Awesome bow. I like the Alpine color. Bow is very fast. The scope is good.

The TenPoint Nitro 505 is a well designed, balanced crossbow. I bought this crossbow for several reasons. The first is the accuracy of it. The second is the speed, and of course the Acu Slide. This is an all around great product.

Had to take back to get fixed brake on crank didn't work. Only shot 20 times

It’s easy to sight in and at 109 yards I’m getting quarter sized groups I like the way that you can decock the bow the bow is not that heavy the reverse Dre makes getting in my stand a lot easier and able to maneuver tight spaces with out getting hung up on tree branches

I own the venom crossbow and been very successful with it. Replacing with the nitro 505 would be really great!

Super fast , Great piece of equipment . Only place I can see improvement would be on the scope glass. It could be clearer. It will increase my range.

Fastest bow I have ever shot. Very easy to cock and un cock. They thought of everything right down to using your sling to make a back pack out of your case. Very impressive.

Nightmare, Extremely poor (or no) quality control during the manufacturing process.
My certified Ten Point dealer spent six weeks trying to understand why my Nitro was so inconsistent with grouping arrows at close range i.e. 40 yrds.
Thus far, my Second Ten Point Certified Dealer found that the cable wheels/pullies were never tightened before shipping. The shop owner and I are still working on this poorly manufactured Ten Pount Nitro.
The Nito has been a nightmare!
This is my second Ten Point and the lack of quality control during manufacturing is embarrassing.

After one shot with this crossbow, you will never want another crossbow, trust me

Overall I really love the crossbow. However, after only around 20-25 shots the servings look like they are about toast. Most are already showing signs of severe wear. This should NOT be happening with something that cost over 3K!!! I honestly expected to get well over 150 shots before I even had to think about the strings and servings. Now, I am nervous everytime i sit in the stand with it cocked.

I borrowed my friends nitro 505 for a weekend as I own the older ten point shadow ultra lite “which has been flawless”. But I’m thinking about giving the shadow to my son and buying the nitro for next season. This would make my son happy and I’ll be doing backflips to the tree stand lol.

Great bow, the 3rd one I have owned. I had an issue with the accudraw system but I was able to repair it. Very accurate and smooth shooting.

I can't believe that I waited this long to purchase a new ten point crossbow the technology is now 😳 out standing and I can't wait to see what happens next

I started last year (2022)with a Tenpoint RS470 and loved it. I was able to take 3 deer with it. I had no reason to ever shoot any other crossbow. Then my wife asked if she could learn how to shoot it and that she might want to try to bow hunt with me next year. So she started practicing and she began having so much fun that we decided to purchase another bow. I tried purchasing another RS470 but everyone was out of stock. So I decided to go with the Nitro 505 knowing that it was built from the RS470. Didn’t thank you could improve a bow that in my opinion was the best I’d ever shot. But Tenpoint has made me a believer that they are always striving to better their products. The Nitro 505 is everything I hoped it would be. I can’t wait for the 2023 bow season to start a new adventure with my wife. Thanks Tenpoint!!!!

I always wanted to buy one it is a great Bow I could no longer shoot my PSE Mach 8 I was able to get a Cross bow Permit

I purchased the 505 shortly before Christmas 2022. I noticed the scope rail was not as stiff as I would have liked. The 2023 Nitro's addressed this problem by adding the scope struts. I will have to live with what I have, since the struts are said to be non-retrofittable. I think an add on scope rail stiffening kit would sell.

Sighted in the Marksman's scope which is decent quality. The red / green lighted reticle is on an infinitely adjustable rheostat, not a 5 level brightness scope with detents. The scope with rings is rather heavy, and in that 1.5 lb. range.

Sight in went well, other than I started to hear a snapping sound from the acuslide crank system after a dozen shots. Unfortunately, crank force started to increase, almost to the point of binding. Tenpoint asked that I send in the bow for inspection and possible repair. Turn around time was 2 weeks. The tech mentioned the crank system was replaced. Being so new and having issues shakes my confidence for reliability. However, Tenpoint made good on offering to repair my bow and paid for all shipping costs. I'm waiting to receive my crossbow and test it more.

I was surprised by the trigger pull force which is said to be 3.5 lbs. or less. It felt in excess of 4 lbs. plus, but I never put a force gauge to it (again being very new with limited shooting time). The repair tech looked at it and said it tested at 2 lbs. I hope that's correct, and I'll be very satisfied if true. The bow did not fire the first time I pulled the trigger when new. I verified the safety was not engaged and arrow properly nocked. All was correct. The trigger then required significant pull force to discharge the bow. A bit too heavy for me, which created doubt regarding the bow's accuracy potential. I do like the two stage trigger and had no issues getting used to the light take-up force before hitting a solid wall and start of sear engagement.

the Evo-X arrows are very top end quality. Unfortunately, they may need more weight up front, or a heavy broadhead for best accuracy. Some say a 150 grain broadhead was best. My bow tested 473 FPS with a 480 grain arrow on my chronograph, which included a 125 grain Sevr broadhead. Preliminary accuracy results were sketchy and more testing is required.

Hopefully, I'll gain more confidence for the bow's reliability and accuracy. At this time, the jury is still out.

I just got it. Love the grip, the feel of it. Well balanced. Light enough to carry but heavy enough to hold steady. Only tried at the range for now but can’t wait to go hunting with this bad boy !!
