The crossbow is fast and accurate. It is front end heavy. There is a monopod " steadyeddy" that you can use to help stabilize. It works but adds additional weight and is another thing that you have to deal with when trying to make a shot. First crossbow blew itself up when I was shooting at a deer. Was replaced and have not had any issues with it. The bow only comes with a safety button on the right side. I personally like having the safety buttons on both sides. The scope that came on the bow is nice and because it has both lighted and non lighted reticule lines and dots you can aim well even when it is full sun.

I took the advice of several friends (who already own TenPoint) and went with a Viper 430. I'm glad that I did! This crossbow has been extremely accurate and fun to shoot. I also like that it's easy and safe to decock. This was a great solution that will allow our entire family to hunt archery season.

My Viper 430 is powerful, accurate and accudraw is super quiet. Compact for hunting in close situations. I watched each deer I shot fall over within 40yds.You will not regret with is choice!!!

The bow is fast and accurate BUt the decocking feature is terrible. My decocking feature got stuck and I took it in to a dealer to have them fix it and they could not fix it. The dealer actually made it worse so I sent it back to ten point and they had to replace half of the bow. Then I got it back after bow season and I still can’t get it to decock. I’m really sick to my stomach because of the money I spent on this bow. I wish I would’ve bought a Ravin.

Setup was easy, very accurate, easy to sight in. The decocking mechanism works great! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could find a crossbow that is so perfect for me! Easy to cock, load, aim, & shoot - it's pure perfection!

I am a first time crossbow user due to an arm injury last summer. My local archery shop owner suggested I try a Ten Point so I could still get out in the woods. Once I bought the Viper 430, the sight in process began. It was pretty simple and I could not believe the power and speed of this crossbow. My broadhead of choice is the QAD Exodus and after some modifications of stripping the vanes off the arrows and putting on 2” Blazer vanes, this Viper shot spot on all the way out to 100 yards. I never even bothered shooting farther than that…. I made the trip out to Wyoming to shoot a 175” mule deer at 51 yards and then I shot a 7.5 year old 10 point whitetail deer this past fall in Minnesota. Pretty jacked up to say the least. Overall, the Viper 430 surpassed all expectations and it is no doubt a tack driver. I love the cocking system for ease of use and it is just solid all around.

I bought a viper 430 yesterday and I love it,it is very accurate at 20,40,50,60,80 or 100 yds very very happy with it.

This is my first crossbow. My son and I got picked for an archery hunt at our local wildlife refuge. I’m glad I bought this beast. My son was able to harvest a buck and a doe at 40 yards.

Great crossbow! Bar far my favorite crossbow I've ever owned, sighted in the day I got it, nailed a doe double lung shot the very next day and a decent 8 point straight through the heart 3 days later, neither deer went 30 yards after the poke, I couldnt be happier, very accurate and the build quality is top notch you cant go wrong with the viper 430

New to crossbow hunting - this is a fantastic start. Easy to understand, straightforward to learn. The Acuslide cocking and de-cocking takes away a lot of the difficulties. The Burris Oracle X was simple to sight in and is incredibly accurate. I love it.

Almost got the s400 instead. So glad I didn’t. First time crossbow. Very easy to operate and sight in with ease. Extremely accurate. Especially with 465 grain bolt. Can’t wait to get more use.

Switched from compound to crossbow with MN hunt update. Traded in compound for a Viper S430 and wow what an upgrade. Easy to load with crank mechanism , easy to shoot and so accurate, and easy to maneuver in my deer stand. Highly recommend especially for crossbow beginners

Very accurate and easy to operate. It’s very safe and the trigger pull is amazing. I have hunted with several bow and this one is probably the nicest so far.

4 shots with minor scope adjustments and hitting bullseye at 20 yrds. Adjustments at 40 yrds are easy. For a first time crossbow user, easy to understand. All aspects of crossbow from cocking/decocking to safety and handeling are simple. Chose this crossbow for the simplicity of use and safety features.

Advanced crossbow I’ve ever had. A joy to cock or decock and the narrow design distributes the weight and balances very well.

So far I've only had the chance to use it on targets. With it's speed I sugggest you consider shooting at targets at a minium of 30 yards. Any closer and you risk damaging your fletching. That could get expensive. The only down side is the cable life is decreased to 2 year for normal use. That comes with the trade-off to obtain the 430 FPS speed. No issues to date. Remember to read the insructions and if possible have a knowlegeable salesperson assist you were you purchase the bow. Suggestion: Make sure you demo the bow that you intend to purchase. The Viper fits all of my needs, accurate, reliable and fast.

Love the bow. Excellent build and value for the money, and it shoots lights out. Black Street Archery, where I purchased the bow, is the best shop I've ever been to.
