standard with the rifle. That being said, all those things are available online..

    What others should know:

If you’re new to PCP rifles, then I highly suggest that Umarex Notos makes it onto your list of considerations! In my opinion, you won’t be disappointed!

    Things I liked:

This gun is a blast to shoot, super light, no recoil at all, easy to cock, nice trigger, easy to fill air cylinder, easy to read gauge and ACCURATE! Shooting 30 yards at small pill bottles and never miss, with a Red dot!! Umarex hit this one out of the park!!

    Things I would have changed:

The stock should have some drop or put it on an angle down, it’s hard to get down on scope or Red dot unless you raise it at least an inch.

    What others should know:

Buy it, you won’t be disappointed!!

    Things I liked:

I like almost everything about this gun and am so happy to have decided to buy one. I do not like a lot of pellet rifles because of the weight and overall size. This is short and light to carry. The overall look of it is great. I put a 3X9 on it and so able to accurately play at short distances or out near 50 yards. The trigger pull on mine is very good straight out of the box. I really want to mention the sound. This gun is the quietest of the 4 rifles I have by quite a bit. The finish is good and looks to be of good workmanship. It came to pressue as expected and holds fine. The bolt is fairly stiff in movement but I expect it to lighten up after some use.

    Things I would have changed:

The only two issues I would change are that it badly needs an adjustable cheek piece. As mentiioned by others, even with tall rings, it is necessary to really get down against the cheek. The second is that I hope magazines are availble soon as you really need a couple or a aftermarket high capacity one.

    What others should know:

Unless you are expecting a $1000 quality gun for $260. you will be very pleased with the Notos. It seems to me to be good value for the money.

    Things I liked:

The fit and finish is pretty good and better than I thought it would be for the price. The size is perfect. It really is a fun little pellet gun and you can't beat the price. I just have a hand pump and it works perfect with the Notos. Also very quiet, I have been using it in my backyard with no issues. I live in a suburb with a decent size yard but not the acreage like you see on Youtube, that they call a backyard.

    Things I would have changed:

This thing should really come with iron sights in my opinion. Not a big fan of the cocking lever, I am fine with it being on the left side but the sort feels brittle. Also, I hope that there will be more upgrades available over time. Could use a little bigger air tank. To be honest the magazine is kind of "jenky" like a lot of oem mags but works well enough for now.

    What others should know:

I don't have an opinion on accuracy, it seems fine at close range. I put a cheap reflex sight that is probably more suited for airsoft but it works great in my situation. A lot of the Youtube videos you see get into the weeds about accuracy and tuning, but I find the Notos is just fine to go out and have some fun right out of the box. I use JSB 15 grain pellets with no issues.

    Things I liked:

Short, maneuverable, light weight when scoped, and very accurate. Adjustable stock allows my 11 year old grandson a comfortable fit.

    Things I would have changed:

Not a fan of the magazine. Depending on the pellet, cycling can be smooth as butter or in need of gentle massaging.

    What others should know:

The gun did have trouble taking first air as in other reviews, but has performed flawlessly since with no air loss. Domed pellets seem to cycle best. Changes in pellet geometry (polymags, destroyer, even hades) has an effect on cycling smoothness. Regardless of cycling efficiency, my gun absolutely loves everything. Air Arms 18 grain are hole on hole at 25 yards. This gun is too much fun. I mounted a 3x9x32 bug buster and it seem a good complement out to 45 yards. I forget it's an 18 - 20 fpe pistol. It has quickly bumped my higher end air rifles for small game inside of 45 yards. For mid $200's, you can't go wrong.

    Things I liked:

I got my Notos from PA 5 weeks ago. It performed pretty well for about 750 to 1000 shots. Especially for its size/weight. 1” to 1.25” 7-shot groups out to about 45 yds with JSB 15.89 and 18.13, with avg MV of about 735 and 705 for those, and 23 shots on reg per fill. Plenty of power/accuracy for small game/pests/plinking out to 40 yds Easy to fill with hand pump and quiet. Fun. Used a UTG Bugbuster scope.

    Things I would have changed:

Then I started to have problems with rough to very hard cocking. I did use a little bit of silicone oil and grease, but it still got progressively worse. After about a total of 1250 to 1500 shots, the cocking mechanism is binding up. I took it apart and found that the steel bolt and hammer had worn small grooves in the soft aluminum receiver. I tried polishing out and lubricating the parts. It helped a little and it functioned for maybe 15 shots, but then got to point where it will not fully cock. The wear in the receiver makes everything mis-align just enough to bind up the action. This thing is disposable. The geometry of the cocking mechanism causes the parts to rub and wear the receiver excessively. A simple bolt action or redesign of the side lever action is needed for this thing to really last. It was good for the short time it lasted. Now it’s a paperweight. You get what you pay for. If you shoot a lot, this is a $265 mistake.

    What others should know:

This thing is disposable and the current design is flawed for long term use. I have 2 AV Avengers, both about a year old with well over 7500 and 10000 shots through each, and both show no signs of wear or decline. Put you money toward something other than the Notos, unless you only plan to shoot it for a few tins of pellets for its lifetime.

    Things I liked:

I like the compact size. It was a reasonable price and since I like other Umarex products I gave it a try.

    Things I would have changed:

I am not a fan of the adjustable stock. It is wiggle or flex point that allows you to slightly pull a shot. It would be nice if the magazine was on the right hand as with the cocking/loading lever.

    What others should know:

Once you get used to the magazine and loading lever being on the left side it isn't a bad little rifle. Given the shorter size than the origin it is a little louder. So far I have only played with it at about a 10 yard range, but having said that it keeps most pellets in a ragged hole at that range. I hope to get out with it this next fall and become a squirrels worst nightmare with it.

    Things I liked:

This is a super lightweight carbine that is very accurate. Power was above the manufacturer's claim right out of the box, when is a plus! Shooting 14.3 grain Crosman Domed pellets at 40 yards it's shooting sub-half inch groups and is making an average of 765 FPS. Shot count is excellent, but with only one supplied 7 round magazine, you're doing a lot of reloading between refills! The built in moderator is really quiet, quieted than some of the name brand moderators I have on my other air guns! It's definitely backyard friendly!

    Things I would have changed:

It needs a larger capacity magazine and should come with more than one. It should also include the pistol grips and iron sights so it can be configured as a pistol without having to purchase extra parts.

    What others should know:

If you are just looking for a light weight carbine with excellent accuracy, decent power, and is backyard friendly, this is an great choice for the money! A quick search of the popular airgun forums with give some great suggestions to make the trigger much better. With about 5 minutes of work, mine is now in the good to very good range! It's not a target grade trigger, but this wasn't designed to be a target rifle. For backyard pesting, it does an excellent job!

    Things I liked:

Rifle is compact. Hand pump friendly. Regulated. Shoots accurate groups at 25 yds. I was able to put 10 shots inside a dime at 25 yds. Quiet and backyard friendly. Moderator works very well. Can be uncocked safely. As a left hand shooter I like the charging handle on the left side of the gun. Charging handle works great. Seems pretty rugged and should stand up to abuse. Would make a good truck gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd like to see a Foster fitting instead of the fill probe. Trigger is awful and slides against the sear like like a scratch awl against bare steel. The trigger blade itself has significant side to side movement. Safety is not automatic, but is positive and functions well. Overall trigger quality I would rate as poor. In carbine configuration the hammer adjustment cannot be made with the stock installed. I found the rotary magazine was difficult to load occasionally- didn't slide easily into the receiver. Moderator is glued to the shroud and can't be removed. Barrel is not threaded into the receiver nor is it threaded for a moderator. The barrel is retained into the receiver with a single set screw. I found the rifle was difficult to shoot off of bags because of its light weight. If I were to keep the gun the stock would have to be changed. It needs a cheek riser as it was hard to maintain FOV sight picture through my scope even with tall rings.

    What others should know:

I really wanted to like this gun, but came away disappointed. You get what you pay for. My Notos arrived with no pressure in the air tank and I soon realized why. The rifle leaked down from the very 1st fill and got progressively worse. I never discovered where it was leaking from. On day three it lost 1500 psi from a 3,000 psi charge in < 12 hrs. I thought about taking it apart, but it was under warranty, so it went back to Pyramyd on an RMA. Pyramyd was great to do business with and they gave me a complete refund with no hassle whatsoever. Kudos to Pyramyd customer service.

    Things I liked:

What all those guys (and girs, maybe) said. Light weight, inexpensive, versatile, surprisingly well built for the price, very nice single shot tray, and amazingly accurate given the very short barrel. I was also pleasantly surprised in how very effective the manufacturer suppressor actually is. I was prepared to cut away the suppressor and replace it with an aftermarket model if necessary (done it before with a Hatsan Vectus. Requires a little machine work but necessary with some guns). but it is definitely in the low-moderate sound range.

    Things I would have changed:

Many folks have commented on the trigger. Not sure what they expected at this price point. Sure, in Umarex could install something equivalent to a Quattro trigger and still hold the price point, that would be nice. But I find the trigger acceptable and have not attempted any adjustment with it yet. If a smoother, lighter pull is wanted, learn how to take down a trigger and polish all the contact surfaces. But for a pistol type platform I think it is OK. I don't have an issue with having just one magazine supplied (my S510 only included one magazine and at $1800 you'd think two would be a given) but it would be nice if they would include open sights considering that it is a carbine configuration and that type rifle virtually always has open sights. Since the accessory sights are only $10 it seems likely Umarex makes them for a couple bucks so including them should be an no-brainer.

    What others should know:

Now a report of the problem I did have when this gun arrived. First fill streamed right thru the tube and out the transfer port, Having experienced this with another gun I figured that the hammer might be bearing on the valve and holding it open, so I cocked the gun and tried filling. That eliminated the flow-thru issue, but an hour later it had bleed out completely. I filled again and this time I could hear air leaking out the fill valve. Unwilling to give up I cycled the rifle thru a fill quickly and refilled and cycled it a couple more times. Figured maybe the seals on the fill valve needed to seat (same with the seals on the regulator valve and transfer valve) and cycling several times might do the trick. AND, it did. I was totally happy since the pellets I had put thru it to that point indicated it was a really accurate little gun. To their credit, the folks at Pyramyd Air had responded to my early report of an issue with an RMA, no questions asked. But not needed!

    Things I liked:

I wanted a PCP pistol so this is why I got it.. I never put the stock on, just the pistol grip and open sights.. it seems very accurate, I have tried two different pellets.. jsb 18 and the heavy redesigned jsb.. I was actually surprised that the magazine accepted the heavy redesigned since they are longer.. shot a 3 inch spinner at 40 yards and very accurate.. function very well and very quiet, the redesigned jsb is the quietest of the two.. but it is a lot quieter than the blitz and the avenger.. also it's one of only a few PCP guns that have a option for open sights.. it's ok to have the rail for a scope but I think all PCP guns should at least be like this one so you have the option for open sights

    Things I would have changed:

length.. I really wanted the attaman ap16 compact.. but it's a lot of money and apparently no longer available because of the war.. the moderator I is permanently attached, I'm assuming for import reasons.. it should be able to unscrew to make it smaller.. seems for the money to be a good gun. especially since it's regulated.. also I have read and responded to several people on the airgun nation forum that said the rear sight is junk and just falls off.. unfortunately with no instructions on installing the sight it would be easy to assume that.. but there's tiny set screw in the front sight and if you put the rear sight under a magnifying glass it's got two tiny holes to access the set screw underneath but they only align up if you first adjust the sight all the way down before installing it

    What others should know:

this gun has what all PCP guns should have.. at least the option for open sights.. the fiberoptic really gets light and easy to see.. I don't think you can get a better PCP pistol for the money.. it's very similar to the snow peak 750 but the moderator is outside and permanent and it's also holding on the shroud that's inside the housing.. it apparently doesn't have a front guide, or sleeve and has a little side play but it doesn't seem to affect accuracy.. very accurate and it's a good pistol. from what I have seen it's better quality than the snow peak 750 pistol
